My vote is Spike Growth personally. That'd free up first level spells for heavier use in combat without having to save one for an escape, and damn spike growth is a serious 'you shall not pass'. Every 5 feet of difficult terrain they take 2d4. Ouch. If you crossed all 20 feet of it, that'd be 40d4 (40-160 damage, with a median of 100 damage).

Your math is off, Adrien. every 5ft is 2d4, and its 20ft radius, so 40ft total. but that's only(!) 16d6, so 16-96 with an average of 56. Still a very nice escape/cut off spell, especially in urban areas where you can make sure they have to pass through that area to get to you without flight or some such shenanigans

Hmm. IMO drop one of these:
-Word of Healing: Somewhat redundant to have two different styles of healing. Absolutely useful, yes, but...
-Cure Wounds: See above.
-Lesser Restoration: Would suck to need it and not have it, but...

With any choice, it's weighing it against Heat Metal, which is a badass spell, and really the only offensive spell Triss has.

weapon or a suit of heavy or medium metal armor, that

I would keep restoration as a necessary recovery spell, just because you really don't want to get stat damaged and not have it. I agree that having 2 cure spells is a redundancy that can be useful but is unnecessary if you need more slots.

also, i was wrong about it being a cover in the movie, it just seemed more techno-y with the psychedelic credits sequence.

I feel like the PoV of the singer is friendly towards the heathens, and is saying "dont mess with them". In our case, that feels like its from the 'narrator's point of view, imo.

Don't ditch Silence. That spell really was responsible for obtaining Dolson.

We've already seen Healing word help Ozz out a whole bunch (he's be unconscious dead without it) because of the range, but it doesn't heal as much as cure wounds.

I guess cure wounds?

I am definitely interested. the times that I have had infrequent posting have been times where business and/or fatigue have won out on checking and posting (though don't count on me for more than once a day, just time-wise)

I think the frequency of posts is at least somewhat due to Grey's job being super busy this time of year (and iirc, either you are Tris work with him, so that goes you you/her as well), so hopefully it will pick up as we get into less busy times. I really want to see whats in store ofr us with Brundon, and to find out who the traitor is (or if there was one), etc. I love the worlds Grey creates and am always happy to explore them, so I don't see myself losing interest anytime soon

I'm going to try to keep moving. I feel like this has just been an overly detailed bit of story to return INTO, and it hasn't been a smooth acceleration because of all those tedious details.

Hopefully in the next few back and forths, things will have better traction.

I've been trying to think of a way to get Trissae on the same page with Adrien and Grellik regarding Core Knowledge. Grellik first earned his about the inner planes, then Adrien picked his up about the Red Wizards of Thay. An opportunity has yet to present itself for Trissae.

Can DROW related items be a suitable Core Knowledge? It's kind of on the nose. I feel like making her obvious knowledge about Drow society/religion/history/etc formalized in a Core Knowledge perk is both appropriate and boring.

Thoughts?
