You can create the poison. I've never looked into the DC to make it, I'll search and tell you. From what I've heard, it's not soo cheap to create a potent one.

Talking about poison. Here we have some guidelines about crafting poisons.

In short: The DC is the poison fortitude. You pay 1/3 of the price in Raw Material. The price listed is for 'one' dose of poison.

bat on with that scene without me Agrippa. We need to charm the barman and then get whatever info we can off him. Once charmed he's putty in your hands. Maybe have Johan intimidate him first to debuff his saves.

Crap is intense atm. 2 hrs sleep last night and all day meetings today. And when I say all day? I mean ALL day. I wont get any sack time until past midnight after a 6am start. Just checking in.

Many new possibilities!

We know when Varning patrols - Johan can follow their tracks a day or so behind to identify their route and a likely ambush sight, then we can be ready and waiting for them on their next patrol.

The tavern owner and the fourth captain are brothers. With a charmed Bellam, it should be relatively easy to have him invite his brother over for a family dinner, where we can catch him unprepared (either poison or straight up beats, or just schedule the dinner for the night we plan on launching the attack, so he is away.

The dwarves live at the tavern too. Awesome! The next day when they are working at the fort, we ( ie Eldred) can break into their room and rifle their stuff.

Ooh! We could actually take care of the dwarves and capt Barhold at the same time. Arson! Burn the inn to the ground while the dwarves and the captain are there. If the secret passage does exist, we could seal the exits, set the fire from inside, then escape through the passage to the fort on the night we start our mayham -a big bright fire in town would surely distract the garrison some and allow us to do our thing.

I'm having way too much fun plotting death and destruction :-0

May not need magic to secure the doors. It an inn so the doors to the individual rooms could be jammed shut with iron spikes. I'm assuming its a two story structure...

Would you guys find it helpful if I put up a calendar charting our progress and deadlines for this mission? We've got a lot of moving parts in motion and a tight timeline, so I thought it might be a good way of keeping track of everything.
