I got my Worldscape minis yesterday. They are somewhat more detailed than plastic but they also look a lot more fragile. I really want to go all out painting them, but they'll probably go straight to a display case afterwards and not a table.
All's well that ends well, but in the future I probably won't back or pre-order anything from Ninja Division. I'll only get stuff I can put my hands on before paying for it.

It now looks like ND hasn't even enough minis to ship them to all northamerican backers!
Also there isn't a wave 2 yet.
To make things worse, no miniatures are produced outside of this Kickstarter, except the iconics which were already offered a year ago and there won't be any restock of the sold out ones.
I guess we can kiss the prepainted packs goodbye for 2018...

So far only a few US backers are receiving a few minis.
It seems that "Wave 1" has been further broken down into three shipments which are shipped seperately.
Also both the Vesk & Ysoki outlaw are missing their tails & the resin seems to be very brittle (which is often the case with resin to begin with in my experience).

I had backed this kickstarter because I have a need for Starfinder miniatures and there wasn't any other viable option to get them. Otherwise I would have avoiding Ninja Division at all costs. I would have preferred pre-painted as well but the couple that were made were cost prohibitive. I'm hoping eventually they'll come. As of right now, I've received nothing and no shipping notice.

That means that we need to first complete the US shipments, then package yours, then ship them out to the fulfillment centers, then finally send them on to you. This process takes several weeks minimum. October, hopefully by November 1st, but it's hard to guarantee right now. The good news is that nearly every international shipment will contain the FULL rewards for this wave, so you won't be waiting on supplemental shipments before wave two.

"Update Nr. 46
28. Sep 2018
Shipping Update - North America, Australia, Hong Kong
Greetings starfinders,
Short update today on shipping:
As we churn through packing, the last update had a list of the items to be fulfilled in completion, and across which regions we are going to be delivering. This is all still holding to plan, if only slightly delayed.
As of today, the remainder of our US/Domestic orders are 100% packed and ready for shipping next week. We are shipping all available Wave 1 miniatures. We began packing out Australia and Hong Kong today, and will quickly move to other regions."
They had two pictures with packed northamerican minis & production samples in bubblewrap.

Good news indeed. So after breaking something into several "waves", we now have a chance getting the first of those waves completely, perhaps.
I read some statements on the internet of Ninja Division not taking on bigger kickstarters anymore, complaining about a lot of stuff and customers attitude, who are so rude to request about what was promised.
Overall this seems to me like project management and customer service really need to improved on the company side there.

I guess we can kiss the prepainted packs goodbye for 2018...
Hey Marco, I have heard from the guys at ND and they have finally received the pre-painted sets in their warehouse. They should be shipping these out to distribution and to us soon so I think that there's a great chance these are available before the holidays!

Shipping didn't work out - again.
Here is the statement:

Ordinarily, I'd prefer to keep the illusion that I, Scott, am the omniscient voice of Ninja Division, but today everyone is going to see a bit more of the man behind the curtain.
These shipments have been delayed, and I'm currently waiting for more information to provide. I'd like to see these packages resume shipment first thing next week (as mistakenly stated below), but I've just been informed that may not be possible.
My inquiry into this delay is out. I'll get back to everyone with new information as soon as I have it. That's my word as a human, not just the CSR. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out to me here or at starfinder@ninjadivision.com with any questions you may have. I may not have the answers, but I'm still happy to listen.
With sincere apologies,
Scott"

Hey Jeff,
thank you for the update. :-)I trust you 100%, but i am really reluctant to believe anything coming from ND, they are not as reliable as Paizo.
Still, maybe we will see something someday. ;-)
Have a great weekend!

Last week all american backers were supposed to get their first minis shipped to them.
If you don't receive a shipping notification until sunday, i personally would consider a chargeback with your credit card company.
The credit cards were charged on october 17th 2017 & you have a one year time window for a chargeback.
Just saying.

