The Tribe of the Bleeding Fist see their prey and make preparations before attacking!

Jugag grabs a goblin bone and smacks it against his bow. The giant bones grow heavy, the gut-string tightens as the smoke stored inside the bone leaves and enters the bow.

The voice of Zagresh coughs and maggots spill from his lips. They burrow deep into the soil at his feet. Moments later,t he maggot spill out of the soil at the ogre's feet. He screams in horror as the maggots wriggle up his leg, sinking and burrow into his flesh, eating his strength.

Kern speaks, and Sezlerian's smoke covers him. It slowly spills into his flesh, swelling his bones and his mighty thews. The smoke clears, and Kern stans tall and powerful as an ogre!

Thoku roars as Arkhan calls lightning from the sky. The ogre, already weakened by the might of the Destroyer is no match. As lighting stabs his eyes and the smoke covers his head, the brute looses his water, muddying the soild with his shame.

Ozak takes the moment to rush forward,. brandishing Varg's sacred weapon! Soon, these giantkin will serve the Tribe!

initiative:

Arkhan Silvinesti: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Choot Othul: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Thoku Blood Drinker: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Ogres: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18

Jugag does not trust the old smokes of a blade found in a spirit-hoard. He will not trust it until it works. He draws a second bone and stabs himself in the arm with it to ready himself further. The bone pierces his arm, and, instead of blood, smoke pours from the wound. It billows up like the breath of a mighty dragon. Above his head, the smoke swirls and takes the form of a mighty warbird! Its fierce talons flash in the light of the Burning Angel and the plunges into the eyes of Jugag Mightythews! Blood flows freely from his ruined eyes, and the smoke-bird rushes in to fill the void. He fixes the ogres with smoke-filled gaze, and draws his bow. The great gutstring creaks and the bones bend with the force of his draw, his gaze and aim unerring. He knows when he releases, his war-rain shall fall swift and true!

Beside him, the Voice of Zagresh once more calls out to the Destroyer. Again, maggots spill from his mouth and burrow into the ground. Moments later they, again, burrow from the soil and into another ogre's foot. The brute grunts in pain and stares in stupid shock as the worms devour his fleah.

Enlarged, Kern Beast-brother hesitates for a moment to allow Grell and Razorbeak to position themselves favorably. "Flank."

Grell dashes directly through the ogre's legs, expertly avoiding a wicked blow from the tree the brute swings as a club. Then, Razorbeak takes a wide berth around to end up behind the ogre as well. The brute turns around to swipe them with his tree, exposing his back to the Beast-brother. Dead-Eye, filled with Sezelrian's smoke, and mighty with its workings, swings his great bone-beak in a powerful arc. He catches the ogre in the stomach and pulls free, spilling the giant's life-water upon the ground. He takes a swing at Dead-Eye, but his life as churned the soil to mud, and his foot slips, throwing off his aim. Instead, the tree crashes down into the muck, splattering Kern in blood-soaked soil

The other two ogres swing their great trees at Ozak, but Daggertooth deftly sides steps the blow and returns a strike with Varg's Thorn! The blade cuts deep into the ogre's flesh, spilling its life upon the dirt in a violent spray that covers Ozak from head to toe in red. The sweet scent of copper fills the air. Daggertooth feels the blade catch in the giant's hide and then snap as the tip breaks off in the wound. He sees the tip wriggle and writhe, like a worm, burrowing through the brute's flesh, up its chest and neck, and then into its head. Blood trickles down from the ogre's nose and his limbs grow slack he stars at Ozak with blank, expectant eyes, drool dripping down his chin.

Ozak looks at the giant he just attacked.

Is the sword working? How do I tell? Do I have to say something?

Unsure about whether the ogre is now under his control, he doesn't want to injure it further in case is is now an ally. He steps to one side next to the other ogre, looks the ogre over carefully, and swings.

"Your turn, fatso!"

