Phillic glances back as the guides hit the cave. Panting hard, he stares up at the flying woman and cat with a lopsided grin. "Know it? Mistress all's I know is the 'Wound wants ta kill us all, ye ken? When the ground starts quiverin' and dead things walk, ol' Phillic knows it's time ta run! You do notice an odd shimmer around Phillic and the other two guides, all of whom look slightly injured, but not as if they took the full blast.
As for the geyser, you don't see any more immediately, but the one that exploded explodes again three times, then is silent.

Adaxis' search of the cave reveals several carcasses, including a few humanoids. In addition, he discovers two intact mithral chain shirts, two mithral heavy shields, two well-made longswords, four potions marked with healing sigils and a small leather sack containing eight polished amethysts. The armor, shields, swords and potions all detect as magical.

"All clear in the wolf den. Found a bit a treasure too and no other tunnels. We can make camp here and head out in the morning. It smells like carriage kill, but at least it is safe from that bloody geyser. I didn't see any man servants, so Princess Isis will have to rough it for another night. These are normal channels affecting all. I had to drop the life links because I had less then 30 hp left, and everyone was hurt. 6*5=30, which would have dropped me. This way, I can get everyone back up close to normal, reestablish the life links, absorb damage, and dissipate it with cures.

After giving the geyser plenty of time to spend itself, Phillic and the two other silent guides move out again. About a half hour later, they signal quiet and begin to move slower, keeping an eye on the tracks. Fifteen minutes later, he stops the band and has you hold tight while he creeps closer. He returns shaking his head. "Ya'll need ta see this."
On a flat table of stone sits a strange cylindrical structure, seemingly molded from the surrounding rock. Blotches of black and green ichor dot the ground, evidence of a battle with foul creatures.

Adaxis scrutinizes the tracks and blood spatters, determining that a large group of people had come along, creating the same trail you followed. Then half of the group seems to have attacked the other half and the melee generally headed east. You're pretty sure the stone cylinder is NOT a natural formation.
Isis and Mousebane fly around, keeping an eye out and both spot a small melee just about a quarter mile away. Several monstrous looking things are fighting a small contingent of what looks like mountain tribesmen.
Tyrion smells demon-scent, the acrid smell burning his nose. He also smells man-flesh and something in-between man and demon, perhaps a hybrid or some sort of amalgam?

The trail ahead bends to the right as it climbs toward the base of a high peak. Curses and threats shouted in dwarven, Abyssal, and Hallit echo down the slope—the sounds of a fight about to begin.
The combatants consist of three stitched-together looking creatures with bows that combine a marilith’s multi-armed, serpentine aspects with the wings of another demon. They are hovering around a dwarf you recognize as Thurl, who is accompanied by a creature that is an amalgamation of various creatures, similar in appearance to a shemhazian demon. A goat-headed demon with vast bat wings stands in front, while the corpses of several babau lie at the feet of the tattooed barbarians, who look outmatched, but stalwart.
