Panicking as the creature starts to take her into the Heart of Darkness, Rita tries to remember what she learned as the member of the Stab-a-ho tribe.

Dogslicer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Poog runs in after the owlbear, anxious to finish off his kill, angry that the stubborn thing just won't die. He pulls out his regular dogslicer as he runs in and hacks at the beast.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 15 for Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Following the others into the building while trying to save the endangered Rita, Reta howls in anger at the top of her shrill lungs. As she wobbles and waddles closer to the dangerous creature, Reta drops her bow and draws her dogslicer. Upon reaching the creature, she swings with all her might.

Chuffy, the pen IS under the house. The trap door is on the ceiling of the pen.

Rita, in a panic, stabs at the beast carrying her. She strikes true, and the creature falls to the ground, dying.

She sees a half-dozen large eggs lying in a nest.

The little goblin stabs down at the creature, multiple times. "You ass-licking b~$&~-bird! You hurt Rita, now you dead!"

Once she ends her tirade, she pulls out her feel-good potion, tossing it back.

Cure Mod Potion: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 8) + 3 = 15

"Poog gets his eggs! Poog be greatest birdcruncher chief ever when poog have great bird-bear pet!"

The look in the little cleric's eyes is wild and crazed. He can barely contain himself as he carefully picks up a couple of the eggs, walking them out of the building, safe from the coming inferno.

"Poog has his eggs. Youse can eat eggs if you want. Then we burn Pa's house down!!!!"

Poog dances in circles at the prospect of the blaze. "Chuffy! Start fire with Chief's sword of power!!!"

As the pimply goblin brushes the straw and building walls with the flaming sword, Poog also releases a bolt of fire to help encourage the blaze.

"Lets go burn stuff upstairs too!!!" After the straw has caught fire, Poog and company move up to make sure the bedding and living room have caught fire as well. With that done, the party sets up, waiting for pa munchmeat to come out of his shell.

CLW Wand, Chuffy: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Poog will also cast divine favor on himself just before Pa Munchmeat comes out of the shell, in prep for the (hopefully) final battle.

@GM Silbeg: Oh, oops! Is there room around it to attack? If so, please just change Chuffy's action to an attack, with flank. If you'll let me keep my original rolls, they were:

If there isn't room to fight...

Chuffy obeys Chief Poog, ignoring the owlbear who clawed him (that he so desperately wants to kill) and starts hacking at the straw, giggling like a school girl as the flames sprout out of his dogslicer and set fire to the piles of flammable bedding.

The terror of moments before already forgotten, Rita picks up an owlbear egg and bites into the shell greedily, making a hole. She then noisily slurps up the yolk and possible embryo, smacking her lips. Her eyes dance as she watches Chuffy start the fire, giggling as she exits the building, getting ready for their showdown with Pa Munchmeat.

Still gonna kill Chuffy

Mogmurch watches the fire take hold of the dry, moldy straw.

Burning so pretty. BOOOMS so good. Burn and BOOOMS.

He takes out a bomb, ready for Pa to emerge from his protective barrier.

Somehow totally missed the "it's dead" post. D'oh. Too much rush to get all the posts in this morning. Chuffy does as per "no room to fight" and lights the straw with his blade.

As the flames dance higher, Chuffy grows drunk with fiery power, "I AM ZARONGEL!" he squeals heretically, and proceeds to smash anything that looks vaguely flammable with his new favorite toy - the flaming dogslicer.

Several minutes pass, as the goblins set fire to the house. The ogre's rage first calms, and the goblins see a tear or two forming in his eye. This calm soon turns to rage once more, as the goblins continue to vandalize the ogre's home. Whether or not the ogre's daughter and animal companion have survived is unknown at this time.

The five goblins take up positions around the ogre, waiting for the force bubble to collapse, and the ogre waits for the same.

Please place yourselves around Pa Munchmeat. Since the house is on fire, I will rule that the Resilient Sphere has fallen to the ground, but that the area that once was house is impassable rubble... it is in various states of collapse. This state has already been discovered by Chuffy, who climbed into the area, only to have it collapse underneath him (causing another charge or two of curing to be used). Pa Munchmeat's squares will be difficult terrain, as the Sphere has pushed most material away. Fair enough?

