Damien gets a firm nod. "Absolutely." Don't hate the man for the sins of his rulers, any more than being frustrated with Colson for not seeing how rotten some things are in Andoran...

"And whoever did this has made the worst mistake. When the freedom-loving leaders of Andoran and the order-loving leaders of Cheliax can align with mutual interest and goal, this is saying something."

The tengu will give a glance to the bard-barian.

"I'm probably better with that than you are, but if you wish to use it, I won't stand in your way. I'll leave it up to you. One bright part of my upbringing is we're trained with blades from almost the time we're standing upright..."

Conan, Wei's not greedy or pushy, if you think you'd do better with the Talonstrike blade, have at.

When the party gets a bit closer to the given area, Wei is going to hit the party with Communal Protection from Evil (unless Luisila beats him to it) on Kalendir, Quiven, and Conan. They'll each have it for a minute. He'll then drop Protection from Evil on himself.

(I believe that Wei Ji, Kalendir, and myself are the only people in the party proficient with martial weapons, and I'm pretty sure that Kalendir will be wanting to stick with his bow. Looks like you're already using a bastard sword, Wei Ji? You're more than welcome to take the sword if so)

Conan salutes the major sharply. "We will do our very best, SIR!"

He grabs the blanch and dashes to the salon's fireplace to apply it to his sword, with a sort of charmingly simplistic faith in the judgment of Major Colson Maldris-- clearly if the major gave him this, it should be used!!!

Blade coated in the gritty blanch and heated, Conan chants a few words, channeling the deft feet of his inner dragon.

(Going to cast feather step on myself, as well as apply the blanch.)

Ninja'd! Edit:

"No, friend Wei Ji! You should take this blade and together we will strike for LIBERTY!"

"You just *HAD* to say that, didn't you? I'm holding you responsible for half of a donation to the local Iroran congregation if that does happen. You NEVER EVER say that to someone going into a fight. EVER. Didn't they teach you that in Pathfinder Finishing School? I know they taught me that. Oh, and if it does happen, I expect you to live up to the Sting's dictates."

Despite the words, the tengu's actually pretty relaxed about it, using a joking tone to emphasize that he's not really THAT irritated with Luisila -- like she said, who could she joust with if he was gone?

He gives Luisila a playful wink and then looks at the rest of the party.

"Not going to lie, last fight I was in like this before this expedition didn't go all that great. Here's to hoping we're a bit more focused than the last expedition I was on..."

Taking the door out into the garden from the salon, the party searches until the come to the southern section of the garden. They see two serving girls that look of similar builds to the corpses the party found earlier. Luisila recognizes the girl she tried to chase in the salon. With them, Lady Dyrianna's manservant Faelyn stands, a glassy-eyed look on his face.

One of the girls rears forward, an inhuman screeching coming out of its throat. She jams her fingers into her head, ripping down and taking the rest of the human body with it, the form of the girl dissolving into the air. In its place, you see a small creature wearing ostentatious red robes with gilding. Its skin is the color of an angry bruise, and its stick like fingers extend into long black nails similar to quills just dipped in ink. Picture of him is in the NPC pictures

Up in the trees, you hear movement. Looking up, you see several young women with batwings and tails. Upon a closer look, their wavy waist-length dark hair obscures horns. They look down at you and giggle.

The other serving girl turns around, the movement slow and tantalizing. She snaps her fingers and her whole form changes. She's suddenly taller, wearing...uh..."comfortable"...Tien-style clothing, and in perfect idealized proportion in all the right areas. That she has small horns, batlike wings, and a tail does not diminish her beauty.

For a picture, I added a terrible one made with my terrible photoshop skills to the NPC pictures up above.

She leans over, bringing attention to her cleavage while holding up her middle and index fingers near her face. Like a peace sign She winks and giggles, affecting the precocious flirtation of a Tien schoolgirl.

"See you soon!" She speaks, but never opens her mouth. The words ring in your minds. In another puff of smoke, she vanishes.

Faelyn looks about with a confused expression, unable to find words.

The little demon girls are about 10 feet up in the trees.

Here are the identifications DCs, for every 5 you exceed the DC, you may ask one additional question (special defenses, special attacks, lowest save, typical alignment, etc....). By identifying the creature, you learn its types and subtypes and you are aware of the associated traits.

Knowledge (planes) DC 17 for Vanished Villainess:
This lascivious woman is a succubus, a demon that exists to tempt the desires of mortals so that she may feed on their essence. This particular one appears to have some additional skills beyond those typical of a succubus. Type: Outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar)

Knowledge (planes) DC 15 for Creepy Claws:
This vile creature is a dandasuka rakshasa, a type of rakshasa that favors spying and assassination. They possess a ravenous hunger for flesh and blood. Type: Outsider (native, rakshasa, shapechanger)

Knowledge (planes) DC 20 for Demonic Debutantes:
These rare creatures are alu-demons, creatures spawned from the union of a succubus and a human. They have similar abilities to their mothers, though typically weaker. Type: Outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar)

"You think you can impress Lady Dyrianna by rescuing her boy-toy, Little Miss Brown-noser?" The voice was not in anyone's head this time. It was coming from directly above Luisila.

