Nah, I'll stick to my 20-pt Rogue.
Those rolls are a bit OP.
But fairly rolled. Those kinds of rolls are rare, and fun. I see no issue. Keep in mind, at this point, baddies' difficulty ratings are on a sliding scale as far as I'm concerned.
That said, handle it as you see fit and feel comfortable.

Dorian 'Grey' |

I have been mulling over either Ranger or Wizard...
Yup much difference between the ideas.
I am enjoying the ol' school vibes.
If we were planning to get to higher levels, than definitely going Elf Ranger/Wizard/ Eldritch knight for some DragonLance vibes...lol.
EDIT
Ok. Building a PF1e character 20 point buy.
Elf Ranger 1
Str 13 (3)

I think my PF2e brain done did that right...lol.

Well, if we're talking about plans, I was thinking of an arcane Trickster. Seems appropriate for a gnomish prankster. ;)
1 - Male, 2 - Female: 1d2 ⇒ 1
1 - Elf, 2-3 - Half-Elf, 4-10 Human: 1d10 ⇒ 2
Looks on a scale of 1 to 10: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Okay, so the Asmodean priest Ping and her sisters ticked off is a smokin' hot half-elf pretty-boy. Good to know. :D

![]() |

Im just planning a simple Cleric of Sarenrae. She is small and working ro make herself into a confident priest and voice. But very supportive.
Lets see one more roll since mine was 12 average last time.
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 6) = 1413
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 1) = 1312
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 2) = 1210
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 5) = 1916
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) = 1514
stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 6) = 1514
Better will take em

