Yes, Magma. I have an account and I've built a campaign. Will send the link once I have all the proper stuff hidden. That way , you guys can check it out, build macros in advance if you'd like etc.
thanks

OK, gonna shoot for a Roll20 session this Sunday. I'll log on at 3:30 pm EDT with the intent to start by 4 pm EDT. It doesn't take terribly long to set up and I intend to have all your characters loaded prior to you getting there. I may miss some consumables and those sorts of things, so ensure you have a sheet or logon early and check your info.
You may wish to set up macros for perception, saves, attacks to make things go a bit quicker. It's really simple to figure out, we're talking junior high difficulty here, if that. The more time you can spend getting that done before we're all together, the more time we can focus on the game.
Let me know who's in and we'll see how things go this weekend.
I'll send the link out today or tomorrow and everyone's characters should be loaded and editable by any player (so just grab yours, please). Once we're all logged on together, I'll limit edit to each individual player so you don't accidentally move each other on the table top etc.
Not sure if we'll need Teamspeak until I test out the in system video/audio. I hope to do that today around 9 pm with whomever can join me.

Could i have a list of what everyone has spent. Thanks
I didn't hear back about the wands, but my total on the other forum is accurate, minus the boots which Sam can't craft, and my total for the cloak as he's not able to craft the +3 (9k total 4.5 cost). Let me know if you want me to sum it up again. I'm happy to calculate my own wealth too, I just need to know what the split was.

I'll do my best, but no promises. You may have noticed I don't post much on the weekends, and that is right in prime time for me with family time, naps, lunch, etc. I just worked nearly all of Mother's Day and left my wife to fend for herself, so it's going to be a hard sell :) Sorry guys.
If I absolutely can't make it, Kameron can run Nemoris for me and text me about major decisions, etc.

Wands, sorry ... meant to answer this. You can purchase wands from the temples up to 4th level from the cleric list. The Blue crater Academy likely has wizard arcane wands, but you have to be a member to get one.
So essentially, if the spells you want are on one of those lists, you can probably get them. If not, then no.

I have to be in Columbus on Sunday. I should be pack by 4pm - I'll let you know later in the week.
Epik |
Are we going to try Teamspeak or just use Roll20 chat?
DM Fflash |
Good session, yesterday, all. I'd like to continue to use Roll20 for maps etc, so I won't be sending links out to stuff any more. I'll just load it there.
Additionally, once I talk to the missus, I'd like to do a 2-2.5 hour session once a month on a Thursday night (I believe we settled on 9PM EDT earlier).
I've updated the NPCs and Slayer log and Sam should be getting a recap out today for everyone (I'll fill in the holes).
After that, we'll finish up the meeting with the Chisel in Redgorge and determine where you guys are headed next.
For those of you who left early, there are some images in your journals that should help fill in the holes that you missed along with Sam's synopsis.
Sam, I assume you're going to encapsulate the entire evening so it's documented here for future searches, but the most important bit will be the stuff that Nemoris & Epik missed.
Sama'el Val'varen |
I should get the summary up tonight.
In the mean time, we are in another town that you can buy magic items at, including wands that were not available in Cauldron, with a max price of 6k. So if anyone has any items they couldn't find before we have a about 12 hours before we are heading back out.

It was a good session. The program ran quite well for a free app. The game does run much different than the PBP, as far as the roleplaying. We sacrifice a little flavor there, but once we get into a routine maybe that will get better.
Thursday nights should be fine with me. The later times work better, because everyone will be in bed, and leave me the hell alone! :)
DM Fflash |
Part of that is me, and being rusty as a real time DM. Missing flavor descriptions a lot. Getting you last 2 guys on microphone will help too.
However, there was a lot more player to player dialogue and creative ideas. You guys are a lot more effective when you work together and listen to each other.
Nemoris |
Yeah, I really enjoyed it, was nice to hear some voices and it seemed like we really pulled together as a group! Thursday nights will be great for me too, as it's "my time" so I can play as late as everyone can stay up and be nearly 100% interruption free (basically unless I get too loud and wake up our baby!). :)