Before anyone can react, Luisila feels a clawed hand ripping into her back. The demonic woman appears, her clawed hand still in the half-elf's back. A miasma of black-purple energy envelops the woman's hand. Luisila feels as though her life force is being directly siphoned from her. Her skin around the wound thins and cracks until blood starts flowing freely. Take 35 damage. You are now bleeding (the damage will tick at the beginning of your turn)

The demoness blows a kiss, then disappears once more in a cloud of smoke.

One of the smaller demon-girls flies forward into a tree, then looks directly at Kalendir.

"That bow looks heavy! You should drop it."

However, some manner of magical defense on him leaves the magical suggestion as mere words to the masked elf.

@Luisila I did have fun! You are at -38, as you were at 35 and bleeding for 3. I took off the 3 at the beginning of your turn.

Also, that most definitely sounds like a bluff, darling.
Luisila Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

GM Rolls (Don't Look!):

The demon-girls giggle at Luisila's highly unconvincing misdirection while the rakshasa clutches his stomach in mad laughter. The party hears the succubus's voice in their heads once more.

"I've seen Iomedaeans lie better than that, little bee. No wonder Lady Dyriana thinks you are a sycophant."

The southern demon-girl pauses for a second as if listening to something, then flies down, swinging her sword in a wide arc starting with the last place she saw Kalendir. Wei Ji's ready does not go off b/c he specified the succubus as the target

The demon-girl's sword cuts into Kalendir, his blood streaking the ground. However, the demon-girl looks around desperately, failing to make eye-contact with anyone there. Her swing continues on into the last place she saw Wei Ji.

The magic of Major Colson's sword gives Wei Ji the prescience to dodge out of the way. However, the demon-girl's will is stronger this time, and as she finishes her swing, her eyes look directly into Wei Ji's.

She inclines her head back and calls out. "Mom! I hit one of 'em like you said I would! They're still right here! It's some kinda illusion."

Given that Wei almost got tagged and there's a baby demonette on him, could he shift his attack to the one that tried to hit him? It was readied for the succubus but *baby demon in face* might be an argument for striking out, especially since she made eye contact?

Silver Crusade

The Kat Season At Sea Mahdi's Chattel Lady Darchana

Unfortunately, that's simply just not how readied actions work. You can make your target "any hostile target that comes in range" if you want to be flexible enough to just hit whatever comes close. Also, the succubus gets to go before your turn comes up again, so you may still have a chance to have your ready go off.

You get +2 and sneak on the first attack because you are visible after it. Be glad it works that way, as this fight would get a hell of a lot more brutal if it didn't.

Also, the demon-girl is flying five-feet up in the air, so you aren't getting a flank from Takkit.

Quiven suddenly pops out of the magical grass disguise, showing the nearby demon-girl a different kind of blade. Quiven will retreat back to where he had dropped his bow so that he may recover it, putting away his blades as he moves. Can I still fire an arrow or does that take up my standard as well?

The Kat Season At Sea Mahdi's Chattel Lady Darchana

@Quiven it's a move action to pick up your bow, and actually a move action each to put away your blades. You decide how you want to finagle that.

GM Rolls (Don't Look!):
AD 1 Stabilize: 1d20 + 4 - 6 ⇒ (12) + 4 - 6 = 10

A skeletally thin creature with raw flesh, slick with blood, materializes in front of the party.

"Hehehe, time for blood and darkness...."

An umbral shadow covers his hand. As he touches it to the tip of his longspear, the darkness flies out all around him.

The entire translucent black circle is in Darkness, as the spell.

The female succubus's coy, girlish voice rings out-loud this time, not bothering with telepathy: "Teehee, this doesn't look good for your friends, little bee."

All attacks are versus flat-footed AC

A fusillade of blades flies through the darkened air...

First two attacks are on Kalendir
Primary Shuriken (invisibilty, range increments): 1d20 + 18 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 18 + 2 - 4 = 29
Damage (sneak attack): 1d2 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (2, 4, 5) = 13
Bleeding for 3

Ki Point Shuriken (effective invisibility from darkness): 1d20 + 18 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 18 - 4 = 24
Damage (sneak attack): 1d2 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (5, 1, 3) = 11
Bleeding for 3

...and two land in the elven archer, causing a heavily bleeding wound, and two more...

Next Attack two attacks are on Conan
1st Iterative Shuriken (effective invisibilty from darkness): 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 13 - 4 = 20
Damage (sneak attack): 1d2 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (5, 5, 3) = 15
Bleeding for 3

2nd Iterative Shuriken (effective invisibilty from darkness): 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 4 = 14
Damage (sneak attack): 1d2 + 1 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (1, 4, 5) = 13
Bleeding for 3

...clink off of Conan's armor.

Guess I'll have to sacrifice that standard to pick up the bow, no worries.
