I know not what it is; who knows if it speaks, and if it does, what language it speaks.
You hear chattering occasionally, but it is no language any of you recognize if the sounds are indeed speaking.
The creature has a pumpkin for a head
Hearing the description, Tamayra seems to recall some bit of detail about such a creature.
[b]"That creature may contain the object we seek. They're called Gourd Leshys and they have a bizarre habit of popping off thier heads and hiding small objects inside."[/v] Tamayra says shaking her head.
"Where did you learn about such creatures?"
Well then, why don't we just ask it? Jenya says. I am not a diplomatic person but I will if no one else wishes to
With that information Jenya mimes taking off her head to the creature.
The hand motions Jenya makes to indicate that the creature should remove its head are, at the least amusing if not effective. Though the creature looks on curiously from cover, it does not approach. As it chitters away the vines begin to rustle, several leaves seem to be quickly moving through the vines.
Initiative:
Round One: Jenya, Tamayra, and Aak now acting.
"So much for diplomacy," Tamayra mutters, quickly whipping her musket up into position and sending a shot hurtling towards the gourd leshy.
Following Tamayra's lead Jenya fires at the closest approaching leaf
The gourd leshy explodes, a small object is seen momentarily as it falls into the thick vines. Although the closest leaf splits into small bits, a couple others continue to approach - throwing small seedpods toward Jenya..
, . The seedpod bursts loudly as it hits Jenya
Round One: Reynold now acting.
Iron Sprocket Readies an action to attack anything that comes near him.
With the only seeming threat gone, Iron sprocket prepares to strike anything else that seems threatening.
The two leaf figures, now clearly visible among the flattened vines are joined by a pair of mushroom like figures. Though the vines continue to shift, nothing else reveals itself.
Round Two: Jenya and Tamayra now acting
Init track: Jenya, Tamayra, Fugus Lesh 1 & 2, Aak, Leaf Lesh 2 & 3, & Rheynold
Standing her ground, Tamayra targets one of the leaf figures, noting their ability to attack at range and reloading right after the shot is fired.
Judging the leafy attackers not very dangerous Jenya targets the closer of the new fungus enemies.
Only to have her pistol misfire
Misfire she calls out.
She uses her move action and some grit to clear the jam.
The leaf figure splinters into bits against Tamayra's onslaught. As Jenya misfires the two fungus creatures spew something toward Jenya and Tamayra.

Ah blinded.
Round Two: Rheynold now acting.
Round Three: Jenya and Tamayra now acting.
Jenya uses a swift action to reload her pistol with a paper cartridge moves forward until she sees a fungus creature and she fires.
Jenya easily makes her way forward, hitting and instantly killing gone of the fungus creatures.
Round Two: Rheynold's actions remaining.
Round Three: Tamayra now acting.
Now that they've attempted to harm him, Iron Sprocket moves forward and attacks one of the creatures.
The creature is shredded into pieces as the spikes of the morningstar ram into it. Clearly out matched, the remaining creature seems to vanish into the overgrown leaves.
Jenya cruses as she wipes the fungus out of her eyes until she can see clearly again.
There was something dropped by that Gourd Leshy creature Jenya looks around the area where the Leshy died to see if she can spot it.
Walking over to where the Gourd Keshy was when she shot it, Tamayra looks for the object that was stored in it's head.

Handing Jenya her waterskin, Tamayra moves to where she believes the object was tossed.
Jenya thanks Tamayra for the water and splashes her face with it to clear the fungus.
She starts looking at the patch just next to Tamayra to see if she can find what Tamayra is looking for.
Jenya picks up the gleaming object and examines it.
Though a bit dirty, the blade Jenya holds in her hand is clearly a finely crafted dagger. The weapon gleams a glossy green in the red light of the lava fired crystal in the center of the garden.
