Drat. Oh, well — at least Noro will have the chance to finish what she started! :)

Noro Kas |

Drat. Oh, well — at least Noro will have the chance to finish what she started! :)
with the dice rolls I have been getting not-likely

DM-Salsa |

I got bit by the post monster. Party up, The goblin rider and goblin 3 are in pretty bad shape. Goblins 1 & 2 smell like brunt hair and wet dog. No one in the party got hurt, sooooo...
Round 2 . . . FIGHT!

Pavanna Alazario |

«Вы можете смотреть все, что вы чертовски хорошо пожалуйста, дорогуша, - но когда профессиональный пытается работать, не получают у нее на пути.»
In Common/Taldane: “A tiefling has no fear of a little fire, Saroune, but I thank you for the warning regardless!”
Status: +1 Archaeologist’s Luck [2 rounds expended, 4 remaining], +1 inspire courage from Horatio’s ongoing performance
(charge is over, so no +2 TH bonus or -2 AC penalty)
Free action: maintain Archaeologist’s Luck
Swift action: activate Arcane Strike (+1 damage)
Standard action: melee attack at Goblin #2
Attack+AL+IC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage+AL+IC+AS: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Got him, yes! :D

Olivius_Telraven |

Olivius shifts his feet slightly and strikes up at the goblin rider.
Attack+IC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 1 = 14
damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 9
Should we peek at the statuses and RP the resolutions of our actions ourselves, or would you like to handle all that, Sir GM?

Asuriel Arktaros |

Professional, eh? I'll show you professional.
Asuriel squeezes the grip of her Scimitar in her right hand and rushes up beside Saroune, arcing her blade down towards Goblin #1.
«За сонцето и бес!»
Attack+IC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Unfortunately she wasn't able to focus and calm herself from her previous frustrations and swings too early, missing the creature. She regroups and readies the blade for another attack.
Out of the corner of her eye she watches Pavanna demolish the goblin in front of her with a brutal attack.
Without making eye contact with tiefling she shouts,
«Ние треба да ги преземе еден жив!»
Move Action: Move to O22
Standard Action: Attack Goblin #1

Noro Kas |

Noro in her classic fighting stance. having ducked the goblin attack. simply responds with a simple upper cut. but the blow does very little.
attack on goblin 3: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 = 13
OK so far on all my games combined. I have rolled two nat 1's and every roll has been less than 10
nat 1 noro attack on goblin
nat 1 my shaman's attempt to scout a clearing
a 3 Noro's attack on the goblin
a 7 on Noro's next attack on the same goblin
a 2 on my sorcerer's lightning attack
another 7 after burning an action point to shoot again.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Horatio tucks his violin into his belt, then sweeps his hand through the air like a conductor, giving the lingering, inspiring tune another 'push' to keep it going. It swells as Pavanna fells a goblin, wanes at Noro's too-wild blows, and echoes around the buildings.
He recognizes the language of devils for what it is - the wizards of Korvosa were just as prone to devil binding as those of the empire, after all - but can't recognize a damn word, which frustrates him. He draws the goblin shortbow, grimaces at the flimsy thing, and prepares to fire.
Move action to stow violin, move action to draw shortbow, free action to maintain performance.

Saroune Anzoletta |

Saroune took a few short steps back before the goblin could swing at her. She mimed a punch, put some of her will into it, and threw the force towards the disgusting creature. It was a simple transmutation, but the goblin was small enough that her telekinetic punch could hurt it.
Move Action: Five Foot Step
Standard Action: Telekinetic Fist
Telekinetic Punch vs. Touch AC: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Does Horatio's morale bonus work towards my attack?

Pavanna Alazario |

As I read the PRD description of Inspire Courage? The attack-roll, yes; the damage dice, no.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

It says "weapon attack and damage rolls", so I'm not entirely sure. Up to Salsa, I'd say.

Thirzin Bronzebeard |

So I'm assuming either the goblin in front of Thirzin or the gob dog are hurting but not dead. So, whichever is alive will get a swing!
Seeing one of the natural enemies of his people trying so hard to take this town, he laughs and growls. "Ya're gonna die, ya little runts!"
Axe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Seriously?!

