About Michael Telroth

Role: Michael is something of an aasimar multi-tool, skilled in combat operations, Intel gathering, problem solving, and most of all non-torturous interrogation with a talent for getting into people's heads. Despite being a lion, he embodies the Sleeping Bear, ready to go from affable and kind with allies to dangerous and intimidating to the enemy.

Personal Information, Backstory, Appearance, Secrets, Etc:

Michael Telroth is quite the operator. The son of a catfolk priestess of Uskyeria, and a Leonial Agathion, he's something quite different from both of those, and most other Aasimars, not being half human. While he may not have many of the physical advantages of a catfolk, he's been trained all of his life in the use of his deity's sacred weapon, the scimitar.
Michael stands at a startling 6'2" and 220 pounds, built like the semi-celestial he is. With light auburn fur, and a darker mane of hair, he looks more like a lion than a catfolk, something which inpires unease in those without a clear conscience, and a sense of protection in those who know they're on his good side. He wears mostly dark blue robes and belts, the traditional garb of the Sleeping Bear's priesthood, but layered over with a steel breastplate, emblazoned with a crescent moon around three scratch marks, the mark of his faith and tribe. His trusty enchanted sword is sheathed to his side, and a small crossbow folded on his other hip, both easily retreived, as well as a silver iron bar, his Traveler's Anytool, always ready for any situation. He wears a simple silver wedding band on his left ring finger.
While he never knew his father, being raised in a catfolk temple in Murraseth was almost like having a large collection of parents, due to Catfolk's strong sense of community and the close knit temple life. His natural catfolk curiosity, and his Aasimar disposition led to him finding his skill for reading people and acquiring information. He met his wife Karla during a hunting trip to provide the temple with food, helping her out from being caught in a trap left by foreign poachers, and healing her injuries. They have been together for 6 years at the time the call goes out for warriors in Lastwall. The two never had children, despite their wishes to, believing it to be because of Michael's mixed parentage. Knowing that 5 gold a day would amass very quickly to a sizable sum, enough to be able to find someone with sufficient skill to help them with that problem. Bidding his wife goodbye, and promising he would be back soon, Michael set out for Lastwall with some knowledge he believed may help him, and lacking some that might have prevented him going in the first place.

He has a strong sense of Justice, particularly where animals are involved, as they often cannot fight for themselves. His main goal is to have a peaceful family life, and he's driven by both that desire and his natural instinct to destroy evils. There were likely other ways to earn this money, but being paid to do the work of Good sounded to appealing to pass up. He is loyally protective of his comrades, considering them to be as good as family, and will do anything to protect them and the citizens in danger.

Secrets: Through the chain of information in the Agathion Lord churches, Michael has been told the Orcish armies have been enslaving the wildlife around Lastwall as part of their forces, breaking the Will's of large animals for fearsome mounts.

Michael does not know that during his trip to Lastwall, too late to stop him from going, Karla learned that their efforts had worked, and she is with child, due near early spring.