The Ibbleting clan is a large one. Dozens of the gnomes are scattered throughout Varisia with more than a few setting up shops and studios in Magnimar, Kaer Maga, and Korvosa. Strangely for gnomes, everyone in the clan bears the marks of a draconic ancestor, a dragon of ice. Pale skin, silver-blue hair, artic blue eyes, and canine teeth that are closer to small fangs. Sorcery runs strong in their blood, as does a love of art, craftsmanship, and jokes of all kinds, especially practical ones.
It's that last that got Ping and her triplet sisters, Ting and Fling into so much trouble. They were in Korvosa visiting an uncle of theirs, one Dang Ibbleting, when an Asmodean Priest, Barbasiel of the Nine Lashes, came in and began bullying the poor gnome. While Dang accepted the abuse, his nieces weren't so read to roll over for the Asmodean church. Ping came up with the idea, but Ting and Fling ran with it. It took weeks of planning, and by the end of it, Fling had managed to craft the item they needed, a piece of parchment whose enchantment would only activate when Barbasiel read from it.
The day came, the anniversary of Aroden's death, when Barbasiel recited a grand proclamation written on the gimmicked parchment as Ping, Ting, and Fling watched with their Uncle Dang. Barely two sentences in, the magical trap sprung, leaving Barbasiel of the Nine Lashes standing skyclad for all to see his handsome and well muscled body. Enraged, the priest demanded the heads of the Ibbletings. Dang managed to get his nieces out on a ship bound for Taldor before he left for a clan holding in the Sanos Forest, offering up a prayer to Cayden Cailean for their safety as the ship left the docks.
The voyage was a miserable one for Ping and her sisters, marked by rough seas and rougher accommodations. The did arrive in Taldor intact, though, and traveled away from the cities and larger towns, having had their fill of self-important twicelings for a while. They eventually came to a small town on the Old Road. In need of coin and hearing worrisome rumors, some of which pique the always curious gnome's interest, she sought out the party being assembled to look for the missing adventurers.
Ping is a cheerful sort, always ready to help in her own way, and does not suffer bullies gladly. She's the sister that comes up with the big ideas and broad strokes of a plan.
She loves jokes of all kinds, but has a passion for pranks. She'll spend weeks coming up with the perfect idea before pitching it to her sisters. Needless to say, an Ibbleting prank war can last years.
Standing at a mighty three feet, two inches, Ping is small in stature. Her blue hair that shines like silver helps her stand out, if not stand tall, in a crowd. Her artic blue eyes are always dancing with delight or mischief. Being small and slender with a round face, most find Ping cute, even adorable, at least when she isn't trying to humble them with a prank or five.
She favors sturdy clothing with deep pockets to carry around notebooks, sketchbooks, pencils, brush cases, charcoal and anything else she can draw and paint with.
[spoiler=NPCs]
Ting Ibbleting - Ting is one of the two other triplet sisters born with Ping. She's a sculptor and plays the drums. While Ping is focused on the big picture, Ting focuses on the details, and her sharp mind has helped her and her two sisters pull off some incredible pranks in their young lives. She's quiet and prefers to watch rather than engage with people. but she's no less charming than her more vocal and boisterous sister when she speaks up.
Fling Ibbleting - Fling is the other of Ping's triplet sisters. She's a poet and a flautist, often playing with Ping and Ting on their travels. She helps keep her sisters on task when working on a project, keeping Ting from getting lost in the weeds and Ping from going off in a million directions at once. She takes a middle of the road approach to Ping's outgoing style and Ting's quieter observation, watching before finding a good moment to talk to those that she wishes to when they are alone or in a small group.
Dang Ibbleting - The Ibbleting Triplets' uncle, Dang has lived in Korvosa for close to a century. However, his dealings with the Church of Asmodeus and the growing corruption in the city have drained the poor gnome's good cheer, and his hair is noticeably less lustrous than that of even the eldest members of the Ibbleting clan. Many have been worried that he may be on the verge of undergoing the bleaching. After helping Ping, Ting, and Fling escape Korvosa via ship, his plan was to leave for the Sanos Forest and a clan holding there, but the three sisters have no idea if he made it safely.
Barbasiel of the Nine Lashes - A handsome priest on the rise through the ranks of the Asmodean clergy, his rise to power suffered a hiccup after Ping and her sisters caught him bullying their Uncle Dang. Determined to do something about it, they embarrassed him with a magical trap that left him nude in front of many of the most prominent and powerful people in Korvosa and the Asmodean church. He demanded the heads of all four Ibbletings, and given his embarrassment, will likely chase them over the whole length and breadth of Golarion until he has them or their owners bound up in chains to bring back for a proper punishment.

Lanliss Endarro |

Hello! This is Andostre's archer cleric of Desna. I've played this PC (although with worth stats and therefore slightly more foolish) in another core-only campaign, and he was a lot of fun. I've got his personality and play style pretty well established.
Eschewed by other elves for his extreme lack of ambition, Lanliss eventually found his way into the clergy of Desna. At least there, his guileless fascination with the world around him is appreciated to some degree. However, his lack of ambition has left him to his own devices, so he wanders the world aimlessly until something attracts his attention. He especially enjoys it when he's able to travel with other people, to see the world together.
He's a decent person, so he will help those who need it when he encounters them, but he doesn't like to stay in one place for long, his wanderlust drawing him back to the road.
I'll just add that I've been playing PbPs on this board and others for a while now, and I understand that it's a shared responsibility between the players and the GM to keep momentum going. I feel like I'm pretty laid back about things unless you cross me, and the game goes better when everyone is having a good time. I don't expect to have any trouble meeting the posting frequency mentioned in the first post.

Okay, I updated Brathas with the crazy stats. This could be fun.

Balthazar the Blind |

Alias for Balthazar the Blind, Jacob Trier’s wizard.
I’ve statted him out and have the basics of his personality and backstory roughed out. Will write everything up over the next couple of days.
He’s a diviner wizard, hoping to compensate for his failing eyesight through the power of divination magic.

