I made a Gear Handout for all the strange equipment in this scenario and I included a bonus handout of the partial letter which the party is supposed to find (but for which we had no handout.)

All in all, I liked this one. Mike Bramnik captured the personalities of the Pathfinder Leadership as more fully themselves than we have seen in ages. The lab was appropriately creepy, and the story is great. As a bonus, it runs fast. My party of five got through in four hours. Not bad at all!

Plus, I loved all the PF1 callbacks. This one was a pleasure to run.

Hmm

No spoilers, but Mike ran that table for us and my character died.

You died, but did you keep your head before then? Inquiring minds want to know.

Major PFS1 spoilers below. You've been warned.

A brief history of a certain numerical NPC:

322 is an Elven Dark Tapestry Oracle.

Eventually she met a mysterious Owl Mask wearing figure called the Professor.

The professor helped her manifest additional powers and connect with the void more but 322 lost their name as part of it.

Repeatedly she fled but every time she came back.

In 6-98 Serpent's Rise, 322 is a playable character. In this special everybody plays an Aspis agent. You infiltrate the Grand Lodge and assassinate Aram Zey, Master of Scrolls and capture his soul in a Lantern.

In 7-09 The Blakros Connection you investigate the Lantern that is of course missing from the Blakros museum that has Aram Zey's soul.

The investigation leads to a secret floor of the Forae Logos library.

There you learn that 322 entered the library, and was chased by Aspis agents. PCs can learn about the lantern and that 322 used the Libram of Forgotten Dreams to enter the Dimensions of Dreams and begin work on a ritual to follow. A brief trip into the Dimensions of Dreams reveals much of the plot, but Asylnn's projection stops any further progress.

In 7-23 Abudcted in Aether PCs confirm that 322 absconded with the lantern instead of returning it to the Aspis and traded the lantern to Aslynn in return for an apprenticeship and entry into the Dimension of Dreams. Aslynn plans to auction Aram Zey's soul to the highest bidder.

With the ritual PCs enter the Dimensions of Dreams where they can meet 322 in the Veiled Bazaar in the Dimension of Dreams and learn a little about what Aslynn might want as Aslynn possesses her to communicate with the party.

“You want to save me? Will you take me away from all this? Please. Everyone who has ever claimed to have my best interests at heart has only used me. At least now it is a fair exchange.” - 322

Through 322 Asylnn reveals the soul has been stolen and sends you after the thieves and lets you keep the soul.

If somebody puts some effort into communicating with 322 you can get the following boon:

7-23 Boon wrote:
Acquainted with 322: You have reached out to the troubled elf 322, helping her begin to overcome her mistrust of the world she abandoned. Perhaps you or a fellow agent can help her further in future adventures, at which point this boon may have other applications.

In 7-98 Serpent's Ire 322 is mentioned in a report from a member of the secretive Aspis subgroup "Conference Z"

Report wrote:
Experiment #322: A report notes that this elf is of particular value due to her inherent connection to cosmic forces, which allowed researchers to begin experimentation immediately. Professor Kramolag took a special interest in the subject and ordered her moved from Slumbersun to the Wingless Rock facility for further training. Initial tests to assess whether the subject’s power is derived from a conventional deity such as Desna or a more esoteric force are inconclusive.

A "Conference Z" operation with particurally disturbing experiments is dismantled by the end.

In 10-15 Tapestry's Trial you meet 322 who has been sent by Aslynn and surveils the PCs as Asylnn's agent. However by now 322 has realized that Aslynn can't help her unravel the mystery of her background and powers and can be convinced by the PCs to betray Aslynn.

Before then though she has a memory of Hao-Jin that the Pathfinders need. They can either convince her to betray Aslynn or let her steal a helmet shaped box from the Grand Lodge (Presumably a Decemvirate Helm).

Possible Boons:

Boon wrote:
Executioner of 322 [Legacy]: You have granted 322 peace, of a sort. What consequences 322’s death may have, how Aslynn will react to her underling’s demise, and what plans 322 may have had for Skyreach are questions you may never know the answer to. (This boon may have benefits and effects for the Pathfinder Second Edition organized play campaign.)
Boon wrote:
Liberator of 322 [Legacy]: Whether you realized it or not, you have given 322 a chance at a fresh start and a new beginning where she can learn to master her powers free of outside influences. What 322 does next, and whether your actions on her behalf will ultimately be a bane or a benefit to the Society, only time will tell. (This boon may have benefits and effects for the Pathfinder Second Edition organized play campaign.)

On the reveal at the end of this scenario:
Glad to see the Society works so much like real life: they'd rather promote an outside recruit over people who have been already working in the organization for years :p
