0-Post Threads

0-post threads crop up every now and then. I'm not sure what causes it, but from some previous instances it appears that the threads can be fixed if the web guys hear about them.

So, here's a thread where you can post links to 0-post threads you find (that haven't been reposted), or to your own 0-post threads.

To start things off, here are two from today:

The zero post threads are actually caused by the denizens of an alternate earth, and are the results of their attempts to break through the dimensional barrier and conquer our world. Unlike us, these humanoids evolved from the platypus, and swiftly achieved dominance of their own earth via techno-organic science, and the proper application of wedgies. Now, these duck-billed overlords have their beady eyes on our planet!

Theyre like ZPMs, they occasionally pop up as a plot device to move the meta-story along.

I've fixed the threads linked in the first post. Please let us know if you see any more of them.

I've noticed this issue seems to occur a lot in the Gamer Connection forum. Like three times for me so far.

I think I've fixed them all... seems like we had a lot more today than usual. Hopefully Gary's fixes due next week will help this...

I believe I've found and fixed them all now.

This post is quite weird. It has 1 post according to the main messageboards page, but it acts like the 0-post threads used to (ie, when I click on it, it just takes me to the subforum the thread is supposed to be in rather than to the thread).

Edit: It works now.

It looks like the poster deleted his post, but the thread did not itself get deleted as it should have.

I tried searching for the poster (Acathala) (I had a few ideas to answer the unasked question) but he doesn't even seem to exist!

This happened to my post in Gamer Connection, too. I thought the board ate my first post, so I posted again, but later two posts by me showed up. I tried to delete the second one, but now both posts appear to be empty, but not deleted.

Now I'm not sure if I should try adding some text to the post again, or see if it dies a natural death. Sorry for the trouble. :/

Could someone please delete both those posts? I'd like to try re-posting my ad.

One is gone, the other is up there now. Hopefully when it's done this next rewrite will help fix this problem going forward.

Unfortunately they are back to haunt us. Apparently some Necrogrammer been razing old bugs.

My bad. I was trying to fix a performance problem. This should be fixed tomorrow, and all the wayward posts returned to their proper places.

This one is also stuck at 0 posts. It is a new OOC thread called Roadkill.

I am 99.9999% sure we will be able to find and fix all the affected threads, but it sure doesn't hurt to post more here. If you see a 0-post thread that isn't already listed, please provide a link and we'll make extra-sure to find it and fix it.

I should be clear that there are a couple of PaizoCon-related things we have to do tomorrow that take precedence but these things will be resolved eventually.

Sadly the game thread for 'Roadkill' is also having a 0 Post meltdown.

It's kind of looking like any newly created thread is having this problem. Just glancing in the PFRPG Advice forum, I see the following:

Seems like the ability post new threads is still affected as just scrolling down the boards a bit I see several new ones in the last 15 minutes that are zero posts.

If someone can't get the PMG his red Swingline stapler to affix posts to those threads, then the only way to be sure is to burn them with fire.

I just posted a thread and it has zero posts and cannot be accessed.
Maybe there is a limit to the ammount of threads or something? it seems that no new threads can be made.