Balthazar the Blind |

Further details about Balthazar. Stats added to profile.
--
Prolog:
“Useless!!”
Balthazar flung the heavy leatherbound tome away with disgust, scattering a stack of cryptic notes and knocking over a plate of half-eaten food. Startled, Archimedes retreated to the highest bookshelf with an annoyed hoot.
“Apologies, Archimedes, but it appears we have come to an impasse. I have read every single damned book in this library thrice over and there is not a single shred of additional knowledge to be gleaned. None!” he sighed with exasperation and uttered a telekinetic cantrip to return the dropped book to it’s proper shelf.
Pulling back the heavy curtains, he flinched as bright sunlight flooded into the library. Grasping for his spectacles, he blinked and let his frail eyes adjust to the sudden increase in illumination. Across the park outside, he imagined that he could barely make out the mausoleum where his parents lay alongside countless generations of his extended family.
Of course, the image of the ancestral tomb was only a figment of his memories, as the building itself was much too distant to be anything but a dark grey splotch among the green. Still, the reminder of his heritage and legacy added to the weight of the decision he had to make.
”I have made up my mind. I’m leaving. There are countless ruins and forgotten strongholds along the Old Road, where I might discover lore that can increase my mastery of the arcane arts. One thing is for certain, if I remain here, I will die as a blind and bitter hedge wizard.”
Archimedes glided down to perch on his shoulder to nuzzle his greying hair, issuing another hoot, this time laced with questioning concern.
”Oh, I know. I’m may not be quite as useless as I let on, but I realize that such an excursion is beyond my own abilities. I’ll seek out capable companions that might be persuaded to accompany me despite my obvious drawbacks.”
Balthazar grabbed his spellbook, a couple of scrolls and a vial of alchemist fire and added them to the pile of supplies he had begun to gather in the worn backpack he had dug out of a cellar cubbard.
”Who knows… a bit of air and a change of scenery might actually do me some good.”
--
All of his gear and clothes are of excellent quality, but worn and poorly maintained, as Balthazar mainly relies on a prestidigitation now and again to keep them clean. While travelling, he carries a quarterstaff, which he sometimes uses to orient himself when his ailing vision fails him.
His trusty familiar Archimedes, a large grey-brown Taldan Eagle-owl, is rarely far away, often riding on his shoulder or soaring above.
Intellectually sharp, Balthazar is able to absorb knowledge at an impressive level. His upbringing and years of study has instilled him with focus and discipline, but he is temperamental and frequently suffers from mood swings, wild outbursts and fits of depression.
His poor eyesight plays a significant role in this, as Balthazar is keenly aware of the limitations his disability entail. He longs to once more be able to look out over the wide swept Taldan landscape as he did in his youth, taking in the marvels of the world all at once. Instead, a genetic defect coupled with long hours spent reading by candlelight in a dark library has left him nearsighted to the degree that everything beyond a few hundred feet blurs into a chaotic tapestry of hazy shapes and colors.
When his moods are in balance, he is civilized and polite, and fairly pleasant company. His interests are centered around his own person, and he rarely cares about topics like politics or culture.
Balthazar is the only son of a minor Taldan noble family, whose title has long since been rendered meaningless in the chaos of civil war.
Growing up, he was the pride of his parents and dreamt of becoming a knight and take his place in the Taldan chivalry. But as he grew into adolescence, his eyes rapidly began to fail him.
A genetic defect, uncurable by divine magic, left him little recourse in terms of any martial profession. Instead, he turned to study, learning magic through numerous books and tutelage provided by his parents. As a twisted sign of self-loathing, he adopted the moniker Balthazar the Blind, a cruel nickname given by childhood peers long forgotten.
For more than forty years, he has led a solitary life, especially after his parents passed away. Political conflict stripped his family holdings to barely anything, and he now resides alone in a neglected and run-down manor house, with only a couple of elderly servants tending the grounds and his basic needs. While his estate provides him with a modest income, he is close to penniless and unable to fund further studies.
Having exhausted all means of advancing his mastery of magic on his own, he is left with an unappealing choice – either leave his family home in search of greater knowledge and practical experience or remain to live out the rest of his natural life as a bitter and reclusive hermit.
Balthazar is painfully aware of his physical limitations, but he is none the less determined to become an adventurer, destined to obtain greater power or die trying.
More than anything, Balthazar seeks to increase his mastery of magic, especially divination. He hopes to be able to compensate for his poor eyesight through arcane means.

