Asok frowns at Mikka's comment. He grips the haft of his flail and rattles the chain. "I can give you a taste of that life, Mikkah, if you like." he says, turning his head to glare at the man, glancing at Halloran in the process to give him a small sample as well. Asok's eyes are an inhuman orange and red, and his nostrils flare. His teeth are bared and he gives a low growl.
"I can't choose a different life now." he says. "That magic's beyond you, Halloran." To Mikka he says, "If you threw away your advantage, you're an even bigger fool." The Half-Orc snorts and begins to lead Brand ahead, away from Mikka and Halloran, saying as he goes. "Best I can hope for, for the future, is to do what I can to make choices more to my benefit, and to make those who wronged me pay."
she replies to Asok's words
"Be careful on that as Vengeance begets Vengeance.
You may think your an angel when doing so,
but in reality are getting closer to becoming a demon."
Asok chuckles. "I am no angel. I have no delusions about that, believe me."
Elaine say "I have heard a few refrences to magic that can make you come back into a new body but it is beyond my ability right now"
Mikka grins at Asok. "You are still hauling those chains around, aren't you? Not the ones you can see, but you keep yourself shackled none the less. And no, choice didn't have much to do with it. When the heir gets married and produces his own heirs, the spare is no longer needed. And as my darling brother was, well, darling, I got the 'Son, we love you but you're disinherited; get out' speech."
Silstaren frowns affectedly, "Despite your pleasingly effervescent personality. How odd."
He smiles quickly hoping to neutralize any serious insult.
Mikka shrugs. "Life is what it is. My brother is a good man; I am not. He makes a better heir than I. I make a better roving semi-bandit in a nation of bandits. Perhaps one day I will be a better man. But not today." Mikka smiles back at Silstaren.
"Perhaps tomorrow we will all be better men, excepting of course our fair companions Alkaid and Elaine."
Elaine says "To always be better tommorow is a worthwhile goal." and then she lets out a little smile.
To tommorrow then Halloran says raising his hand in a mock toast, at least until we run out of tommorrows, that is.
Silstaren sidesteps his roan until he is facing the group and raises his hand similarly to Halloran, "To many, many tomorrows."
Halloran rides forward to "clink" glasses with Silstaren, pretends to "drink" his toast, then tosses his "glass" over his shoulder.
Tommorrow is tommorrow, but we're still in today, Halloran having made his grand gesture, returns to riding in the direction they were going.
"As some one once said Time will tell, sooner of later Time will tell."
Silstaren saws Duneah's head around and rides after Halloran.
Elaine pays close attention looking for any details in the surronding area.

"Hey guys. I think I just failed a Perception check.." Mikka says as he pulls a bloody spear from his side.

The whole group is so into talking that they fail to notice goblins mooning and farting at the group as it passes.
Those that rolled 10 or high notice the smell.
with a disgusted face.
"Who cut a large load of limburger cheese?"
"Oh it's just some mooning, farting goblins, and Oh crap one's trying to light a torch."
Actions
Hearing Alkaid's exclamation from the front of the group, he wheels Brand around and gets his shortbow ready. "Are they attacking, Alkaid?" he asks, eyes narrowed as he looks in the direction she indicates.

Mikka attempts to intimidate the goblins!
Mikka wheels his horse around, scowling at the goblins. He leans over in the saddle, staring deeply at the goblins, specifically the one trying to light the torch. "Before you try that, ponder this: I ride this horse. This beast does as I bid. How terrible must I be to command such respect from a monster?"
Waiting on others actions
Silstaren readies his shortbow and fits an arrow to the string.
Asok fits an arrow to the string of his shortbow and takes a shot at one of the Goblins.
Asok shots one goblin in the butt,
Halloran casts Mage Armor on himself.
Elaine will charge one of the and take a swing with her claw.

Mikka scares the goblin so well that it throws the flint at Mikka's steel chain shirt, and ignites the gas.
Three Goblins are burned to death
the other three are burned a bit.
Two of the survivors laugh at the others fate, and one attacks Alkaid and hits her with it's sword.
