I don't know why you couldn't skin the hot weather outfit as cleric vestments. The descriptions of both use the word "typically include" or "typically consists of" which gives you leeway as to what your specific item looks like.
As long as you've paid the in-game price for hot-weather to gain the mechanical +2 bonus, I don't see anything in the rules that would prevent them from looking like a lighter version of Sarenrae's robes.

Ya I had thought about the outfit for Dale but knew it wasn't needed, but I had thought of it to blend in better.. not Dale's strong suit as we already know from prior experience.
I'd have argued some for checks to help boost those fort saves from Survival and my kit but they were so horrid I think Dale was purposely experimenting on himself with the local diseases...

Shoot! I'll update that sometime soon then.

I nearly died laughing I gotta admit. My female roommate has made similar commentary, so i don't think it's to crass, least not among friends.

I appreciated the comment. In high school, my group of friends was mostly male, and some had potty mouths. I did not like that kind of language. I kept a small store of comments along those lines, which they knew if they got too out of hand with their language I would reciprocate with. The groans and ewwwwws told me it always worked...

Strategy question:
Tad does not yet have selective channel. Should he heal Dru, even if it means healing the enemy the same amount?
In terms of Dru's humor, there is only one thing I know of that makes men react more strongly, and that's discussing certain very personal injuries. At least for the very few men I ever talk about such things with...

![]() |

Forgot to include this in my reply to Monty's post from so long ago, but I love the relationship the two of them have too!
Also Dru, I have no problems with your humor, but as someone of the male persuasion I don't really know if I have to right to judge it as offensive or not, but no one else seems to have a problem!

![]() |

I know, but I was more saying I, the player, am not really qualified to judge whether it's offensive or not.

I wasn't saying we should stop for the day, just for a rest. Considering many of us are fatigued I'm sure we stop and take a rest here and there. I think many of us are not in great shape, but Dru is now high on that list with Dale. Hopefully my fort saves help me out in the coming days.

Hey... my never-ending quest to try to hasten things along. =)
With Dru in France (8 hours ahead) and Faliana in Japan (8 hours behind), it gets a little tricky sometimes.
But Dru usually pops in at around midnight my time (morning for them) ... and is then around til I get up at about 8... I can occasionally catch him if I get something early enough!
It was hit and miss today... she posted the second time (Hit!) ... but didn't actually post an action (Miss!).
C'est la guerre!
Been non stop power outages for me the past day and a bit from a severe windstorm that came through, so had to update when I could. All seems good now though.

He kicks out with one leg, trying to bring his opponent down, knowing he can't risk trying to stand up, so just kicks with all his might!
You should really consider Monkey Style... It's sooooooo appropriate!

FYI Monty: Fatigued gives you -2 str and -2 dex, so it should only be dropping your to hit by 1 and your damage by 1. It looked like in your calculations you had it at -2 to hit.

It's even possible I posted before your edit; my post was only 4 minutes after yours. Luckily Dale got in there.
I was asking about the length for the sequence because I've signed up to GM my first special in January, and I'm hoping to have significantly fewer games then.

Hi! Thanksgiving and its weekend have me busier than I expected. I will return to all of my games Sunday PM or Monday. Please bot me if needed!

....
That is a darn good question. (Goes and looks at sheet and scratches head. Checks archetype.)
Huh. Ya know what? Looks like I'm just an ijit who didn't write that down or something.
Welp. I'm gonna add that on my sheet now.

Treating disease only takes 10mins. Long term care takes lots of time to double up on regaining lost ability scores. Both quite helpful, certainly for some with lots of lost con.

So....
One of my favorite things about Pathfinder--more specifically, about Golarion and world-building--is making elves (and dwarves) rare and unique again. Obviously, we see plenty of them adventuring in PFS, but when you actually make it to one of their homelands, you begin to realize how every other nation is a human nation.
They've made elves special again, and bless them for it.
Kudos to EM±GM as well for presentation, of course--an excellent job as ever!

I agree Brady. The games have all centered around human settlements, this one and the last with the Elves and Grippli are a welcome change. Next up I'll need to find a game that brings in a Dwarven Citadel or something. A nice change of mental scenery.
PS, Dale is certainly willing to shell out some gold to not die of the plague! I should check to see what he has available...

Just to clarify something...
The special insect repellent that is offered here (and in Nantambu) for 10gp, is not an actual item you will find in the various Paizo source materials beyond this scenario. It is also not something on the chronicle, as an item you can purchase going forward.
I think they added it as a way to avoid having to go through 50 or so of the more expensive and effective vermin repellent on the trip =)
Basically, you can buy it in this scenario only, and one tub of it (for the 10 gp) lasts the entire scenario... but is all gone once we reach the end, and you can't carry it forward to future scenarios.
Call it a limited shelf life =)

Dang I was getting excited to learn how to make it. Is there a machete listed in there similarly? I've never found one in game materials which is why I've never tried to buy one. I've also never found insect netting, for say sleeping under. Another must for outdoor living. Its surprising considering the considerable equipment they list, and many things you wonder if anyone has EVER bought/used them.

![]() |

There's camouflage netting, but it doesn't offer any specific in-game benefit vs. insects (though, logically, it should do something).

Ya I've used that on Luurg my alchemist (ranger wanna-be). No one likes being bitten by skeeters all day and night.

EM±GM |

Machetes are in the Melee Tactics Toolbox players companion book.
Has the same basic stats as a short sword, plus a bonus on survival checks in the wilderness.
And Tents cover a lot of the 'keeping the outside out' scenarios while sleeping.
Oh, and mentioned the insect repellent when I noticed Faliana wanting to buy two of them!
