My roommate is willing to sell me his 91 ford escort gt for 400-500 but it needs the rear suspension done approx. 600 so if I go that route new car 1100, if I keep mine figure about same price not including a brake job it needs, I have some family help looking for a decent read cheap replacement. pros of the escort nice sound system aftermarket cd player with hd radio and iPod hookup, manual transmission, moonroof, and very little rust, pros of my car: sound system, new tires

Hi folks. Sounds like everyone is having a good Monday, if there ever was one. Mine has been alright, phone bill, groceries, health appts for teh kids set up, and now I am here. I am think I would like a nap but Moorlucks work called and screwed that up by putting him in a bad mood. so now we are all up. Ugh, I hate when they bother us when he is off. Is it so hard to figure out that if he is off and you can't gethim then to schedule it for day after next, this way he sees it in teh morning?
*sigh*
Poor guy was sleeping too. :\

Man, that sucks! I have had that happen way too often over the years.

Okay math geniuses, help me solve this problem. (((13x3)-3)/3)=
I think I told my neighbor the right way to do it, but for my own sanity, I need to double check and my math wizard wife isn't home.

Math is boring. I was always good at it, but I just stopped caring. It finally caught up with me in Differential Equations. I never went to class, and should have failed, but apparently everyone else did just as poorly because my 52% was curved up to a C. I decided that needed to be the end of it, though.

Math, BY ITSELF, can sometimes be boring. OTOH, combine it with Physics, Electronics, Chemistry, or Biology, and then Math not only becomes interesting, it often becomes very necisary to understand what is going on.

You forgot to mention.... oh, wait you did say chemistry. Well it does help to know what mix ratios of a particular pesticide will do the job, and how much is harmful to the enviroment and non-target organisms.

man Monday is looking good after my weekend. my weekend consisted of looking at my engine. I had oil on my spark plugs which means the head gasket has had it, the ceramic on one of the plugs cracked and broke away, and on top of that there is a crack on the head. man Monday is looking good.
Sorry to hear about that.

Gah! That was surreal. I guess I was more tired than I thought. After I picked up the kid from school, I lay down for a quick power nap...and woke up two hours later. Right at dinnertime. So I had to move quickly. I turned on the oven, went downstairs and folded some laundry so I could put the kid's clothes away, and then once that was done quickly whipped up some tostadas. Luckily they only take 15 minutes to cook. And now dinner. Only a half hour late. :/

Well, it sounds like your dinner was a little more involved than ours. :) It just really threw me off. I feel guilty that I was sleeping when I was supposed to be helping the kid with his hoework. :( Guess we'll have to do extra tomorrow.

I would have loved to have had something like Tostados to make, unfortunately I am down to cooking "real" dinners. Which sucks as we all enjoy the fun food every once in a while.

lynora wrote:Quickly whipped up some tostadas.Awww... I love Tostadas. We only ever have Tacos though (which I also love) unless we go to the Mexican Restraunt (which we haven't done for years now). :(
Oh, tostadas are super easy. Just take about four flour tortillas (I use whole wheat cause it's healthier) put them on a cookie sheet and spray them with olive oil cooking spray. Toast them at 400 degrees for 10 min. While they're cooking simmer some garlic (to taste), a can of black beans drained and rinsed, and about a half of a jar of salsa in a saucepan. When the tortillas are done, flip them over spoon some of the black bean mixture on each on, sprinkle some cheese over top and put it back in the oven for a minute or two, however long it takes to melt the cheese. Then, voila, fresh tostadas. :)

I cook 'real' dinners pretty rarely. I pretty much always want the fun stuff. :)
Luckily, my husband is happy with that. Just a little overly picky when it doesn't quite make it up to four star restaurant standards. :/ But he's making efforts to be less critical of my cooking, and I'm starting to get back into it again.
