The Elusive Trout |
I'm checking interest in a pBp set in the desolate plane of Abaddon, as per the Third Book of The Damned in the Pathfinder library.
It would require heroic characters, as the plot is based around a rescue mission.
-Characters should start out at level 5, and I'd want to have a party of at least four, and at most seven.
-This will utilize the 20 point buy system, and there are no limits on dumped stats, but please limit your max in any stat to 20.
-All Pathfinder player races are a-okay.
Petrova |
Petrova's backstory can be found in the profile, though I'm guessing it will need considerable reworking to fit this campaign. Her basic gist is that she's a tavern dancer by night and a vigilante crime fighter by much later night. I'll take out the extra feat the GM was allowing at creation and add some traits, if those are okay.

This is Red's intended character. I don't have a back story as of yet, but I'm thinking of being your typical hired gun(so to speak), monster specialist. He revels in battle as it gives him a chance to out think and out maneuver his enemy. Though he can(and will) out muscle the enemy if needed. Just click the profile for stats, this is of course without any gear whatsoever. The 2 traits I am considering are Deft Dodger and Indomitable Faith, mainly to shore up his weaknesses, but also to show how adaptive he's become to fighting various monsters.

Makes sense. Solid character, too.

There still room in this?
I haven't done PBP in a while and I'd be very interested in participating, though I'd have to think seriously about what I'd be creating.
Maybe an Oracle? Probably not of Life if the Paladin's going the healer route. I've been wanting to try out an Oracle and the group seems a bit light on spellcasters...

You'd be the last one in this go around.
With you, unless I've miscounted in my half-awake state, I have seven.stardust |

-----FEATS AND SPECIAL ABILITIES-----
Combat Expertise (Feat) Hanethes can take -1 penalty on melee attacks and combat maneuvers to gain a +1 dodge bonus to Armor Class.
Evasion (Ex) If Hanethes makes a successful Reflex save for an attack that would half damage on a successful save, Hanethes instead receives no damage.
Firearm Training (Ex) Hanethes has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearms).
Improved Feint (Feat) Hanethes can make a bluff check to feint as a move action.
Sneak Attack (Ex) Hanethes deals 3d6 precision damage when his target is denied a Dexterity bonus to AC. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
Sociable (Feat) As a move action, Hanethes grants all friendly creatures within 30 feet who can see or hear him (including himself) a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks for a number of rounds equal to his Charisma modifier.
Trapfinding (Ex) Hanethes adds 5/2 her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks. He can also use disable device skill to disarm magical traps.
Trap Sense (Ex) Hanethes has a +1 reflex bonus to saves against traps, and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps.
Uncanny Dodge (Ex) Hanethes cannot be caught flat-footed and retains his Dex bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible.
Weapon Finesse (Feat) With a light weapon or finesse weapon, Hanethes applies his Dexterity modifier instead of Strength modifier for attacks. If he carries a shield, its armor penalty aplies attack rolls.
I still have to do purchases and traits. And a background for handsome Hanethes.
EDIT: Traits: As a worshipper of Cayden Cailean, Hanethes is Good Natured, and he is also a Fencer.
Do we start with normal coin for a 5th level character for purchasing equipment? If so, can we purchase magical equipment, or just mundane and masterwork.

Oracle wasn't really speaking to me, so I went Inquisitor. He should be more-or less done stat-wise. This is him.
Story-wise, he's masked because his face (and much of his torso) are a mass of rather horrifying burn scars (hence his low Charisma). While a young acolyte at a church of Sarenrae he was captured by a cult of Rovagug who found torturing him with fire ironic and amusing. He managed to escape into the desert, and then back to civilization...and then proceeded to hunt down the entire cult in question (beginning his Inquisitorial career).
Personality-wise, he's a really nice, easy-going guy with a soft spot in his heart for rescuing captives (for obvious reasons). He'll often strive to take enemies alive...but has no compunctions about slaying prisoners who refuse to repent, or who are beyond redemption.
It's also worth noting that, that one event aside, he's led a good life and is really pretty fun-loving and upbeat, and has a perhaps surprising success with women considering his looks.
More info forthcoming (and in a more straightforward format) as I write it. I've got a good grasp on the character's history in my head, I just need to get it down in writing.

I totally understand if he doesn't make the cut due to what your preferences and needs are for the party. :)

This character fits the mood and storyline perfectly.

Actually, your character is fine; you just might want to tweak his backstory for a non CC campaign.

Excellent. I've had him in my head for a while, and I thought his backstory would make him a natural for a rescue mission. :)
Here are my HP 4d8 + 15 ⇒ (1, 8, 7, 4) + 15 = 35, and magic items will be in the profile shortly.
So, I've got this whole 'editor' tendency, and I note a few things about the other characters. If my commentary is unwelcome, I apologize in advance:
Talon: Hasn't added his ability score bonus for 4th level.
Kanthuun: Looking at your stats, assuming your 4th level ability point and human bonus went into Charisma, you have one more point-buy point to distribute in Abilities.
Rogar Stonecrusher: Not actually a problem, but I'd probably go Str 16 Chr 14 if I were you. Charisma is important for Paladins, sure, but not quite that important, and you can make up the difference with a Headband of Charisma. Oh, and you haven't added your Charisma modifier to all your saves, as you have every right to do.