Recap
Day 1 Afternoon
Maavu called a town meeting to discuss the taxes and the towns issues.
He mentioned that Alek, (Jenya's friend) had issued a challenge to the lord mayor in the law of the old ways, (before the long long ago) but that the mayor had ignored it.
Then the town guard showed up like chumps...err champs, and in the process of trying to shut Maavu up, all the orcs got stabbed by what appeared to be Laughing Hand people and the mob roited
We saved the one member of the town guard that has been nice to us, Skylar Krewis, and while half of us did that, Maavu was attacked by a summoned Breath Drinker, a fairly powerful summon and we are not sure who did that, Nemoris put the things down for around 4 miles away.
Maavu thanked us for saving his life and invited us to Redgorge if we wanted to do more to save the town.
More orcs showed up and opened fire on the crowd killing many citizens.
We stayed and helped break up the mob as much as we could and went back to our rooms beat up and exhausted.
Around 3am (I think) the warning bells started going off and Jenya informed us that it was a fire alarm.
We found that the inn that the orc guard were all staying in was on fire, and it was summoned huge fire elementals that were doing the damage. Again, a very high level summons, might have been the same person.
Magma killed one of the elementals and Nemoris killed the other. Magma and I then ran into the building to save a child. (Go team awesome)
We met Zarn Kyass "The Blue Duke", aka Huge Douche Canoe
Day 2
We went to see Lord Vhalantru, who talked out of the side of his mouth and really made me not trust anything he said, he may be dirty or just an a$$hole.
Then we went and met with an antique merchant, named, Sir Dingily Dan, (sorry can't find him on the NPC list) who Alek had been selling rare artifacts to and was considered a friend to him.
He showed us several of the pieces he had bought recently and one was a plate that had a map recently carved nto it, we purchased the piece, Epik and Nemoris agreed to cover the cost since they are both quitters and let the party down by leaving early. (Thanks guys!)
From there we rode to Redgorge to meet with Maavu.
Once there we went to the Redheaded Minors....whoops Miners Inn and there we met "Honest Minstrel" no seriously, that's his name, this adventure was written by a 6 year old girl.
We said the magic password, 'Mortar', don't remember the riddle sorry, and he then lead us downstairs, we let Nowzai lead because clearly he rolls the best and if there was a save needed, we trusted his ability to make it.
It was not a trap, and we met with 'The Foreman' seriously...did a 6 year old write this? He is the leader of a group called 'The Chisel' who has been trying to save Cauldron for a long time, it appears that they suck at it though as the town is clearly falling into worse and worse situations. (They may be the bad guys too, hell lets just kill them all and let God decide!)
They knew about Alek's challenge though they did not think it was a good idea and they think that he may be possessed, (The Lord Mayor also said that Alex's challenge was voided since they also heard rumors that he was possessed)
Up Next
We are now in town and planning on following the map that was on the plate that Alek sold the merchant and that Epik and Nemoris purchased. (Thank you again guys, seriously I would not have coughed up the 2k for it, you guys are team players)
Other people of note
Nidrama - Movanic Deva (Angel) that is supposedly protecting this area for a long time (not 100% sure she's doing her job, seriously, this whole region is going to hell in a handbag)
Nabthatoron - Glabrezu Demon General of Demonskar Armies (Bad guy, we really don't want to run into this guy)
Sama'el Val'varen |
I too enjoyed the game. Was great to get through that much content in one sitting.
It was also great to see that no matter what program is used, Dave can't roll for $hit ;)
Looking forward to getting on again on a Thursday and burning through more content.
Nemoris |
Tygot is the antique dealer's name. He is on the list near the top. Been a while since the party first met him.
Cool, thanks for the update K and Tike. Any more actual information from the talk with Lord V? I looked through the chat log, but only could see 1/4th of the conversation.
Rich, did we ever get an update gold total? I know I didn't spend too much, but I have no idea how much I have left (and I still need to add that to what I had left from the previous purchases).
Nowzai al'Nazari |
I thought the Roll20 session went great, and am looking forward to the next round! PbP is grand, but there's just something much more satisfying about the ebb and flow of a live game!
Nowzai's takeaway from the Lord V chat is basically 1 word: disappointment. If his heart is in the right place (as I hope it is), he's almost totally compromised/paralyzed by his station. If not, then he's playing us as pawns in some power game. Neither is a great scenario for us...
Epik |
Thanks for the recap Sam. Clearly Lord V cannot be trusted. He refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the half orcs brutally repressing the riots. He also was very evasive about the whole Alek situation. At best he is dangerously callous and insensitive to the City's fate. At worse, he is actively seeking to undermine the City.
Sama'el Val'varen |
I am in agreement with Nowzai and Epik.
Lord V came across to me as either just a noble a$+%!&& who doesn't really give a crap about anyone else or he is truly the power behind the mayor and may be the main villain in Cauldron.
He side stepped damn near all of our direct questions and honestly, just pissed me off, he's on my list ;)

5 June works for me.

I can make a ton of arrows too for really cheap, have a good 200 normal arrows on me currently, and 100 of the DR types. Just let me know what you want and I should be able to make it before we leave town (or even while we float down the river if someone else wants to row).
I work until 9:00pm on the 5th, so ~9:30 is the earliest I can make it if everything goes perfectly. I'll jump on as soon as I can though if that works for everyone else!
Nemoris |
The 5th should be fine for me as well.
You can make DR arrows as well?
Yeah, silver and cold iron for now pretty cheaply and quickly. In the 12 hours we've got I could kick out at least a few of each for anyone with a bow. I'll run the numbers fast and see what it turns out to be.
Crafting: 10 Silver, Alchemical: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Finishes in 3.95 hours, weekly check is 726sp (33 x 22 for double time) in value (12.964x2 silver an hour)
Total price 102.5sp/3 = 3.42gp
Crafting: 50 Cold Iron arrows 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30. Crafting roll is 660 value in a week, which works out to 2.12 (repeating of course) hours to finish.
Total price = 1.66g (also repeating)
I'll cover the 5 gold, anyone who wants some can have them!
