Nualia rolls her eyes and doesn't let Eostre finish. She turns to the yeth hound at her side. "Kill them."

Initiative (Evelyn): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Initiative (Nicat): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Initiative (Ekan): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Initiative (Conner): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Initiative (Nualia): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Initiative (Yeth Hound): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

The yeth hound growls and leaps in front of Nualia, chomping at Conner!

The sudden bite is enough to catch Conner unaware. The shock of the bite coming down hard on his arm isn't enough to pull him off his feet, but it's enough to make him feel a sense of dread.

Conner is now Shaken for 1 round.

Round 1: Evelyn, Nicat & Ekan are up!

"Ha! You were lucky to survive this long, with us up against you!" Nicat cries out. "But Desna smiles on us, and luck is on our side!"

As he speaks, he pulls a sling stone from his pocket and loads it into his sling.

Inspire courage (round 7/10) for +1 on attack, damage and saves vs fear, load sling.

Remembering the fear the damned Yeth Hounds can close, Ekan strikes at the one on Conner

to hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Dmg: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Ekan's strike misses the yeth hound, even with Nicat's encouragement.

Evelyn is up!

Eostre SEETHES at Nualia's interruption.

"DIDN'T YOUR DADDY TEACH YOU NOT TO INTERRUPT?!" she bellows.

"Didn't your father teach you to get to the point?" Nualia arches an eyebrow, unimpressed.

"SOD OFF!" Eostre shouts back.

Incidentally, I'm back from my trip to Ireland now, so I'll be able to post much more frequently again! :)

Evelyn feels a sharp pain in her chest when Conner's bit in his arm. Conner's wound immediately heals a bit, while Evelyn feels blood well up inside her mouth.

Like before, Evelyn casts infernal healing on herself. The spell directly heals Evelyn a bit.

Evelyn 26/30HP (Infernal Healing 1/10)

Nualia grabs a medallion in the shape of a seven-pointed star around her neck and growls some sort of guttural prayer.

Temp HP Boost: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

She wrinkles her nose as a red glow suffuses her body. She then raises her fist skyward and calls out "Lamashtu. Your true daughter needs more power!"

A purple glow surrounds her bastard sword and her demonic claw.

Conner & Eostre are up!

"How dare you abuse Thassilon's treasures so shamefully?!" Eostre cries as she conjures a fist of green light and sends it towards Nualia.

Telekinetic Fist Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Telekinetic Fist Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

It sails right over her head, prompting Eostre to curse again.

Conner is up!

Conner shakes his head and tries to focus, but he's not used to fighting demons, he's just a man with a sharp metal stick. But he'd rather die than let Nicat know that, so it's best to get on with it.

Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

The yeth hound nimbly hops aside of Conner's strike, but it's still closer than it'd like to admit.

Round 2

The hound steps out of Conner's reach... and howls.

The howl doesn't seem to affect anyone but Conner. Thanks to its previous bite, Conner's courage finally fails him.

Nicat, Ekan & Evelyn are up!

"You know what's funny, Nualia?" Nicat asks loudly as he gestures in comic fashion with his small hands, "I can't tell who's uglier, you or your dog!" With a glance at his companions, he adds, "Lucky for us, we're gonna kill 'em both, eh?"

Continue Inspire Courage (8/10), cast hideous laughter , DC 13 Will save. 2 first-level spells left today.

At first, nothing seems to happen.

Then, Nualia snickers. "...heh-heh-heh-heh..."

Then starts laughing. "Hahahahahahahahahaha!"

There's no mirth in her eyes. Only madness.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

She falls down. Tears start running down her face.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Ekan & Evelyn are up!

Ekan strikes at the damn hound again, at least this time he isn't running.

Evelyn feels like she receives a stomp in her guts when Conner's remaining wounds are transferred to her. Luckily her infernal healing relieves the pain a bit.

Evelyn stays where she is and goes total defense, seeing little else she can do from her position in the back of the corridor.

Ekan's weapon connects with the yeth hound, but it feels like he's attacking a stone wall--the hound doesn't appear to be hurt by the blow.

Nualia starts gasping for air...

Conner, gripped by supernatural panic, turns and shoves his way back through the group, needing to be anywhere but here.

Eostre? You're up.

Eostre looks at Ekan.

"Looks like I'll be enlarging you, Ekan. You ready?"

Eostre will cast enlarge person on Ekan if he agrees to it.

"Do it," The monk informs her, his teeth gritting.

Eostre frowns, clearly seeing how uncomfortable Ekan is with it, but making the motions to cast the spell regardless. Her eyes and tattoos glow bright green and then the ligh flickers from them to her hand, as she reaches out to Ekan, touching him lightly.

"Crush 'em beneath your giant fists," she says quietly as she completes the spell. Ekan feels a familiar sense of vertigo as his height increases.

Eostre casts enlarge person on Ekan.

The yeth hound snarls at Ekan and leaps at him with its jaws opened wide!

As Ekan steps up to take on the mean, ugly dog, Nicat continues to throw jibes at their opponent, "Hey Nualia, wondering if our big monk can take our your ugly mutt? I'll tell you, yeth Ekan!" He's a bit disappointed that she doesn't find his joke so funny this time, and slings a stone at her head!

Oh, rats, I thought she got up. Can I target the bad dog instead? I wouldn't have shot at her if I had realized. I know it won't hurt it much, but at least it'll be something.

Ekan's wound almost completely heals while Evelyn coughs. She quickly swallows the blood that wells up in her mouth so the others don't see it.

Evelyn's infernal healing continues to slowly heal her. She decides to also use a cure light wounds spell on herself, because she's starting to feel dizzy.

Ekan's punches land with his new size, but even with his enlarged frame it feels like he's punching a stone wall.

Nualia gets to her feet and picks up her sword, glaring balefully at Nicat.

Conner makes a beeline for the stairs up, the only thought in his mind of putting as much distance, and solid stone, between him and the demon-dog as possible.

Eostre launches another telekinetic fist at Nualia.

Telekinetic Fist Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Nualia barely flinches as Eostre's telekinetic punch connects with her face. The medallion around her neck flares a sharp gold in colour and dims.

The yeth hound bites at Ekan again...

...and bites its own tongue by accident. It yelps in surprise.

Round 4: Ekan, Nicat & Evelyn are up!

”This is a silly way to fight them,” Nicat tells his friends, ”everyone should back up and make them come to us!” He spins his sling above his head again and fires at Nualia, then backs out into the larger room.

Standard action to attack, move action to move. No Inspire Courage this round.

Eostre follows Nicat's instructions and moves towards the back. That's where she worked best anyway.

Ekan's swing is easily sidestepped by Nualia.

Nualia then steps forward and starts swinging her sword at the enlarged monk, her eyes blazing with an unholy fury.

Swing: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

She follows up by swiping with her demonic claw.

Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

While her sword finds its mark, her claw misses entirely.

He only took a standard action by attacking, he still gets a move action, right?

Nicat: Ah. Thought he took a full-round action for some reason. In that case, yes. Ekan may move.

Conner groans in frustration, he had been going to make lots of jokes at Nicat's expense for running and now it's all ruined. Turning around, he runs back to the group.