Handsome, strong, brave, charming, and quick, Dandelion is almost too good to be true; his vanity does show that he is not perfect, at least. This long-time performer at Eagle’s Head is known as both a stage actor and as a musician; it is his goal in life to become the greatest flute-player of the dwarven people. He is proud of his skills and will gladly throw down with anybody who mocks his flute-playing. His family are longtime artists at the venue, both on the stage and in set construction.
In his acting career, Dandelion enjoys trying on different accents. He will occasionally do an exaggerated version of the nearly incomprehensible dialect that so many dwarves like to affect, but he is just as likely to pull out an accent from some other foreign land or culture. He can be hammy and over-the-top, sometimes as a way of lightening the mood when all seems dark.
For all that he loves being an entertainer, Dandelion is also a courageous warrior and a stalwart protector of the innocent. He could have become a paladin were he not so devoted to his flute-playing (Shelyn appreciates the arts, but her nearly-pacifist approach is not for him). Although he is not a member of the Lion Blades, he shows potential and may become one in time. For now, it is possible that they have sent him on this mission.

Dagny is a lithe young woman of 19 with pale yellow hair and pale blue eyes. Her clothes are well taken care of in shades of blue and white. These garments are under a dull gray steel scale mail with some scuffs, nicks and dents. It has clearly been refitted to her tiny frame. The helmet is in a similar state and is decorated wirh blue and white ribbons. These match her braided hair with blue and white ribbons in them. Most of her gear is travel worn but still in good repair. Dagnys shield is round and has a painted sun on it. Her weapons are second or more hand. The Morningstar clearly is made by goblin hands, the daggers are older with styles a decade out of date, the scimitar is probably the best blade with a small embellishment on the pommel of an etched Sarenrae in it. After that her hands are rough and often bare small cuts and burns. Her cooking gear is often well used tjough clean and maintained.
Though warm, humble and compassionate, she was taught spells are rescources, heal with tentitures and thread first ans spells second. Charge a small amout when you can unless its an emergency. She also learned to fight to protect not for vengence or the fun of it. Practice the art of swordfighting but remember a well spoken speech can turn rhe tide better than a blade can. Ans always make sure to promote Sarenrae positively

Glad to hear about this, Ivar has a passion for eating.

Yeah I figured Dagny was an "Adventurers apprentice" to her Master and his party. She is kind of a servant and motherly role. Also she is only 5 feet tall so...dwarves Gnomes and Halflings arent that much shorter then her.
Cookbook is an idea I had with her. In the background I am working on she did steal one at one time. A Halfling one. And was punished. She never felt so much shame and regret having her Master have to pay off the flogging and having to earn back the money doing dishes for the entire stay in that inn.
She also knows rudimentary maintenace and will on her waych probably mend and clean gear.

