As Dyrant pulls the boy to safety, Glimmil nods at the priest and rushes again to battle against the nearest elemental.

And a final barrage of hits ends the other elemental.
Dryant's wall of ice holds back the fire on one side and after a couple minutes the townspeople return with their buckets to put out the fire.
Minuta's board and the two adjoining buildings collapse into a pile of ashes before the night is done, but the rest of Cauldron goes unscathed.

Atol will do his best to help the fire brigade by casting Create Water (14 gallons at a time) at hard to reach hot spots (up to 40' away) every round he can. While the protection from fire lasts, he'll do it from inside as he double checks for any other survivors.
After the fire, he'll tend to any injuries and minor burns with his Cuthbertine Healing Touch (d8+1 per person).
He lingers after the fire is under control to make absolutely sure everything is OK before resting at last on a nearby box. He looks down at his brand new robe.
I'm going to need to get this cleaned.

Dyrant, too, will aid in the putting out of the fire and healing those who take burns in defense of the town.
While doing so, he will try to cull information about the building itself and the child who's family might (or might not) have been inside.

Jenya brings out the Star of Justice and begins the divination. She speaks with Sarcem's voice again:
"The priest who is not a priest asks two questions at a time for which there is not a single answer so it is only appropriate that he receive an answer that is not an answer. Evil summoned the creatures. Evil and greed and an unholy thirst for power so powerful it has even corrupted a paladin."

LOL. I guess the question about Alek got answered after all. My plan of asking random stuff worked! Mwhahahahaha...
Dyrant nods vigorously as Jenya repeats the answer given.
"Tremendously helpful, Jenya...though that is disturbing news about Alek, however. So...Alek has been corrupted? Hmm...that would mean that his challenge against the Captain is unjust? Or was he corrupted in reaction to the challenge because he was a threat? There are more questions now than before. But I suppose it does push us toward a path...we need to find and speak with Alek."
Dyrant rubs his chin.
"We must discuss ways to free Alek from his corruptive influence and bring him back to the light. Jenya, have you any input on this? Can you offer any aid?"
Dyrant gives the room a stink face.
"But wait...does he still possess his gifts from St. Cuthbert? If so, is the High Cudgel condoning his actions still? And, if so, should we not also follow him? I'm sure if Alek were truly corrupted, St. Cuthbert would make it known, right?"
There is much implications on practical theology here. Interesting.