DM-Salsa |

Goblin 1 (AC 16): 4/6 hp
Goblin 2 (AC 16): Ding-Dong the gob is Dead.
Goblin 3 (AC 16): 1/6 hp
Goblin Rider (AC 17): Ding-Dong the gob is Dead.
Goblin Dog (AC 11): 2/9 hp
Thirzin Dwarven waraxe vs. Goblin Rider: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 1 = 24
Damage: 1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9
Thirzin AoO vs. Goblin Dog: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d10 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
Ignore: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10
Goblin 1 vs. Saroune: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Pavanna sends another goblin to its end as she cleaves through its overly large head. Asuriel has less luck, and the goblin side-steps the blow, only to have its nose bloodied by Saroune's psychic punch. The goblin growls and steps forward to take a swing at the wizard, and misses by half a foot.
"Longshanks bad! Longshanks hurt Grobbik!" he yells.
Noro's fist goes wide again and the goblin in front of her begins to laugh, a maddening chittering that grates on the ears before he turns about and drops his pants and shakes his green behind at the woman.
AoO for both Pavanna and Noro
Across the way, Olivius tries to slay the goblin riding the mangy cur that they call a dog. His blow misses as the goblin leans out of the way, but that only delays his demise as Thirzin splits his head and part of his torso. The goblin dog, feeling his master slide off its back turns tail to run, but Thirzin is quicker and leaves a long bleeding gash on it's flank.
AoO for Olivius.
Party's up. Thirzin, I was working on this when you posted. If you want, you can keep the rolls I made, or use the ones you made.

Asuriel Arktaros |

Asuriel stands erect as she regroups and focuses. She swings her blade down at the goblin and at the last second turns the blade away so that the flat side strikes the goblin on the top of the head.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage (Nonlethal): 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
The blow is expertly blades and inflicts masses damage, concussing him as intended. The goblin drops to the ground in front of her and Asuriel begins to move forward as she speaks to Povanna without looking at her before she moves ahead.
«Тифлинг, на этот раз не убили, но я оказал его в бессознательном состоянии, мы будем допросить его позже. Сообщить другие Ищу движущихся вверх рядом с ними, чтобы они не кажутся мне, если вам будет угодно. Я не хотел бы быть сокращены в два раза.»
Scimitar in hand, Asuriel moves ahead beside Thirzrin, hoping Povanna will relay the message to the braided dwarf does not spin to attack her.
Standard:Attack Goblin #1 with Nonlethal damage
Move:Move up to J22 beside Thizrin

DM-Salsa |

Unfortunately that is actually enough to kill him. Anything over his max is lethal and he only had 6 to begin with, so that's 5 damage to 4 hp. You broke the poor thing's noggin.

Asuriel Arktaros |

Asuriel stands erect as she regroups and focuses. She swings her blade down at the goblin and at the last second turns the blade away so that the flat side strikes the goblin on the top of the head. The blow is expertly placed, but Asuriel let the fury of her frustration into her swing and she inflicts entirely too much damage to concuss him. Instead its neck whips around 270 degrees, dropping it dead on the spot.
Asuriel sighs and glances at the fallen creature for a moment.
See what happens when you let the tiefling get under your skin? Focus, Asuriel, focus!
«Тифлинг, я намеревался сделать этот бессознательный, но не смог. Попробуйте взять эту другую живую. Сообщить другие Ищу движущихся вверх рядом с ними, чтобы они не кажутся мне, если вам будет угодно. Было бы неприятно быть, как вы говорите, "разрезать пополам.»
Scimitar in hand, Asuriel moves ahead beside Thizrin, hoping Povanna will relay the message to the braided dwarf does not spin to attack her.
Standard:Attack Goblin #1 with entirely too much nonlethal damage, killing it.
Move:Move up to J22 beside Thizrin

Olivius_Telraven |

Olivius sees the dog pull back to flee and thrusts his spear in a wide arc, hoping to imps the dog before it can fully turn to run.
Attack, no PA, IC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10
Seriously?!
But misjudges the path the dog takes by a hair and misses.

DM-Salsa |

The goblin dog decides that it has no reason to tangle with the angry dwarf and the even angrier man and bolts with its tail between it's legs.
Noro, Pavanna, Thirzin, and Horatio, you're up. Remember there's a goblin left. and he's currently mooning Noro.
Noro, Pavanna, don't forget you're AoOs

Noro Kas |

attack Aoo: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 = 14
Noro seems a bit stunned that a goblin would do such a thing but the fact that its ass is so hideous infuriates her. and she lash out at the balasted little runt.
attack, rage, IC: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 11
alright what the hell.... consider this fair warning...Noro is pissed, if anyone attacks the mooning goblin, they will be be considered a target for Noro...

DM-Salsa |

That time he was flatfooted. Post coming up. Out of combat for now.
Noro in her rage emasculates the goblin with a kick. The goblin squeaks in pain and his heart stops before he has a chance to even fall to the ground.

