So I just created my first wizard in PF2, I'm playing them tonight through the Second Confirmation, Love that for me. Made them in line with the Remaster, went with School of the Boundry, having a lot of fun with her.

Are there currently or will there be in the future restricted spells that will be on curated lists similar to the Esoteric Spellcaster boon? I'm fairly certain that all the spells I chose for Courtney my wizard are currently allowed, but I'm trying to plan for the future and I don't want to pay 40 AcP for an Esoteric Spellcaster if that spell is going to be in a future Remaster product that I won't need the boon.

Basically, is there a timetable that is being looked at to provide an updated list of spells for an updated Esoteric Spellcaster boon? Not looking for a hard street date or anything, I don't need time and date unless y'all already have that info locked in. Just a "Yeah, this is in the works" or "You won't really need to worry about that" or something else along those lines.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, wanna rephrase that?

As in - are you asking if there will be new spells in new books that are uncommon, but are allowed for PFS if you buy the esoteric spellcaster boon?
If yes, then I highly doubt you'll get any answers, as an answer would require giving a sneak peek about an upcoming new spell, and even if a blog post or similar would give a hint about new spells (like they did with the new cleric feats, for example), we won't know if the spells are allowed for PFS before the boon is added to the character options page, which would be on the street date typically.

If you're asking if any currently restricted spells will be added to the esoteric spellcaster boons, then that seems highly unlikely: options that have been tagged "Limited" for PFS are typically those that have been reserved for maybe chronicle boons or the like, while restricted tag is typically reserved for options that are troublesome in some way (like cannibalistic demon deities).

If a spell is restricted, we probably won't get access to it. if a spell is limited, it might appear through some other source. If a spell is just uncommon without either limited or restricted tag, it's probably either in the esoteric boon OR not available at all. (sort of shadow-banned: Not strictly called out as banned, but as it's uncommon and you can't get access without something specifically saying that you get access, it's as good as if it was actually banned)

If you're asking if a currently uncommon spell that is on an esoteric spellcaster boon would be reprinted in, say, CORE 2 as a Common Spell so that you'll avoid the need for the boon, then that seems unlikely as well: Uncommon stuff is typically uncommon for a reason, and for spell that's usually either a balance issue or a "this mechanic may break some scenarios or encounters" issue, like with teleport bypassing stuff or something like mindreading or detect evil revealing stuff you aren't supposed to know yet. I'm not sure if there are any examples about uncommon spells getting reprinted later as common spells, that seems unlikely.

In either case, esoteric spellcaster etc boons are typically added to the boon store around the same time the new book is added to the character options, so... Monster Core is on march 27th, probably doesn't contain any spells or at most just a few.
Howl of the wild is coming in May, Player Core 2 in July.
Pathfinder Lost Omens: Tian Xia World Guide is coming in April 24th, and Tian Xia character guide in august.

This is what I was asking, although I phrased it poorly... Thank you for the response!
