The sound of the train's horn pierced through the area. It signaled the beginning of a new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. September 1st 1981 is a turning point for many who now find themselves upon the the Hogwarts train leaving from Platform 9 and 3/4. A new world has opened up to many, while a world in which the sky is the limit is laid before others.
It would take almost the whole day to get to Hogwarts, arriving just before dinner. For those returning to Hogwarts it would seem like any other year, but for the first years this was something new, amazing, and nerve wrecking!
The soft sound of the train gave a calming effect over the cars that had been set aside for the first years. Now that the train was going, it would be the best idea to find a cabin.