Pavanna Alazario |

O.o Yeesh. Okay, that works.... FYI, dropping Archaeologist’s Luck for now [3 rounds expended, 3 remaining]
Seeing Noro’s fury-laden kick fell their last opponent, and hearing various things crunch and crack under the blow, Pavanna relaxes a little. So much for prisoners.... “Well-struck, Noro. Yonder strumpet with the scimitar was hoping we could question one of them, but no matter. Protecting the innocent always comes before sparing the guilty. If she wanted a live prisoner, she should have taken one herself.” And wow, won’t this get awkward now that Asuriel can understand Taldane again? ;D
She turns to the others, eyes wide and concerned. “Is anyone hurt?”

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

After fumbling with the shortbow, Horatio finally manages to put an arrow to the string - just as the final goblin falls dead. He winces at Noro's... Rather brutal method of putting the creature down, feeling a sympathetic ache for the wretched thing. "Remind me to never get on your bad side," he mutters to the barbarian woman.
Tucking the bow over his shoulder, he lets the echoing music die out, playing one final coda before fading into silence. His fingertips glow briefly with that golden light before it, too, winks out of existence.
Placing a hand on Pavanna's shoulder, he replies, "Only my pride, I fear. It seems I'm not particularly useful in combat situations like this. That 'strumpet' seemed to cause you some degree of annoyance - you'll have to tell me about that soon. In the meantime, however..."
He strides confidently over the corpses, to where the nobleman is hiding behind the barrel. With a bow, he helps the man to his feet, looking him over for any wounds or injuries. "Fear not, my good man, for the foe has been slain and order shall be restored! You are safe once again!"
Leading him back to the group, he casts an eye over the newcomer - the 'strumpet with the scimitar', as it were. Offering her a bow - a slow, deep one, looking her over as he does so - he says, "As for you, it seems your assistance was most useful. By what name may we call you?"

DM-Salsa |

Now, now Horation, I'm not quite ready for Asuriel to talk in Taldane just yet.
First, I apologize in advance for any damage from spewed drinks. :D
Oh, best not forget the mood music: Link to the music
The noble stands up form his hiding place and approaches the party. He is quite handsome with a smile that has stolen many a maiden's heart.
"Th-thank you for rescuing me. That was quite impressive. Allow me toOH MY GODS THERE'S MORE OF THEM!" He screams before hiding behind the barrel again. Beyond the open gates you can see that there is indeed more of them. A good deal more. Enough that they could swarm over the party and continue on in to Sandpoint.
But before that can happen, the goblins stop their head long charge. A goblin in leather pants and a hide vest steps forward.
"Krosk knows what longshanks want. Longshanks want Krosk." He says while presenting himself. "Krosk make sweet, sweet lovin's to all de sexy ladies. Krosk is muy sex-ay, yes" he rips off the pants to reveal that he is wearing a black, leather, "banana hammock."
On either side of him stand four goblins, the two closest to him rip off their shirts, revealing that they are goblin women, and are wearing pasties.
"Krosk is in needs of sweet lovin's. Krosk will win sexy ladies' hearts with a dance off to the death! Go forth my comrades! Fetch me the sexy ladies. Burn the ugly ones with the rest of the town!"
"Good luck bois!" The two goblin strippers say in unison. Eight more goblins appear from behind Krosk and his entourage and from ranks. The two goblins flanking Krosk and his "ladies" begin laying out a beat on their thighs. Krosk points to the party while thrusting his pelvis in time with the beat.
"Let the dance, BEGIN!"
As the goblin warriors rattle their weapons and bear their teeth in lecherous grins, the strippers begin to shimmy.
Party: 26
Goblins (Init +6): 8d20 ⇒ (3, 20, 16, 5, 15, 3, 1, 2) = 65
Goblin Commandos (Init +3): 2d20 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8
Goblin Strippers (Init +2): 2d20 ⇒ (18, 13) = 31
Krosk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Tie Breaker Goblins: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Tie Breaker party: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Initiative Order:
-Party
-Goblins
Party's up, You start in the area with the green border and grey background. Or you can run in terror, clutching your bleeding eyes. I wouldn't blame you. :D

Thirzin Bronzebeard |

As much as the latter sounds appealing..
Thirzin laughs at the pathetic display of what little goblins have to offer. "Sorry to cut your celebration short, ya green bit a' snot, but - ah hells, I ain't even a bit sorry!"
Is it possible for Thirzin to charge the nearest goblin? While on mobile, I can't seem to view the map. Dang phone on the fritz.

