Where do the Noble Families live, exactly?

Curse of the Crimson Throne

Try not to include spoilers in the replies, I'm playing through CotCT right now!

We're working on making our own campaign map with notable locations to us, and while I can find a good amount of information out there no one seems to have pinned down *exactly* where the families live. My character has friends in the Jeggare, Leroung, and Endrin families that she visits so would be good to have a spot to pin them to. I'm guessing the first two in The Heights somewhere and the last in East Shore based on area descriptions, but does anything official list more specific coordinates?

The ultra-rich either live in the heights which is a large hill that leads up to the Academae, or they live in the southern parts of the heights nearby the elven quarter, opera house, and/or castle. Generally, there are other places as well, such as each of the great houses having a manor in their own districts (e.g. the Arkonas in Old Korvosa), and more minor nobility dotted throughout, but the majority of the well-to-do's are in the heights.

Yes, I assume in my post they're mostly in the Heights. I meant more like specific map locations. Like, I know there are lots of places that are given exact spots, included below in the link is an example. Have they ever been given a specific spot? Didn't want to decide where they were and later find out in the campaign one of them should be next door to the Acadamae for plot reasons or something!

Awesome map on reddit

Not really it's only the Great Houses that have specified manors and even then that's just for their heads, not their entire extended family.

Are the players deciding where the nobles live?
Sorry, I'm confused... you're a player in the game but you get to decide where they live based off of "Didn't want to decide where they were and later find out in the campaign"... why not ask your GM where the NPCs live instead of random people on the internet?

I have spoken with my DM about it, he's the one who said I could pick somewhere. I was just being absolutely sure the locations didn't turn up in another book he might not have before making my choice.

I am looking for where the Great Houses are said to live. Exactly that, please.

Ahhhh... okay.

In that case, I vote you put them wherever you want and if it messes something up later* that's on the GM to adjust for cause they wanted you to be able to add what you wanted to the world.

*for the record, I don't think there's really anywhere you could put the houses that would cause a problem so don't stress about it and have fun.

Thank you, that's great to know!

Took some digging but the only one we know of exactly are House Arkona (which is the big palace/gated manor on the northern most island), and House Larounge which is only a small distance from the University of Korvosa. Even that second one is not super specific, but your gm can source a map of the university's location in the Guide to Korvosa page 16.

Beyond that, just make sure each house is in the correct district and make it up as you wish.

Jeggare in East Shore, Ornelos in the Heights (specifically the Academae), and Zenderholm in Midland.

Thank you!

We ended up putting the Endrin house in East Shore with the other military families.

The Jeggare are described as one of the wealthiest + one of the founding families, so we put them in Citadel Crest/Heights based on the description "Citadel Crest, the wealthiest ward in Korvosa, is home to the city’s most prominent noble families"

The Leroung we did indeed place near the University!

We didn't place the others as our characters have no reason at the moment to need to visit them, but will absolutely keep your suggestions on hand if it comes up to save us time.
