Saldoc slashes at the nearest enemy, but the tengu easily parries the blade.

Meredith tries to move around into a flanking position, drawing attacks from the tengu on her as well as the large bird with its long neck.

The tengu misses, but the bird's massive beak tears at Meredith's flesh, leaving a gaping wound and nearly dropping her.

Meredith continues on and, only by the distraction of the flanking is she able to find a weakness in the rider's thick armor, making a small cut.
