Hi, I have a question!

The PFS legal character options states that “Boons must still be purchased for uncommon and rare ancestries, regardless of a character’s origin.” Does this apply to heritages too?

For example, if I create a kobold character, do I need a boon to take the Heavenscribe or Mightyfall heritages?

Looking at the boons list itself I would say no. Any ancestry or heritage not listed in the boons section is available to all, though there might be some other restrictions such as origin

ONLY if we as PC’s get to go for a gloriously impromptu swim at some rich, local estate’s duck pond.

If my jackal rogue is getting into the duck pond it will be to eat the ducks, other wise who ever throws her in is getting their butt bit

So a question that isn't so much about the book but does tie into creating a character; do female perytons have antlers?

With my jackal rogue I am thinking of taking the nephilim heritage to better connect her to Lamashtu and represent how fat she is.

So another awakened animal question. I watched a video that did a break down on mechanics and one of the 1st level feats is called Tooth and Claw; so could you take a versatile heritage and then gain an animal attack from the feat?

Another awakened animal question; do you still get to choose an animal attack if you take a versatile heritage?

My first one will be a 52 lb jackal of Lamashtu scoundrel rogue with the beast master archetype and the bandit background named Reirei.

Other ideas include a cheetah investigator; an otter investigator with gunslinger archetype, duel wielding air repeaters; a leucrotta champion of Shelyn; a compsognathus witch with a rhamphorhynchus familiar; baryonyx barbarian; kangaroo monk

Interesting; didn't think there would be lore specific to awakened animals, and arcana is interesting, surprised it wasn't survival.

What are the attributes that awakened animals get?

Another question regarding awakened animals; what skills do they get for their lore feat (I assume they get one since every ancestry gets a lore feat right)

My first awakened animal is going to be a 52 lb jackal scoundrel rogue with beast master archetype

So with the awakened animals what are the heritage and what is the rarity

I wonder how this also effects society play; in other words will there be a scenario meta plot that ties into all of this?

What if the events of Rusthenge ties into this some how. I am just glad that Lamashtu wan't killed off, now my jackal rogue is a happy fat puppy.

Why can't it be May 22nd now?!?!?!?! #INeedsMyMerfolk

I agree. I need my awakened animals. I want to play my 52 lb jackal rogue.

I was not expecting full free choice of tiny to large! Finally, I can be a giant ground sloth.

Interesting about versatile heritages, though I'm wondering what in the Climbing Animal are basic benefits and what are specialized abilities? Do you get the lower-that-average speed and claws but not the limb speed?
For that matter…some fantasy creatures are defined as animals in pathfinder…can I be a pygmy Cave Worm?

I think there is going to be some type of action for the climbing heritage, because if you notice there is a "?" at the end

One thing to Consider... Lasmashtu might not be mentioned because perhaps she *Penned* these false prophecies... I feel like it could be significant that she was left out completely but it doesn't have to be that shes the one that dies.

I always was a little suspicious of that beast from Erastil's prophecy and the references to nightmares. I agree with this stance...

I'll take it one step further. These were all abandoned plans. Lamashtu is the killer. This wouldn't be the first god she killed, and honestly, it'd be nice to have her have some proper villain behavior.

Interesting concept of Lamashtu going into a more feral mode; I love it. Not to mention the idea of her devouring a whole god

A very cool prophecy to cap it off! I never quite settled on whether it was possible they'd be willing to kill Rovagug, but I suppose this settles that. But it's an interesting future this offers; he can be killed, he can be beaten. Even if doing so would be catastrophic for the Cage he inhabits.

A few of the gods haven't been mentioned at all in the prophecies thus far. Gozreh, Lamashtu and I think Calistria have so far been unmentioned. Though I don't think this has any bearing on anything. No mentions of Dark Tapestry stuff here either, which is what I was thinking based on the previous prophecy. Unless you count Rovagug himself as lovecraftian enough. Anyway, is it too insane of a theory that some of the non-core deities mentioned here might be in danger in War of Immortals? Apsu, Hanspur, Grandmother Spider, Hei Feng, Thamir. Though I seriously doubt they'd kill Hei Feng only a few months after the Tian Xia World Guide comes out, and even more so Grandmother Spider.

...And the prophecies end with my two favourite core 20 gods on the chopping block. John Paizo, I will pay you two whole dollarydoos if you kill literally anyone except Lamashtu. It can be all nine of the rest, I'm willing to do that. Now let's keep this hush-hush.

I concur. I don't want to see Lamashtu to die. I am also wondering about the fate of Venkelvore; both in terms of war of the immortals and the remaster.

I wonder what the other animal heritages will be. I can imagine one for flying animals, one for aquatic; but I wonder what option will be for a jackal or even a leucrotta-type character. Also wonder if a swallow whole heritage will be a thing.
Furthermore what of animals with more than one attack option.

I wonder what the rarities will be for the different ancestries.

Also how long after the book comes out will the ancestries be available for society play?

As I understand it, the exciting thing about the Wardens of Wildwood AP is that it will utilize aspects of the Rage of Elements, Monster Core, and Howl of the Wild rulebooks. At least, I expect players to use RoE and HotW to make new character concepts. The Marketing Team is still learning about it ourselves. We will showcase what the Editorial Team is making. It will make more sense to promote it now that Howl of the Wild has been revealed.

Makes sense for it to connect to Howl of the Wild. Season of Ghosts is connected to the Tien Xia books, Bloodlords was connected to Book of the Dead and Impossible Lands, so on and so forth. Most adventure paths seem to connect to books that come out around the same time

Also, how would an awakened animal with the half-elf/orc heritage work; just a thought that popped in my head

I am curious to see if awakened animals will be uncommon or rare and also if werecreature archetype will be common and standard

My kitsune druid is going to hate this island. He is going to spend most of his non-combat time in fox form, letting his opossum familiar speak on his behalf

Just played the 4th scenario today. Wondering what the humanoid weasel creatures were

My character idea is a morbidly obese maned wolf (+2 Con, Cha) cultist (+2 Cha, Con) of Lamashtu either an efreeti sorcerer (if awakened animals have the ability to talk to normal animals) or flame druid with sorcerer archetype (if not) with boosts to Con, Wis, Int, and Cha and focusing on bluff, diplomacy, and intimidation and fire magic.