Arkahn makes a great Rull-noise to the Thunderer, stamping his feet and pounding metal on metal. Smoke rises from his lips and nose, forming a great black cloud above his head. His spit and sweat lift into the air, joining the cloud, and darkening it with their wet. He roars again, and the storm cloud rushes over to the unhurt ogre that Ozak attacked. Rull's own arrows strike at the brute's eyes, and the cloud covers his head, blinding him.

Behind Ozak, mighty Thoku roars like a great beast! He charges the ogre, claws digging great furrows into the ground, froth dripping form his sharp tusks! His great teeth dig into the brute's leg, and he pulls, ripping a chunk of flesh from the giant's leg and sending him to the ground. Meat and blood taste rich on the chief's tongue. .. what did these ogres ever do to you!? Huh!? they were there, minding their own business and you enslaved one and murderated 2 others

Jugag pulls back on his bow, the giant bones that form the limbs creak back with the force of his drag. The taut gut groans in protest as he pulls it back to his ear. He releases and the gut THRUMS with power as he gives flight to his arrow. The Rain-Maker's shaft flies true, running straight through the brute's neck. He clutches at his throat gasping dumb horror as he chokes on his own life gurgling from the wound. Then, the brute falls to the ground, dead.

At the same time, Kern and his beasts attack their prey once more. His double-headed bone-beak twirls in the air, carving great arcs from the sky. Then, he slams it home in the ogre's side as Grell and Razorbeak tear at the brute's flank. Between the three, the giant is shredded into pieces, collapsing to the earth as piles of bleeding steaming flesh.

The final ogre stares passively at Ozak as it watches its comrades fall.

He tries to pedal backwards, away from the meat, but his legs will not move. He struggles to lift his tree, no doubt to swat the things away. The thews of his arms tense, and his grip tightens about his club. His shoulders heave, but, despite his furious strength and struggles, he cannot move his limbs! The bits of his dead war band slither up his legs, coiling about him and leaving bloody trails as the work their way into his wounded hide. gonna give one more day and then move on

Choot narrows his eyes at the Ogre, "Indeed, a fair point Kern! We should cut out his tongue and simply have him point at the Orcs".

The mad druid cackles,

Yes. Yes, have it cut out its own tongue before we unleash the Storm!

Kern frowns at the idea that his suggestion would inspire such bloodlust, but has no better suggestion to silence the creature.

Choot sees Kern's frown and shakes his head, "No, you are right, that won't work either, what if they don't get the message.

Ah, I know, we should carve symbols of the God that Twisted Nail reveres into these corpses and chain them to this Ogre that he may drag them back to his masters sending a clear message! This way, even with his tongue cut out, the brute will show his Giant masters that Orcs have turned on them.

Quite a crafty idea Kern!"

Kern turns from the group, attempting to hide his shame at what is about to happen to the poor, dumb creature. Why must they do such things? he asks himself.

Just to reiterate, I'm loving this. Don't let Kern's disposition suggest otherwise. :)

So.. just to be clear, making the ogre cut out his own tongue, chaining corpses to it, and then commanding it to go back to the fort? It'll still be under your command, do you want it to do anything else?

"So we command the ogre to return and convince the other ogres that the orcs are rebelling? Then the ogres come forth and attack the Twisted Nail orcs?"

"Then we arrive to 'save' the orcs from the ogres and lead them to victory over the giants?"

"I don't mind letting the Twisted Nail bleed a bit. After all, they did get conquered by ogres. But our goal is to take the fort and increase the horde at the same time. How do we rally the orcs when the time is right?"

Do we have someone with good leadership skills? Or is intimidate all we got? Maybe among orcs, Intimidate is all you need...? :)

You can use your Fame Points to modify the rolls and win over the tribe, out of combat. Anything you do in combat can only be modified with spells, feats, and skill checks

That does sound like fun. We will want to ensure that the orcs response is swift, before anyone can interfere.
