Acorn - I will check with taig to see if he is still around to run Anuqa. For now, hold off and I can run him until I know for sure. Thank you again for your help!
The dotted line marks a raised dais upon which the altar stands.
Moving into the room, you can see that there are two doors - one in each of the far corners. There are no other doors apart from the one through which you entered.

Andrzej nods to the idea of retreat and casts a spell upon himself to protect his body from the creature's touch much more. Then he steps up to join the fight next to Res.
casts shield, AC23/fft19/tch18 (if shield works as a magical force (not sure)) now.
"Res, it will struggle to hit me now, withdraw and I shall keep you from harm for now."

Tybalt Scorzia |

Whispering sotto voce, Tybalt hisses; "Surely luring them to a narrow frontage means we cannot use our numbers, whilst they can use their area spells." He frets slightly thinking of a lightning bolt in the confines of the corridor.
However he's used to the uncertainty and he doesn't let it affect his spirit too severely as he jibes at the creatures. "You'd best leave us alone, or else you won't be all wight."

"We're giving up our advantage in numbers and archery. But it might be that these are the guys that're boned, certainly they're looking a bit rusty." Tybalts a bit apprehensive about the plan, but used to taking orders. Thus he backs up towards the narrow passage and readies himself for any reinforcements.

"This accursed place bolsters their unholy spirits," Leandro agrees, moving towards the door, "Let us move to friendlier terrain in hopes they follow."
Withdraw action to K4, glaive has reach to threaten J4-L5 rectangle with AoO if any wights move this way or try to attack him.

Angalia retreats up the corridor, as does Anuqa, but not without unleashing magic missiles at the wights.

Tybalt Scorzia |

Tybalt pokes his head back into the room, "Are you alright? Leandro, Eliva, Andrzej?" His voice is filled with concern as he looks around the room, with a degree of trepidation. "Maybe we should rest up for a minute, before we move further on. For certainly this is a necropolis of some danger, if such powerful beings could be summoned from the grave."
He then moves a bit forwards to examine both the right & left passages to see which has been more recently used.

"I'm... well enough," Leandro responds, "Don't get too far ahead, Sir Tybalt. This accursed place is obviously dangerous." With a withering look at the putrid corpses of the wights, he moves to accompany Tybalt forward, unwilling to allow anyone to wander off alone.

Res Thannq |

Concerned about the unnatural effects that wight's attack may have had on Leandro, Res asks, "Sir Leandro, are you sure you can continue. While I cannot remove the full effects the wight may have had on you, I do have a scroll that may help your vigor"
After Leandro answers, Res examines the chapel. perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Andrzej foes with Res, making sure he is not alone in the unholy place. He pays particular attention to the altar, trying to understand more of the necromancer's home and its occupants.

Discerning footprints in this chamber is difficult, as the wandering of the wights (not to mention your own recent scuffle) have left little dust on the worn stone floor, apart from the corners and under some of the ruined pews. Tybalt, however, has particularly keen eyes and detects that the eastern door is used far more frequently than the western one, but both are used occasionally. Both doors appear to be locked.

Andrzej Plamen |

"I do not recognise one god or any of their symbols. More than that I surmise it is likely to be made by the Land to attract those steeped in death and undeath. Looks like the necromancer was born to live in this forsaken place." Andrzej rubs down the toecaps of his black boots with his fingers, removing some of the chapel dirt and dust.

Leandro |

"Mayhap we should save your healing magic against worse harm in the future, Sir Res," Leandro replies uneasily, "And what is it you mean by 'made by the Land', good swordsman?"

Tybalt Scorzia |

Tybalt shivers at Andrezj's proclamation, for the Vistani had always been a strange and superstitious folk - more in touch with the land and yet disparate seers. "Now then, that sounds ominous.... much like these foot prints to the eastern door."
He moves over and gets his lock picks out to try and open it.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Andrzej Plamen |

Andrzej waits for someone to lead the way in this godforsaken place. "I do not think many have traveled this way but there ahead is a light to lead us on."
Then he starts down the corridor placing a magical torchlight on his scimitar and then walks on anxious to leave the chapel and its dark air.

Tybalt Scorzia |

That sounds about right, although Tybalt may try an slip back in the order if combat commences.
Walking down the corridor softly, he pauses to complete a small litany calling upon the spirits of his far away forest home to protect him against the evil denizens of the crypt.

Sorry for the delay. It always takes more time than I think it will to be ready for a new combat.
You make your way around the bend in the corridor and see before you a well-lit chamber. It seems to function as both a living chamber and a study for its occupant. An old, rumpled bed sits in the corner. Strangely, an old coffin lies beside it. On another wall, an ancient stone desk is littered with yellowed bits of parchment and a number of crumbling old scrolls. A brazier illuminates the room warmly, but several small candles also occupy the desk to facilitate reading.
Clad in old robes the color of charcoal, a balding, middle-aged man busies himself frantically, apparently finishing the casting of a spell. He glares at you all with fiery, almost neurotic intensity. "I knew you would come," he rasps, "but you are all too late. And never have I been better prepared to dispatch of such easy prey."
Beside him, two rotting corpses stand awkwardly and gaze mindlessly in your general direction.
Roll initiative, please.
