M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

mythology check DC 20:
this bears a resemblance to the city-rending creatures of legend, said to be mere stories. Yet, it seems far too small to be such a legendary creature.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
By the hand of God Himself, Michael recognizes the small dragon like thing.
He tries to think of what the stories about Dragon's said about what they're like or defeating them.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

miachel:
dragons are unbeatable in history- thier hide is indestructible. They tend to avoid landing. Even though this thing couldn't be one of those beasts, it doesn't appear weak, slightly larger then you.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"We need to avoid that if we can. I don't think it's a real dragon, but it's nothing to sneeze at."
He looks around for another way around.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

everyone else:

You don't actually know what a dragon is.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"This is bad..."
know eldritch: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

that gives you nothing more then "this creature is Probobly magical". They don't fall under know- Eldritch, unlike almost everything else in mythology.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

than what the heck is a mythology check?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

something miachel put ranks in and we discussed way back when the game started.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

if I has known about it I would have a rank in it, it's even in character given how about half of his research results have been mythology, legends and hearsay

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"Perhaps it was what they summoned, whatever it is we should stay out of it's way and double time it to our own destination"

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"Will do."
He climbs up and tries to circle them around quietly.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the creature seems intent on being near you, the mud cloud following you wherever you try and go.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

He tries moving further away.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the creature follows, and circles around you a few times when you don't move quickly.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

Michael tries to get the understandably agitated horses away as quickly as possible.
If he remembers right, Dragon's usually keep an area as theirs like many animals. Maybe leaving it will keep them alive.
"Get prepared in case this thing attacks us. If it's a dragon, God help us, if not we may possibly have a chance."

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"Dont't point your weapons at it though, hopefully it'll get bored and levee us alone soon"

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the wheel of the caravan makes a loud crack as you try and leave, and the caravan leans to the side. When you look towards the noise, the creature is holding the wheel in it's mouth and staring you down..

Male Young elf 2

"This can't be good..."
cal looks at the creature, but doesn't dare get close.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"Uh. Hello can we help you?"
He turns to the gunslinger "you say you think it's a dragon?" At conformation from the elf he repeats it in draconic, then elven, then tien (generic Asian language )then steo other languages for this system stopping when and of of appears he is understood.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

Michael just leans over and stares at the doc when he tries talking to it.
His expression bares an unmistakable aura of 'what the ♤♡♢♧ are you doing?!'

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the creature tosses the wheel far into the air.

odd dialect of draconic:

"You butcher the language, human. Still, you know some, so you aren't competely stupid. Nonetheless..."

the creature catches the wheel once more, and gives a look of joyful malice almost anyone could recognize. It takes off with the wheel, diving back into the deeper water, kicking up another cloud of mud.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"Son of a 8!+€# took my wheel! What'd it say?!"
He turns to the doctor leaning out the window.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"It insulted my skill with a language I had assumed was dead..." He paused "no idea why it took the wheel though"

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"Looked like it was just trying to piss me off. And it worked."
He stomps his foot on the ground.
"How are we supposed to get there now?"
He throws his hand towards the missing wheel.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the creature resurfaces about a hundred feet away, still holding the wheel. It tosses the wheel In the air again before catching it, and continues flying away just above the surface of the water.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"Well, as I see it we have four options option one, we walk, option two... Hmm do you think we'd all fit on the horse(s?)? If so take them if not, we split up those who can fit taking the horses, those who can't walking as fast as they can behind, not exactly fond of option 2b, not sure if 2a would work, option three make a new wheel, doesn't exactly have to be sturdy, just something that will last till we get there, or at least closer option four track down that dragon" he lists off on his fingers

Shadow Lodge

M Human

The doctor looks at the display "yeah, I don't think it likes you for some reason."

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"Can't leave my cart here with that thing. We need to get the wheel back. You can't talk to it, can't you. See what it wants."

They have two horses hitched side by side. One is wider, brown, a mix of Clydesdale and and other judging by the blondish hair around her ankles, a mare named Mable. The other is taller, charcoal gray with a white blaze and black dappled spots, a stallion named Parson. Despite being of opposite gender the horses get along well, however when the female goes into heat, they have to be kept apart. Michael chooses this over gelding the male, keeping the option of foaling Mable open in case of a time he may need the extra money.

male elf (hp=11/11) (sp=27/32) (rsp=6/9)

....well that is ....inconvenient, I vote for finding some material to make a wheel, and If nessesary i can freeze the water.

Drake closes his book with a snap and looks at the other members of the agitated party.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"A wheel made of ice? Wouldn't that melt in like two minutes tops?" He then turns to the hunter "sigh, of course you'd choose the option I added mostly as an after thought, could be dangerous but I suppose it's worth a shot"

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"That... wouldn't work..."
He says in response to making a wheel out of ice.
"We need to see if we can get it back. Maybe you can reason with it. If not, we might be able to take it."
He starts off after it.

male elf (hp=11/11) (sp=27/32) (rsp=6/9)

i meant make a wheel out of some other material and I would freeze the water too travel on if need be. Thought I agree a wheel made of ice would not work.

Drake grumbles irritably.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

"Well do you have any skill with wood carving, either of youz? Because I don't, if you do, get on it, if not, since the owner of the cart doesn't want to leave the cart, we should hurry over to the one that stole the wheel do I can talk go.. Uh it I suppose, not sure the defining charactericts of gender for the race"

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

"Metal, yes. Wood no."
He looks at the dragon, already so far out.
"Cal, do we have anything that we could make another out of in there?"

Male Young elf 2

"Uh... Maybe?"

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

Michael climbs up into the caravan to look around, standing diagonally.
Luckily, most of the cabinets were closed.
"You two watch and make sure it doesn't make any moves."
He checks his metal working cabinet.
Whether we have it or not is up to you.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

you might be able to make a shoddy wheel with what you find in the cabinet, a possibly at a temporary repair.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

would it last till we got there, or at least close?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

you're probably close now. The hill in the center or the deeper water is far less marshy then other places around here.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

Anything is better than here.
Michael tosses a saw out of the back of the caravan.
"I need tree branches, wide as a finger and thumb circle, long as the saw. Eight."
He pulls a metal band and measures it out as long as it'll need to be to go around the wheel.
While one of them looks for appropriate branches, he tries to find something that'll substitute the smaller wheel at the middle of the axel.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

The doctor pulls out a sawbacked dagger and goes to collect the branches asked for.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the nearby trees can easily be cut.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

He nails the limbs into the middle circle and then the band into the other end of the limbs in a circle, welding it with fire generated from a nail he holds, a new and unexpected gift from the Fey: the world's first blowtorch. Nails are in no short supply with all of the building projects at the manor.
The end result is a wheel with wooden spokes and metal inner and outer rims.
He props the caravan up on a log and mounts the wheel.
He wipes his brow with the underside of his forearm as he stands.
"Not great, but I think it'll get us there. Fire trick is handy."
Due to the humid area, the wood is very sturdy and has no chance of catching fire with all the water in it.
He has the others wrap spare chains around the other wheels for traction while he works.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

the setup works alright! and you could Probobly push the thing through to the hill.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

don't we have horses for that?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

as already mentioned, the whole reason you stopped was becuase the water was deep and crossing it would,be hard.

Shadow Lodge

M Human

ooh,
The doctor helps as much as he can with his nine strength.

Male Catfolk-Aasimar Inquisitor 3

He has Cal drive the horses, being the lightest.
They try pushing the thing through the water.