DM-Salsa |

Yup. There's eight goblins in the front ranks. Five followed by three. Behind them are Krosk and the other four goblins.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Tch, fine. I won't rip my shirt off and start thrusting...

Pavanna Alazario |

I could have happily spent the rest of my life without this image in my head. Pavanna sighs and looks to Horatio, quietly nodding him back into position. “Horatio, when you get the chance, I really think ‘Krosk’ would look so much better with an arrow or two in his throat. I’ll keep them off you. Saroune, please use your spell-punches on their second line. Olivius, Thirzin, shall we charge as a shield-wall? And Noro, would you mind staying at my right side as we go forward? There’ll be plenty of them for you to punch when we get there, and I’ll keep the dogslicers from your back.”
«Вы - с ятаган! Когда мы продвигаемся, держать уровень с карликом и Olivius, копье обладателя.»
If Thirzin, Olivius, Noro, and Asuriel would care to form a line-of-battle with Pavanna across the ‘9’ line in our starting-block on the map, we can advance as a solid wall of our own fighters and tie up their entire front line; hopefully, between that and Saroune throwing TK-punches at the back row, that’ll limit their chances of turning our flank.

Thirzin Bronzebeard |

Sounds like a dang good idea. Can't wait until I get the appropriate feats to shield bash idiots off their feet!
Thirzin smirks and nods, slamming the flat of his axe against his shield. "Let's leave 'em flat."
If anyone would like to do a roll for me? Work has me tied up, proverbially, for the next hour or so.

Pavanna Alazario |

Assuming we (mostly) go with Pavanna’s plan...
Rolling for Thirzin, assuming he charges from H9->H7 and attacks Goblin #5:
[note to remember: -2 charge penalty reduces Thirzin’s AC to 17 for the turn, but grants another +2 to his to-hit]
Attack+Charge+Hatred: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Looks like a hit to me....
Dwarven Waraxe+Hatred: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Looks like we can chalk up another bad-guy! :D

Pavanna Alazario |

And now for Pavanna’s own actions....
Swift action: activate Archaeologist’s Luck (3 rounds expended, 3 rounds remaining)
As she dashes forward and brings her sword down in a scything overhead strike, Pavanna recites an old prayer to herself: I am the Inheritor’s swift sword, her stout shield, her shining armour. I am the champion of the innocent and the bane of those who would harm them.
Full-round action: charge from J9->J7 and attack Goblin #7
AC is 16 for the turn...
Attack+AL+Charge: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
... no need for a damage roll. :(
... but even though the prayer steadies her eye and arm, the goblin sees her coming and is swift enough to twist aside from under the blow.

Saroune Anzoletta |

Saroune stood agape at the goblin's "display". "I'm clearly dead," she muttered to nobody in particular. "I'm dead and this is one of the Seven Hells and this is my punishment.
Pavanna's rapid orders snapped the wizard back into reality. Thinking about the spells she had prepared, Saroune thought she might have a better idea. She ran past the gesturing tiefling, confident that the battle line would rush forward before the goblins could attack her. Producing a vial of colored sand, Saroune again split her mind into separate pieces, focusing one on the sand and the other on her current emotion: staggering disbelief.
Uncorking the vial, she fanned the sand out in front of her to sprinkle over the goblin ranks. At that moment, Saroune brought the two pieces back together with the proper command and her emotion flooded into the sand, causing each grain to explode in a flash of swirling, dazzling color. With any luck, that would stun the front lines.
Move Action:Standard Move
Standard Action:Cast Color Spray
Potential Color Spray Duration: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Goblins 1-3 and 5-7 need to take a DC 16 Will Save.

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Can I retcon out my last post? If not, I'll have to spend another couple of rounds juggling between bow and violin to start up inspire again...

Pavanna Alazario |

The Small short-bow was because AFAICT, none of the PCs (save Saroune) brought a ranged weapon to the Festival, and swiping a goblin’s shortbow was the best way to give that option to someone. Pavanna’s got her hands full with sword-and-board and is thinking of herself as a melee fighter at the moment, while Horatio’s nominally proficient with a shortbow and had his hands more-or-less free when the thought of archery occurred to her.
Of course, if Ronnie thinks Inspire Courage is the better use of Horatio’s time and actions, it’s not my place to argue the toss. That’s why Pavanna said ‘when you get the chance’ — if Horatio needed to restart performing/IC, he could start shooting in later rounds (if he chose); if he still had IC up and running, he could shoot ‘now’ (again, if he chose).
That said, if IC was still running when Thirzin and Pavanna made their attacks, that means Thirzin hit his target a little surer and harder, and Pavanna... still whiffed like a Chicago Cub in playoffs season. :'(

