Mimes. Why did it have to be mimes?

They're walking against the wind.
Very dangerous.
You go first.

....

"The professor? Yes i am here to pay my respects, almost two summers ago he was... searching for something from near my home, One of the men with him saved me from some..."

The blonde haired maiden paused for a moment looking downcast for just a second. Whatever mental memory that stole her words was gone after a moment however.

"Since i knew the area, I acted as his guide for a bit. He was so nice to me. He didnt act like i was...

Again a pause, as if she were contemplating her next words. She looked away from the table almost torwards the roof or the sky above.

"He was very nice to me."

She finished quietly focusing on her food.

Scribbles notes furiously in ledger while he wanders the room, in his grim Ustalav drag--all black and gray.

Bluff (nothing to see here): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"Hmm? No, nothing, nothing, just... calculating."
Intimidate (mind your own business): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Sohar begins to reach a hand out to comfort the young woman before remembering that it isn't welcome in all cultures. He awkwardly turns the gesture into petting the thrush that is now perched on the table, picking at some berries.

"Aye, he was very nice. But he also had a penchant for trouble," he says with a wistful smile. "Let us hope that did not contribute to his demise," he says much more seriously. He absent-mindedly touches the letters through his robe, fearing the opposite.

Aba'al orders up a goat with extra gravy and salt and makes sure to inform his server he cannot abide pork, and hints darkly (and likely poorly Bluff (innuendo): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4) that there may be trouble if he finds any in his meal. (If you know what I mean.) He throws a pinch salt over his left shoulder with his right hand (to sting the eyes of the prying servitors of you-know-who) when it arrives. He inspects it for a moment and then digs in with his fingers (again using his right hand), pushing the gravy about with hunks of meat. Assuming it's good he eats with great gusto.

Scout continues juggling his throwing darts in a corner. But he keeps a watchful eye on the guy walking around talking to himself and scribbling in a notebook.

"You there!" through bits of goat and gravy. "Where is your puppet master?" Tact: 1d20 - 20 ⇒ (8) - 20 = -12

Takes... note. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

To GM Fateweaver,
Having inspected the Hero Point rules, Aba'al is swapping the Dodge Feat for Hero's Fortune. He's all about daring do. In fact, you get him some dare and he'll do it..Coiger is probably opting to take the Antihero option (assuming it is available). I'm not sure what Feat he would take to replace it (probably something that would make him more cleric-y), but in his experience (and belief paradigm) there's no such thing as luck.

Scout replies, "He is dead. He was killed by a bunch of people who attacked and destroyed his workshop. They almost killed me too. I was lucky to escape with my life."

makes a quick carving of the man walking around ,with a small image in the book the statuette is holding that looks like a fist coming out of the book

Hey, everyone! Thanks for taking the time to show off your characters for us. It's been great watching them. There are more good characters than I have room for. It's been a very difficult process choosing the characters. I have tried to consider both character interaction and party composition for a party that has the greatest chance at success, both as a group and in the challenges that await.

To those of you I cannot choose, thank you for submitting. I hope your characters find a place in another game.

Without further ado...

The Big Reveal:
Chellian, Sohar, Coiger, Morgrym

Things will begin officially tomorrow. I'll see you in the Gameplay and Discussion threads. I will also be posting some of Painlord's famous pbp guidelines in the Discussion thread. Please, peruse them and make sure you're familiar before gameplay commences. I'm excited to have you on board. Hope you packed some fresh shorts. Let the horror begin!

Awesome, congrats to all! And thanks for the invite!

Congratulations to those who made it.

I can't believe I lost to that guy! (staring at Coiger, then Aba'al pushes past the boom mic and walks off set in a huff).

Grats to those who made it, better luck next time I hope to those who didnt.

Thanks for the opportunity GM Fateweaver

"Well, best be off t' Ravengro. T' yer health," Morgrym raises his breakfast pint to the keeper of the house, shoulders his pick, and makes his way down the road to his friend's home.
