Help me pick spells for my Cavalier / Dragon Disciple?

Advice

She is primarily intended as a melee character. My desire is for a dragon knight type character. As such, her spell selection should be spells that improve her combat utility.

Here is her build [T'ien Lung dragons are from 3.5 Oriental Adventures, and their elemental type is Fire (30 foot cone). All other materiel is from the Core Rulebook, Advanced Player's Guide, and Ultimate Combat.]:

Gravity bow. Nothing says loving like a 2d6 arrow to the face. Lead blades would be great here. Maybe pick up a wand?

These could be fun...

:
Slipstream

School conjuration (creation) [water]; Level druid 2, ranger 2, sorcerer/wizard 2; Domain oceans 2

Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (a few drops of oil and water)

EFFECT

Range touch
Targets creature touched
Duration 10 minutes/level (D)
Saving Throw Reflex negates (harmless); Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION

You create a low-cresting wave of water that carries the target along the surface of water or the ground. When moving across level ground, the target's speed increases by 10 feet.

If going downhill, speed increases by 20 feet instead, but slipstream provides no movement bonus when going uphill.

While swimming, the slipstream increases the target's swim speed by 20 feet-if the target does not have a swim speed, this spell grants a swim speed of 20 ft.

Kinetic Reverberation

School transmutation; Level alchemist 2, sorcerer/wizard 2

Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (rubber tree sap)

EFFECT

Range touch
Target creature touched
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Fort negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)

DESCRIPTION

This spell converts the momentum and force from melee attacks made against the target of the spell, reflecting them back upon the attacker’s weapon. After making a successful melee attack against the target, an attacker must make a Fortitude saving throw for the weapon used. If the weapon fails the save, it takes damage equal to the damage rolled against the target. Creatures using natural attacks or unarmed strikes are unaffected by this spell.

I forgot that I get a Sorcerer Bonus Feat from Dragon Disciple. I made Power Attack my bonus feat, then picked up Trick Riding.

Here is the spell list I'm considering:

Prestigitation
Message
Mage Hand
Detect Magic
Detect Poison
Read Magic

Shadow Weapon
Mirror Strike
Expeditious Retreat

Bull's Strength

Does this make a good build?

Is there a magic item I could pick up to get more spells known so I can pick up Cat's Grace?

True strike is a good one to grab. I would not grab bull's strength at level 2, because it doesn't stack with a belt of strength. Mirror image is great for defense. Alter Self is good too, as the size bonus to strength stacks with everything else. Invisibility is useful in a pinch, great to use on a mount that doesn't attack.

Shadow weapon doesn't sound great to me, although it could be useful if imprisoned. Enlarge person is good for reach and size bonus to Strength, shield is good if you dont plan on carrying one. Feather fall is situational but really useful when it comes up. Grease is good for slowing down people who would run up on you when you fire your arrows.

For feats I would consider Boon Companion so your horse doesn't die as easy, and if you go back to cavalier after your 4 level investment, your horse will only be one level behind you in progression which is not too bad.
