How would you go about capturing the spirit of Boxxo, the adventuring vending machine, from the popular anime, Reborn As a Vending Machine I Now Wander the Dungeon?
I'm thinking automaton alchemist archetyped into wandering chef, but wanted to hear some ideas from others before I put anything to paper.
You may want to consider the Prescient Planner and Prescient Consumable general feats, in addition to the Improvise Admixture, Efficient Alchemy, Alter Admixture, and Advanced Efficient Alchemy alchemist feats. Possibly the Improbable Elixirs alchemist feat as well, if you want to create/modify on the fly "potions" as elixirs.
If you want to branch out into gadgets (possibly appropriate for an automaton), then the multiclass inventor archetype (basic construct companion for an assistant, possibly) for Basic Breakthrough (Reverse Engineer), Advanced Breakthrough (Gadget Specialist), and Advanced Breakthrough (Ubiquitous Gadgets) is an idea. However, fitting it in might be a challenge.
I'd actually recommend Yaoguai over Automaton, as they can be objects as well and they can change shape which Boxxo does a lot too.
I'd suggest the dispenser PC to be tiny, so you can invoke the riding rules and literally have them be carried around by another PC. Maybe a small + large party member for the same effect.
Not too familiar w/ the reference, but a lot of magic can be flavored as dispensing buffs (via magical ___s) so that is also a real possibility.
