About Trissae DarkwhisperTotal HP 61
Background:
-------------------- Personality Traits: Not impervious to the tenancies of her people Trissae feels the burn of superiority. To combat this she works ceaselessly to perfect her arts both to remind her that she can always improve, and also to live up to the goals she has set for herself. Ideals: Trissae strives to prove herself and her pure intentions through her art, to lighten hearts with her performances, and through that prove to others of value of her character. Bonds: Trissae Idolizes Drizzt Do'Urden of legend and seeks to follow his footsteps. To prove that the darkness in the Drow is not inherent and to break that stigma. She is always measuring her accomplishments against his. Flaws: Her mother a secret follower of Eilistraee, outwardly follows Lolth. Her family is part of a respected house and her mother teaches Triss about Eilistraee, Drizzt, and this alternative life style but also warns her that her kind do not share these ideals. Triss being the rebellious youth she was starts to preach this alternative life style in hopes that her fellow drow will prefer the more virtuous lifestyle. She is naive just to the severity of the things her mother was teaching her, which are tantamount to heresy to her people. Thus her mother is forced to cast Triss out, secreting her away to the surface, to save face with her own people for her house's sake. Trissae is branded a heretic and never allowed to return home. It is her naive optimism that is her greatest flaw.
Background extended:
Trissae hails from House Barrison Del'Armgo, a martially minded house in high standing in Drow society. During her youth she spent much time training with her Older siblings: brother Veszree and sister Jysoyss at the ruins of the Do'Urden compound (House Barrison and House Melarn both used these ruins often for training). Here she learned how to fire the hand crossbow, her favored weapon, among other traditional Drow weapons. Some years later Triss would return to Do'Urden when Mother Matron Quenthel Baenre decreed the reconstruction of House Do'Urden. Trissae, like many from her house would constitute the new House Do'Urden. It was here that Trissae would learn of Drizzt and the fate of the previous house Do'Urden from her mother. The new House Do'Urden, having the make-up from many different houses, had a diverse set of talents and lacked the specialty of the traditional houses. Trissae had a hard time fitting in here as she had little interest in the priestesshood and lacked the standard martial prowess of a traditional member of house Barrison. It was her mother who realized that Trissae had a special talent for song and dance, and began Triss's training in the way of the Bae'queshel. However it quickly became apparent to her mother that Trissae hadn't the hardness of heart that other drow had, a weakness that she herself shared. So it was in secret that her mother confided to her daughter the sick truth about the world she knew, that there were good drow, a deity that watched over them, and a hero who escaped the bonds of the drow lifestyle. A mistake that would forever separate Trissae from the drow, Lolth, and her mother. However Lolth turns no blind eye to her wayward subjects, and even now it is likely that she schemes to destroy Trissae, just as she has destroyed so many wayward children before.
Physical Appearance:
Trissae is cut a lithe figure with an athletic core and legs. Her waist long hair is a sterling alabaster white with hints of hues from past performances. Her charcoal skin has lightened slightly since her coming to the surface, but only those who knew her from before would notice the difference. Her eyes too have dimmed from a once burning red to a much subdued rose color and almost pink in the day light.
