I need a map clarification. Does the door from G9 open onto or under the catwalk? I had assumed it was on the catwalk? But based on the position of the new zombies I now think it must be below. And I am posting early because I think I'll be away til Monday.

With his strength bolstered the barbarian increases his rage to a full all out rage and smashes into the undead, striking at the one in front of of him first and then the one to the north. He power attacks with both attacks

I guess we'll assume a delay for Melianthe to wait for Seren to dispel the veil.

Absinthe moves up, drawing her rapier and stabbing the nauseated cultist. He recoils, but is still unable to do much more than hold his stomach.

Rolth casts a spell, covering his hands in a blue-black aura. He moves up through the haze, stopping to stand on the walkway above the bloated zombies.

Seren dismisses the nauseating veil. Melianthe flies into the middle of the room and hexes Rolth.

Idea for Cherias: Either heal herself if she is down enough, or cast Protection from evil where she is at, then move and deliver it as a touch to Segang. Segang has posted his turn in advance already.


Cherias moves into the chamber, touching Segang with a protection spell. protection from evil

Segang lays into the bloated zombies, hitting two and causing each to explode upon impact. Chunks of diseased flesh, sinew and bone burst in all directions, hitting Segang as well as the nearby zombies and cultists.

Absinthe chases the cultist, stabbing, but her rapier deflects off the man's breastplate.

Rolth gestures as if reaching towards Segang. A ghostly hand projects forward, and as it brushes against Segang, he feels his vitality and will to fight being sapped away. Rolth grins madly, visably bolstered by Segang's essence.

Seren casts a glob of acid at the nearest cultist. He misses over the man's head and the acid bolt disappears into the haze.

Unseen by friend and foe alike, Melianthe targets Rolth with the Slumber Hex, arching a brow. She continues to hover in the haze.

Melianthe casts a hex at the necromancer. The vile man's eyes roll back and he collapses into slumber.

Cherias draws some of the wounds off of Segang through his lifelink, then casts a healing spell upon himself.

Segang smashes the third bloat zombie, causing it to explode like the others. As gore rains, he barely pauses his assault, turning and slamming the near cultist as well.

The Urgathoan cultists finally gain control of their stomachs. The one closest to Segang holds up her scythe and calls out to her goddess, blasting those nearby in a miasma of negative energy.

DC 12 Will save for half.

Cultist A Will save: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 1 = 17

Damaged by the negative energy, Rolth's eyes snap open.

Absinthe's foe steps back into the mists, casting a heal upon himself.

The third charges back through the haze, succumbing to a battle rage. A fourth cultist re-emerges from the room to the east.

"You!" the Tiefling snarls and, hooves clattering and throwing up showers of gore, she charges the foul Necromancer.

"HEI FENG! THE CLEANSING STORM! THE ROARING THUNDER! THE BLAZE OF LIGHTNING! HEI FENG!" Absinthe shouts, her battlecry ringing from the walls and ceiling as she lashes out at the architect of so much woe and vileness.

Attack roll 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 (and Rolth takes a -4 to AC for being prone iirc). Damage roll 1d6 + 1 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 + (3, 5) = 14.
If Rolth tries to get up, Absinthe immediately goes for an AoO: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 for 1d6 + 1 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 + (5, 4) = 17 damage.


Evocative! But Rolth is up on the catwalk. You'd have to bull rush past the cultist, or jump up somehow.

Absinthe runs and leaps, catching the catwalk railing and flipping over to land beside Rolth. Using the momentum, she drives her rapier into the prone man's side. He growls as he gets to his feet, taking another wound in the process. He quickly retaliates, reaching for Absinthe with his glowing hand. She ducks back, avoiding the draining magic.

"What made everyone shudder like that?" she wonders to herself. "That slattern over there must be a cleric."

Seren holds, waiting for Rolth to attempt a spell. Melianthe casts another curse at the necromancer. He roars, calling out a litany of curses as he glances back-and-forth blindly.

Rolth Fort save: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 - 2 = 8

Cherias casts a heal upon himself again.

Cherias:

Back from my ski trip and getting back to normal.

Segang attempts to resist the effects of the negative channel and avoids most of the damage Segang and Cherias both take 2.

He then attacks the female cultist adjacent to him, gaining extra damage from his Witch Hunter ability.

If that drops the cultist he advances to stand next to Rolth.

Oh, I know. 5' step is only if he has to attack twice to drop the cultist. Otherwise he attacks and moves as far as he can move to get near Rolth. He is near the stairs to the catwalk.


Segang slams his earthbreaker into the chest of the cultist, killing her instantly. He then moves up the stairs, stopping behind Absinthe.

The other cultists return to combat. One steps out of the haze and summons a spiritual scythe to attack Segang. Another charges down the northern catwalk and assaults Seren directly.

Cultist A spiritual weapon vs Segang: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24; Force Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cultist C scythe vs Seren: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14; Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9

Melianthe sees the third cultist moves slowly through the haze, following the southern catwalk and eventually emerging behind Rolth.

Absinthe is up! Rolth is standing but blinded, for sneak attack etc.

He will not draw an AoO from Absinthe, but Seren's readied action still applies, if you wish to draw your own AoO from the cultist. Let me know...

The two cultists manage to avert their eyes. Though they are still covered in the glitterdust, they avoid being dazzled by it.

"I have no idea what Rolth cast. Is he invisible?" Cherias calls out. He steps back from the near cultist, aiming and firing his crossbow point blank. The bolt hits home with a wet thunk, drawing a grunt of pain from the target.

Already on the catwalk, Segang advances past Absinthe to engage the cultist there.

After his attack he lets the rage fall from himself, using his Heard of the fields ability to not become fatigued.


Segang shoves past Absinthe and drops the cultists with a single, devastating strike. The two remaining continue to battle on, calling Urgathoa's name together. One slashes again at Seren, while the other closes on Cherias to attack. The force scythe continues to harry Segang.

Absinthe takes a leap from the catwalk, drops into a roll, and bounces back to her hooves behind the cultist threatening Cherias. Without pause, she lunges, jabbing her rapier at the Urgathoa-worshipper's vulnerable areas.

"Does anyone have eyes on Rolth?" she calls out to the others.

The cultist falls to Absinthe's mortal strike. Seren jabs at the last remaining cultist, to little visible effect.

There is a thump from the room to the west, and Cherias and Absinthe see Rolth stumble blindly out of the southern doorway. Using the wall as guide, he makes his way towards the elevator.

Melianthe flies out of the room, biting her lip as she does so. I'm not an attacker... She buries the usual feelings of incompetence and tries a spell, aiming at the blinded Rolth.
