Hi everyone.
I'm the developer of summoner, Animal Companion and Init Roller and this time i'm here to bring to you iSpellCaster: a new iPhone APP that will allow you to have a complete spell book, completely offline, and optimized for searching options.
Really fast, not expansive and really complete.
iSpellCaster contains ALL spells that you could find on all pathfinder rulebooks, and a lot of other sources like AP, paizo blog and more! A really complete Database of spells for a really low cost: 0.99$.
If you want a new feature you can write it here, and i will try to make you happy.
You can look a preview on youtube and you can get the app from the appstore.

I don't own an iPhone, but I'd enjoy this product more if it was called with a much better name, like iCast.

i really hope that you don't buy all your apps basing you opinion on names. ^_-
I don't buy apps at all, since I only get free ones with my own non-apple smartphone. But as a guy who studied Theoretical and Applied Communication, let me tell you that a name is not everything, but it is most of it.
That said, the app looks nifty and useful.

For the record I like the name. It's descriptive like I robot. ;-)
A "select all" function would be nice on the "show spells from" section.
A bit more contrast on the names also.
Black writing on dark brown background take a bit of effort to read.
Also if it was possible to say somewhere on the spell the source book that would be nice.
That's it really. Otherwise at first glance it looks like an app I'll use.

Thank you for your opinion. I will include those things inside next release, that i hope to have in 2-3 weeks.
Your opinion was really precious.thenorthman |

Hate to say it but from what I read this is why Apple's app store does get a lot of the developers developing for it. Why sometimes you won't see an app for Android or other non apple smartphones.
Then people complain.....
Just my two cents from the article I have read on why Apple App store is successful over others...

A "select all" function would be nice on the "show spells from" section.
Grouping these would be good. for example being able to select or deselect all adventure path spells, or all race books.
Also if it was possible to say somewhere on the spell the source book that would be nice.
Source book and page number would be ideal.

I Downloaded iSpellcaster but it's not working for me.
All it does when I run the program is put up a white screen that says "My Universal App for iPad"
Any idea what's going on?
I'm using an iPad2.
Ops... apparently i made a mistake. Please, be patient just one week for apple approval. i fix this now. i'm sorry for the issue.

the "my spell book" feature would be 12 kinds of awesome.
If that same feature syncs between devices it's that much more awesome! I will use this in campaigns instead of writing stuff down.
I think that this is possible. ^^ i will make it as soon as i can.
todo list (in order of release):- my spellbook
- iPad version
- Cloud integration.
Is there any other feature you would like to see on this app??

The spell sources. meaning which book the spell came from in a footnote or something
Can't think of anything else, but I'll let you know if I do. Thanks for this. Great App.

Hi everyone.
I'm the developer of summoner, Animal Companion and Init Roller and this time i'm here to bring to you iSpellCaster:(...)
Just want to let you know how useful Summoner is during game. My players loved it, and for me as a GM it saves a lot of prep time!
Now I go trying out iSpellcaster...GringoireDM |

I've been searching for some kind of list management app that would allow me to enter the spells in my wizard's spellbook, then select a subset of those as my spells prepared for the day, then allow me to check those off as they're cast.
I ran across your app in my search a few minutes ago, but haven't been able to actually try it out because AT&T's 3G connectivity is just awful in the building where I work. Unfortunately I won't be able to try it out until I leave for the day in about 6 hours.
Can anyone tell me if this sort of functionality exists in this app yet? It sounds like the "my spellbook" might fit the bill.
Also, thanks for writing these gamer aid apps. If I had the expertise and time available I'd love to try it. I'm glad someone does.
Now I should probably get back to work. :)

Reiterating my desire for the spellbook feature. I'll love you long time! :)