PFB started the "dungeon dressings" & scenery incentives.
IotR hasn't copied the dressings yet (if you don't count the unpainted "Nolzur's marvelous minis" line), but it seems they are now exclusively doing scenery incentives.
I would like PFB doing something progressive with their line, like a dressing boxed set or gravity feed or a huge mini and it's lair set like the "Kraken & Islands" one.
I would also love a Starfinder prepainted minis line from a reliable minis manufacturer.

About a dozen US backers have received a shipping notice for the first wave of minis, which makes up about 15% of all announced minis.
To make things worse, a lot of the already recieved minis are in a bad shape - the resin is either flashy or brittle.
There is also no sign of the four prepainted minis packs, which are 14.5 months overdue.
These would show if Ninja Division is able to produce quality miniatures, but the long delays and people being told that stuff is on the way only to get delayed again and again shows that they are a scam company.
I would personally advise everyone to issue a chargeback with their credit card company before the 17th of october, otherwise you won't get any money back and are at the mercy of Ninja Division, which already changed their name from Soda Pop Miniatures to seemingly escape older unfullfilled Kickstarter obligations.
This may sound harsh, but at this point they have delayed the painted & unpainted minis about five times each, despite showing pictures and some prototype products, promising both Paizo & backers that things are on their way, which so far isn't true.
I would have bought both Iconics packs and 3 each of the two Fleet packs if they had been available, but so far there is no indication that a significant amount of these beyond a few prototypes for show were ever produced.
I also expect some announcements about these miniatures going forward from Paizo come 2019.

It also seems that some prepainted packs are finally shipped out.
Hey Marco, Yes we can confirm that the pre-paints have begun to arrive in distribution and we've received ours for Paizo.com.
Ninja Division has not set a uniform street date for these so the next step for us is to try and find the best date to begin shipping them out to those that pre-ordered from us. Most likely this will begin later this week so get your pre-orders in while supplies last (or go to your local FLGS and grab/order them).

Scott Davis aka "Ninja Scott", who has been answering the Starfinder Kickstarter questions, is no longer working for Ninja Devision.
It is unknown why & who will provide updates & answers now.
Also, Ninja Division has been tasked to make the miniatures for the upcoming "Ghostbusters/Men in Black" boardgame.

Looking at this in hindsight, just wanted to say a big *thank you* to the initial posters who flagged their concerns here with Ninja Division. I was seriously contemplating backing, until I was prompted to do a little due diligence by CorallineAlgae and Ventor, among others. I appreciate your positive contribution to my hobby wallet!
@ Paizo, I hope this whole ordeal hasn't dampened enthusiasm among other potential partners for bringing Starfinder minis to the masses. The Pawns are great, of course... but I wants to paint some Shirren, gosh darnit! :)

technarken |

Are there any updates on this?
Really bad rumors are circulating somehow.
@Marco: I know from US backers who did not receive a single miniature so far.
None of the backing money went to the project in any tangible way. Those people who received anything from backing this received manufacturing defect minis and leftovers from the prepainted line Paizo is currently selling. Ninja Division's manufacturer isn't going to produce any minis for them until they are paid for the last three projects. They are easily a million in the hole, and have admitted to paying themselves for the use of their own IP.

The kickstarter comment feeds are filled with people looking into things. This summation pulls from all the reports from backers that actually got product from the Kickstarter, a comment by Archon (the company that manufactures Ninja Division's resin miniatures, and Ninja Division's response to their state Attorney General's inquiries into the matter.

![]() |

Technarken isn't exactly wrong it seems.
The same iconics minis which Paizo is selling were sent to backers, only with lots of flash and Breakage issues.
Not all are defective, but many.
I have read the legal response to the state attorney myself and a lot of other stuff and personally i am 100% sure that Ninja Division, who changed their name from Soda Pop to escape older claims and to appear as a different company, are intentionally deceiving their customers.
They have been tasked for two upcoming miniature products which i would personally discoutage anybody from ordering.