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

Because Horatio didn't bring most of his gear to the festival - just his rapier, violin, and cash. He's not one of these hardened warrior-types, after all; he's just there to busk and soak up the atmosphere. And he's learned the hard way that Pavanna gets snapppy when he tries to melee. Hence, using a shortbow that will probably snap like a twig. :P
Horatio blinks in amazement at the display unfolding before him. "This is... oddly reminiscent of something," he mutters. "I think I saw it once in a fever dream." He waves his hand again, shaking his head, and his music, fading just a moment before, swells again.
That done, he raises the goblin shortbow, grimacing as he does so, and takes aim at Krosk. Thank you, good sir, for an image I'll never be able to forget.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 1 - 2 = 17 +1 attack bonus, +1 inspire, -2 inappropriately-sized weapon.
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Free action to continue performance (3 rounds used, 4 rounds left), move action to move up, standard action to shoot.

Pavanna Alazario |

The snappishness was more that he ignored her guidance, which was intended to keep a less-protected comrade out of harm’s way. He’s shown he can hold his own with a blade, and she takes that on board, but until he finds better armour and/or a shield, in her mind she’s his ‘shield’ and it’s her responsibility to keep him from dying. :P

Horatio A Aldebrandt |

And it all makes perfect sense to you and me. But Pavanna's got the poor lad all flustered and confused. :P

Asuriel Arktaros |

Asuriel watches the goblin dog run off and turns to survey the nobleman to see if he is injured. All around her strange syllables and sounds fill the air and muddle her mind as she understands none of it. Asuriel glances to nobleman as he begins speaking, Taldane she's sure, but she is unable to comprehend whatever it is he's saying.
Most likely thanking us I presume.
The sounds begin to shift, pitches bending in her mind as Taldane once more comes back into focus. Asuriel places a hand to her temple and closes her eyes for a moment as her mind readjusts to the common tongue. From behind her a female speaking Taldane snaps into comprehension.
...protecting the innocent always comes before sparing the guilty. If she wanted a live prisoner, she should have taken one herself.
Asuriel stiffens, realizing that it was her that was most likely being talked about. She starts to turn to face the tiefling and is getting ready to respond to her when the nobleman screams and people point north towards the gate.
A band of goblins come bursting through and a shiver shoots through her body causing her to twitch briefly. She shakes it off as the assumed leader of the group beins to speak nonsense. Asuriel assumes he is making threats or demands until... he rips his pants and his fellow goblins follow suit.
What in the--
"Брн мене ..."
The tiefling shoots a set of instructions at Asuriel. She sees the wisdom in her plan and chooses not to reply. She moves alongside of the two men when suddenly the mage cuts in front of her, blocking her path to the front line. Asuriel raises her scimitar, side steps Sarounne, and moves back into formation as she slashes Goblin #6.
Asuriel singles Krosk out as the leader and blames him for this onslaught. With fire burning deep in her dark eyes, she stares him down and slows her breathing. She stands tall and raises her scimitar high above her head, towering over the goblins and the other females in her party and of nearly equal height to Olivius. Pointing her scimitar at Krosk she speaks in a firm voice that carries through the ranks of goblins.
«Толку долго како што сонцето опстојува, ќе истраеме! Сте направиле една грешка тука овој ден и јас ветија дека власта твоја завршува овој ден! Од светлината, ќе го видите тоа!»
When done speaking she slams her scimitar down into the neck of Goblin #6, all but sending him to the ground.
Attack+IC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Demoralize Krosk: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Move: Move to I7
Attack: Attack Goblin #6 for 5
Swift: Demoralize Krosk (Omen)
EDIT: Messed up my Demoralize roll. It should have been +13 since I'm a size larger, so add three more to that.

Noro Kas |

Asuriel... Demoralize is a standard action cannot attack and dmoralize in the same round. wish you could though
Noro is dumbfounded at the sight. though there are goblins in the way before reaching this goblin leader. what does worry her is weather or not it is wise to bare handed fight him.
but what does it matter its a fight and she need to pound some goblin heads.
Noro in her blind rage rushes forward at the first goblin in her way.
she charges foward and with a leap her foot manages to smash right into the goblins face (flying front kick).
charge straight forward (to K-7) to smash goblin #8
attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 28 (+2 charge, +1 IC)
damage: 1d3 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 = 9

I like that trait... cool
