Alright folks, it seems like most of the relevant stuff is sorted. As of right now, all of you have at least 1 prestige point secured. If someone didn't manage to achieve their faction goals, we can always try it retroactively or something. If you are really bent on getting 2 prestige, that is.

This will be a longer post, so bear with me. I'll have it up in a few hours. I'm saving it in a notepad this time, because forum goblins ate a few of these and it's infuriating to spend 40 minutes reading the PDF and writing a post just to have it not posted due to timeouts. Thanks for being patient.

Pretty sure I have to make sure the rest of the lot of you don't hurt any legal Taldor agents, which shouldn't be TO hard thank goodness.

Odd that they left the faction missions in. Didn't they retroactively change that with the new list so that all old missions with factions now have something specific for the 2 prestige point and the faction stuff is just flavor?

A bit ahead of you - looking it up already, just in case. I wouldn't want to make you lose prestige, of course.

Got it. It's referenced in the secondary success conditions document. It looks like you didn't even have to do those faction missions anyway (most of them, that is), but eh - a little flavour on top can't hurt, right?

You are correct, faction goals are no longer relevant for PFS. While I joined to late for them to be a thing, playing some of these old scenarios (and seeing what needed to be done for them), well, I would almost welcome their return.

Check out the "Lazarus Form Recovery" extension (if you use Chrome, and maybe it's available for other browsers?). It's a lifesaver. I still try to remember to copy-paste before I post, but this has saved me on those occasions when the goblins were hungry and I forgot to.

No problem!

Also, concerning this encounter... MUHAHAHAHA! DIPLOMANCY FOR THE WIN!

ehem. Needed to get that out of my system.

All is well. Right - now, since we have just begun the last encounter of the scenario; spoilers spoilers; does anyone wish to participate in the Outpost specials with these characters? The question is, are we taking a break until mid April or can we carry on, business as usual?

Since the special is some 6 weeks away, and while it shouldn't be an issue, I can not say with 100% certainty that we would make it unless we all post at a fairly rapid pace. I have some events coming up in February that will keep me from posting for a few days at least, so I can not guarantee availability of your characters for Outpost if we start another scenario.

Personally, I am ready to carry on, just wanted to make sure you are up to speed on this if you want to play the special with these PCs.

As one of the recent fill-ins, I didn't realize this was a connected campaign. What is the next scenario (and how many more do we have planned to run together)?

Gotcha.

I haven't noticed any problems with this group keeping up the pace, so if we get started right away and keep that pace up, I'm comfortable playing Tenibri here before OutPost.

If you really want to play Tenibri in Outpost and continue here, I suppose I could pick up the pace a bit. But as I said, there are at least 4 days in Feb during which I won'd likely be available at all.

As for which scenario, that is yet to be seen. Are you new folks on PFS tracker? That's what we used to find a scenario last time.

I am zinzarin on PFS tracker; Tenibri is signed up for a run of 0-8 Slave Pits of Absalom. (Which, I suppose one option is just to run that if it works with the other PCs; I could remove him from Outpost entirely and there's no time crunch for this game.)

That is a very good question. Read up, and for now, let's say you wasted it.

Spell Failure

If you ever try to cast a spell in conditions where the characteristics of the spell cannot be made to conform, the casting fails and the spell is wasted.

Since the target of your spell was not a humanoid creature, as specified in the spell description, and holding to the above; RAW, it is wasted.

But it is an interesting question which merits a FAQ, I think. I was not able to find a similar question here.

I haven't got much in the way of preferences. So far, apart from the evergreens, Eadric's scenarios have been from the earlier seasons so it might be nice to continue that theme. If 0-8 Slave Pits of Absalom is available to play, I'd cast a vote in that direction for Tenibri's sake. :)

Yeah, he managed to get a few buffs up while you were attempting to chat with the figment.

Also, Tenibri, the recently released Ultimate Wilderness book has a different version of the spell in it, and as far as I am aware, PFS games use that version ever since. Or should, rather.

The new version has SR applied to it, and no staggered condition after a failed save. That said, there's also no Fort save on it. Just for future reference.

The new version is on the same page you linked, just under the first (original) version.

Alright, folks. I looked at the sheet from Oma and your PFS trackers. To keep the options simple, I have 3 scenarios to suggest.

  • #4-07 - Severing Ties
  • #7-22 - Bid for Alabastrine
  • #6–22 - Out of Anarchy

All 3 of these are fairly heavy on roleplay from what I've seen. Without spoiling too much, I'll give you a quick rundown.

Severing Ties is a sabotage mission (Aspis), similar to Consortium Compact, with more sneaking about. There is one rather dangerous combat encounter if you fail to avoid it, however. Seems fun either way.

Bid for Alabastrine is one of a similar nature to the above (as in, you are facing the Aspis again), but it's more of an auction thing with intrigue.

I did run Out of Anarchy, and I have to admit it is a bit clunky with its reputation mechanic, but that's for me to worry about, not you. This is a rescue mission. A Society agent is stuck in Cheliax and you help them out if you can.

Anyone of you that can't run these? And if you can, what would you prefer?
