Adaxis, 40402-2, 10th level Eagle Shaman (druid) & 1st level Trapper (ranger)

Excellent trapfinder and natural attack tank. He can summon giant eagles as standard action and can wildshape into a huge roc with young template (Paizo FAQ) and fly them almost anywhere with a proper platform. Like most divine casters, he isn't optimized without time to self buff. I haven't played him in quite some time, so I'm really looking forward to seeing him through to retirement!

Noncore Oddities:
Noncore feats:
Shapeshifting Hunter (full ranger favored enemies)
Boon Companion (+4 Druid levels to animal companion)
Aspect of the Beast (2 primary claw attacks)
Eldritch Claws (natural weapons are silver/magic)
Desparate Battler (+1 morale to hit and damage when allies are more than 10' away)

Noncore magical gear:
Helm of the Mammoth Lord (gore primary attack)
Swarmbane scarab (full damage to swarms)
Golembane scarab (ignores their DR)
Elemental strife (ignores their DR, 5 resist energy)
Crack Pale Green Ioun Stone (+1 competence to attack)
Trapspringer's Gloves (+5 disable, +1 luck bonus on saves vs traps)
Diamond of Demon Seeking will glow red (like the light spell) when creatures of the demon subtype are within 30'. It was from Storming the Diamond Gate scenario. Nondetection spells prevent the diamond from working properly. It has no other abilities.

Noncore racial trait:
Giant Hunter (+1 to attack giant subtypes)
Stubborn (+2 vs enchantments & reroll failed enchantments 1 round later)

Noncore special abilities:
Eagle companion has bodyguard archtype and never surprised and can act with negative HP (Animal Archive)
Feather Subdomain: +5 Perception; +2 initiative during surprise round
Eagle totem transformation (primary bite & 2 talons attacks)
Trapfinding (ranger archetype)

Boons:
+1 to attack giant subtypes
Folio reroll

Isis strolls into the discussion area, looking around.

"How quaint. This...this is where you expect us to talk? It's so...barren," Isis says disapprovingly. "Let me see what I can do to liven this place up."

Isis stares into the aether, sending her will to bend the void to her bidding. A wave of hot, fine white sand erupts at her feet, showing her walkspace with the sands of home. A small oasis gurgles to existence, a lone palm offering shade.

Within the shade a stately Osirion throne appears, with a tiny cat pad on its right side.

Isis goes to sit herself upon her throne, placing Bast in her bed.

"This is more like it. Now, what did you wish to discuss?"

Already bored, Bast goes to hunt for tuna in the oasis...which there is, because the cat willed it, of course, and because magic.

* * *

Isis is level 10 (11226-3) and loosely supports whatever the Osirion faction has become. She has no intention of doing any extra work and thus has no day job roll.

p.s. Isis is an RP focused character and PbP provides an excellent opportunity for us to RP to our heart's content. I don't give a flea about your builds...I just want to see us RP this piddlespotting mod to death. I know James can handle it.

I have a bunch of boons I guess but I never used them, so I doubt I will now (so many to keep track). I got the magic items in his bio page. He got some favored bonuses in his judgements increasing their power. He also has a +5 against spells and spell like abilities due to a feat, a trait and his normal dwarven resilience against magic.

I'm going to stick to summoning one giant eagle going forward instead of multiple. My text box gets too full already with Adaxis and Mousebane's natural attacks.

I forget that Adaxis can speak with eagles while in his totem transformation, so next time I'll call them off helpless foes.

Bonekeep Slides

I feel your pain. These multiple combatant battles make it easier to cut and paste the attacks in a text document so I can keep them around without needed to retype each time.

Vita has not been taking into consideration Adaxis' DR 5/piercing. That is why we have conflicting damage reports. It is a bit confusing since 5 is also the number for Life Link. Therefore, Adaxis damage is at 8 with Life Link when Vita absorbs 5. (18 - 5 DR - 5 LL = 8). Life Link is an awesome ability!

Tyrion, regarding rakes and pounce, I found this useful so marked it as a favorite:

James Jacobs wrote:

Yeah; you're overanalyzing the thing.

Pounce lets you make a full attack when you charge. This full attack includes rake attacks, if the creature has rake attacks.

Rake, on the other hand, is a type of natural attack that normally a creature can't use during a full attack or standard attack; something has to happen to allow a rake to take place. Normally, this means when the creature is grappling a foe, but when something has pounce AND rake, pounce lets you rake as well, even if you aren't grappling a foe.

Rake is indeed meant to represent the hind legs, generally. So in order to use a rake, a creature has to basically be all over its target... as in the case when it grapples, or when it pounces onto something.