Please place yourselves where you want to be prior to the sphere collapsing. I will continue as soon as everyone has done so, or by 11:00CDT on Monday, March 30

Ready - 20' from Pa

Poog stands across the muddy river, sneering at the giant ogre. In one hand he holds his wand of fireball, with its single charge remaining. In the other he holds the wand of sound burst. In his simple goblin brain he keeps going over how big the party is going to be when they bring Pa Munchmeat's head back to the birdcruncher tribe.

Whether or not the ogre's daughter and animal companion have survived is unknown at this time.

Once the house is ablaze, Chuffy ensures that the answer to the question 'did they survive?' is 'no', "One stab for you, and one stab for you. One stab for you and... be patient... one stab for you!" Even stabbing ogre and ferret corpses is such fun when they burst into flames with every stab!

As the goblins arrange themselves around Pa Munchmeat, Chuffy grows confused, "We burned Pa's house... why we wait for Pa to get out and attack? Let's go hide in forest! Pick better spot to kill him. Even just hide behind fence for him to come out is better than this, yes? Poogie know how long he able to shrug off flames for? Maybe we give him run around until it wear off?"

Chuffy is suggesting they get well away, find some decent hiding spots, and wait for Pa Munchmeat to come looking for them... and then ambush him!

If no-one agrees to Chuffy's cowardly suggestion, Chuffy hides behind the structure numbered "2" with his crossbow at the ready. Can't remember what it was.

No readied actions when the bubble bursts... we'll just start initiative at that time. #2 was the shack with the gourds. Note: All round or minute per level buffs have gone away.

Somehow the ogre reacts faster than the goblins. He isn't a particularly large ogre, so maybe that has something to do with it. His spear seems a little small in his hands, but burns with a flame that doesn't consume it. (it is a size medium spear) He attampts to introduce the spear to Reta.

Reta takes a mighty blow from the spear, but luckily for her, the second strike careens off of her armor.

Goblins are up!

Rita takes aim at the big brute, letting fly with an arrow. Realizing that the ogre will be harder to hit with a missile while it is fighting with Reta, she then drops her bow, pulling out her dogslicer as she makes her way closer.

Standard to fire, free to drop, please Lockwood me 1 down and four to the right (or 3...kind of hard to tell where Pa is. Whichever one gets me 10' away.)

Mutagen last 30 minutes, I should still have this.

"Gonna make fatty go BOOOOM!! Cannot wait to kell him. Then gonna kell Chuffy"

Exclude up to 2 squares goblin are in adjacent to the bomb, from precise bombs

Precise bombs: Whenever the alchemist throws a bomb, he can select a number of squares equal to his Intelligence modifier that are not affected by the splash damage from his bombs. If the bomb misses, this discovery has no effect.

Then Mogmuch runs 30 back from Pa.

The big-headed goblin squeals in pain and then slashes out with her own blade. Her teeth are bared as she swings with all her might, but already Reta can feel the life draining from her following that deadly strike.

The battle starts with a fervor... the two fighters and the alchemist landing telling blows against the ogre.

Waiting on Poog and Chuffy

Reminder - the house itself is impassable terrain right now. And is on fire.

Okay, so I guess we're not hiding then.

Chuffy sneaks around past the enclosure while Pa is distracted and (hopefully) not aware of him (35 fot stealth above, please roll again for me if needed) and fires off a shot with his crossbow.

Crossbow vs Pa Munchmeat, vs FF (hopefully): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Crossbow damage, sneak attack: 1d3 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + (4, 1) = 8

Apparently not hiding then... Thats ok, we got this.

Poog squeals with delight, while simultaneously getting lost in the beauty of the burning building.

"Burn! Zarongel say you Burn! You not get to escape fiery death!"

With that, Poog lets loose the final charge from his wand of fireball, and drops the now useless stick on the ground.

