Amateur Monk Feat

Gunslinger Discussion: Round 1

I dislike the idea of a feat that grants access to a class feature of a class. Really would we want a feat that granted someone a Ki pool and a few ki abilities?

Would we want an Amateur Barbarian Rager feat?

An Amateur Performer Bardic Music feat?

Amateur Magus Arcana Feat?

I'm just saying : )

It does seem to track. They might actually be thinking about that. Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic (or whatnot) after all. It wouldn't surprise me, and it goes more along with the 'carrot' that Paizo offers when you stick in one class. Rather than dip into a class, you just get a feat.

Of course, Fighter's would be dumb at 1st Level. Human Fighter with Amateur Cleric (1st Level Spells?), Amateur Barbarian (Rage?), and Amateur Rogue (Sneak Attack?)

Improved Unarmed Strike, Beliers Bite, and Scorpion Strike = Amateur Monk.

Punch = reduction in move and 1d4 bleed. does not get any better than that
none of these can not be taken by a level 1 fighter.
