You guys must have a mandate to create totally bonkers ancestries. Cuz you got skeletons, you got animated fireballs, autistic lobsters, gremlins with six arms. Does Piazo have a 'must create the most off the wall races' mandate? I'm just impressed at all these utterly bananas races you guys make.
I think this is the result of having gamers in charge of the company and not a bunch of corporate suits

Welcome to the Cantina!
Starfinder 1e had over 140 playable species; with that many, if you don't get strange, it's hard to make that many ancestries stand out from each other.

Speaking of SF1e, the ilthisarians ("multiheaded, serpentlike humanoids with forked tails instead of legs") were published back in the first Starfinder AP.
"Weird" and "cantina feel" should be pretty central (IMO) to a science fantasy game like Starfinder.

YoskiFan wrote:Conrasu are by the most WEIRDEST playable race.In Pathfinder, absolutely, but I dare say Starfinder has set the goal to one up them, what with the tiny vainglorious suns-with-a-face and fire-breathing crabfolk and four-eyed stony land-squid.
Pathfinder: We love weird.
Starfinder: We ALSO love weird, AND we put the weird thing IN SPACE!

Wait…which ancestries are…nuts? Like sapient, sentient nuts? All you’d need is some seeds, raisins, a bit of honey and you could walk into a Muesli…Bar.
I’ma make a Cashew Luminary. Now that is nuts!
*big puppy eyes at Paizo* Peanut leshy when?

I'm still waiting for the stellifera to be updated to SF2. Tiny psychic cuttlefish who use telekinesis to, in effect, make encounter suits out of water.
While I highly approve of all the Leshy talk, I must emphasize that this is the #1 species I want to see make the jump to Starfinder 2e.

I remember this from long, long time ago in the old D&D Basic,Advanced,Expert,Master,Immortal sets. There were hive mind swarms(Kinda like rat kings) that are thinking beings. So a swarm of rats who have higher IQ the more there are?(Can cause stealth problems if there are a lot of them.) smaller swarms can be split off but have less brain power.

I am committed to building my tree construct at some point. Thank you ancestries for being nuts.
You can use the arboreal sapling and apply the construct companion adjustments...
Speaking of which, arboreal PCs when? Talking about nuts (or fruits, depending the tree type).

I'm really looking forward to them too. They're a really cool ancestry, and SF2 has likely got more levers and knobs that can be pulled and twisted to make their water body something that you can get fun uses out of that doesn't also arbitrarily make them the literal strongest ancestry in the game.

They're also in PF1; "hivemind swarm" showed up as a template in the final bestiary.