The Ogre takes a good deal of damage from the crossbow bolt, but seems mostly unaffected by the fire (unlike the house).

He then stabs at Reta once more.

Poog releases a charge from the wand of sound burst at the stubborn ogre.

Pa was at an odd square placement, I've moved him a little to line up with the lines. Hope that's okay. Let me know if he's not actually where I've put him.

Unable to get up close to Pa with the house ablaze as it is, Chuffy elects to hide behind the leaping flames instead, preparing yet another sneak assault on the ogre.

Rita grimaces as the heat from the fireball washes over her, evading any real damage. Growling, she lashes out at Pa with her dogslicer, hoping to continue whittling the big bastard down.

Dogslicer: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Reta, being blessed the gods, is still alive and stabs again at the monster. She is so ecstatic at being not dead, the big-headed goblin does not pay enough attention and misses wildly.

Mogmurch moves forward again to be in bomb range, and hurls his last bomb at Pa.

Short

Both of the fighters miss, while Mogmurch and Poog pile on the pain. Chuffy is no where to be seen.

Apparently, the ogre has had enough, because he changes into the form of a giant bat, and tries to fly away.

AOO Reta: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
AOO Rita: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

This is just enough to drop the ogre.... and the fight is over.

On the body, you find the spear (+1 flaming), a wand with a few CMW charges left and two more gourds of fire burping.

In the ship, once you easily kill the fat sow in the way, you find Squealy Nord, who is very happy to see you! He practically dances when the goblins free him.

After the fires burn down, you are able to find a magical amulet, and what is left of a poorly made taxidermic dire corby, and what looks like a gold needle.

Coming off your victory, you head back to take on your new role as leaders of the Birdcruncher tribe. The Birdcrunchers already viewed the PCs as heroes for their performance in the dares, but returning from the Munchmeat farm victorious secures their role in Birdcruncher history as the greatest goblins of all time—especially if they return with enough gourds of fire burping to share with the tribe!

Poog begins to giggle, which turns into a guffaw, which then turns into a hilariously mad, evil laugh which extends uncomfortably long as the ogre drops to the ground, dead. When the grounds have been searched thoroughly, and the baubles and shiny things collected, Poog gathers his sub-chiefs to him.

He stands tall, referently, on top of the overturned ship, looking down on his beloved sub-chiefs.

"All bird-cruncher sub-chiefs deserve great praise and immortality today. Today we go down in history as greatest goblins ever, even more powerful than old-licktoad-chief-I-forgot-his-name. We never be forgotten."

"Chuffy. Poog take longshanks spear of zarongel fire as his new chief weapon. You have flaming sword of zarongel as symbol of Poog's Chief advisor. I make you necklace from pa Munchmeat's bones like I promise. I make you all necklaces from pa munchmeats bones, and it be symbol of powerful sub-chief of Poog the great! Now we go back, and all goblins of birdcruncher tribe throw themselves at us. It gonna be the best!"

Rita hops up and down in excitement. She had had terrible dreams lately of being killed by dogs, so this was a pleasant surprise. She basks in the glow of Chief Poog's praise, going so far as to saw off the ogre's head to carry home. It wouldn't do to have those Birdcrunchers doubt the integrity of their new chief!

"Long live Chief Poogie!" Yes, live long. First few weeks at least. Enough time to forget that Chuffy owes you revenge for cheating at stirges and killing birdies by hurting friends in pie. Chuffy only one who stomp mozzies proper. Chuffy one who escape pie first. Chuffy should be chief.

Chuffy cheers along with the rest of them, but will try to casually eat all the remaining eggs, Poogie not need owlbear guardian to stop Chuffy!

Mogmurch walks over to the dead Pa, and gives him a kick.

Turing to the rescued Squealy Nord, "You have daughter? Sister? Wife? Me looking for pretty goblin girl to play giggle pokes with. Don't tell Rita, or Reta. You like Chuffy? Him an a*$#+&~. Gonna make him go BOOOMS one day. Will be fun to watch it."

With that Mogmurch begins to giggle uncontrollably, and bounce up and down on his bottom.