Dagny grew up the only child of Dagit in the thorp of Pea. Dagit owned the Inn and His Sister owned the Tavern. Aunt Elda was a mother figure to Dagny as well as her own 4 kids while Dagit acted as the father. Dagnys mother left shortly after she was born.
Dagnys mother is a mystery though she does know that she was a great cleric with healing, but after the town was threatened by bandits and nearly killed Dagit. She snapped and wiped out the bandits. She did not return but her father has a letter that explains it all. In fact he has 6, and maybe more. Dagny was never allowed to read them but she does know she is still alive and the letters often cause her father to cry in pain.
Dagny worked in her Fathers Kitchen. Much of her fundamentals learned from him and the halfling chef Monte. In fact it was her tutelage in cooking that helped led her to become a clerics apprentice.
At 8 Dagny became apprentice ro a half elf Cleric of Sarenrae Ferro Sunblossom. A handsome and roguish preist who took Dagny ad payment for a huge gambling debt Dagit had occured during the Adventuring group the Lucky Lads stay.
Foe rhe next nine years Dagny was his apprentice. She served Ferro often as a cook and chire girl, as well as eventually aidinf the rest of the eight man party. She lesrned to read and write Common, Elven and Halfling. She even slowly learned the ways of Sarenrae through the tutelage and enthusaism of Master Ferro.
Dagny heard Sarenrae at a young age, age 12 ans was ecstatic. This was ontop of her unique ability to stablize the dying with but a touch. Though Master Ferro told her the basics of Sarenrae and being a cleric, he also i stilled natural healing methods should be applied first then spells as they are rescources. He also told her to charge whe. She can for healing. Sarenraes teaches though tempered her to see that you shoukd heal all you can and seek to redeem others first. The parallel made Dagny forge her own ethics chatging those something. If not coins, ingridents, a meal or even a roof for the night. Though she still healed in emergency situations or for her companions.
Granted her time with rhe Lucky Lads wasnt withour hardship. Her first issue was once she stole a cookbook from a Taverns kitchen and the young girl was punished by working for the remander of the Groups stay, after Ferro paid the fine to avoid Dagny getting flogged. The second was around age 12 after hearing Sarenraes voice, she was left in an underground cavern by the Lads as they explored and hunted a deadly beast. She felr abandoned and alone in the dark. This instilled a primal fear that she carries to this day. Especially after having to kill a few tmrats bats and bugs.
Thankfully Dagny jas grown into a hearty traveller and compotent spellcaster who can read people well as she seeks to avoid being taken advantage of. Her gear was mostly salvaged and altered from the Lucky Lads adventures or bought with her share of rhe loot. She cherishes theae items as a reminder of the group and her master. Especially the well read and marked The Birth of Light and Truth, which she reads everyday.
At 17 she left the group becoming a full cleric after defeatinf some skeletons in a small crypt on her own. Thus Ferro gave her a scimitar, slapped her in the face to remind her she is to forgive and sent her on her way. So on that she left and became a simple caravan cook and healer for the last year seeking to learn how to get better at both. This lead her to travel the Old Road as she left the caravan to persue some strange word about a fruit, she just has to see and take notes on. Maybe just maybe she can find away to use it in a recipe

Hey GM Plastic Dragon, you've got several great characters placed by several great gamers, I think you'll be really pleased with whoever you select. Let me make it a little easier on you, I've gotten in the three other games I was applying to, which puts me at fifteen games. I'm going to drop out of this recruitment and make room for one of the other worthy applicants.
I wish you all good luck and good gaming, I'll try to be reading along :)
Sincerely sorry to see you go, RH, but 15 games?? I TOTALLY understand.
Maybe we'll rp together some time in the future.

You folks are great, it would be a pleasure to game with any of you.
it's not the number of games Dorian, it's the timing. I've played in 18 at one time, it's the commitment to starting a game out right. It always takes more effort in the beginning to learn the characters (yours and the other players), the GM's style and to set a pace everyone can handle. I don't want to fail giving each game the time and energy it deserve to get things started out on the right foot.
Maybe when things get going here, you'll need someone to jump it.
It could happen :)
edit: Here's hoping Trawets gets his wizard posted and I'll get to do one more list for you :)

Dorian 'Grey' |

Apologies, but I will need to remove myself from submissions.
After much consideration, I must admit that possibly adding another game is not fair to the newer games that I just started.
RH is right. (Please don't tell him I said that. There will be no living it down...lol.)
Thank you and have a fantastic ride!

Just like with RH, it's a shame to see you go, but I completely understand.
