Playtest General Discussion

What are you all thinking of using to playtest the game? I'm hoping to run PFS 01-24, "Lightning Strikes, Stars Fall," so that players can try out Level 7 PCs.

Curious to hear what everyone else is doing!

Scarab Sages

Current plan is to do a Slithering speedrun since it's a lot of varied combats in the 5-7 level range. If we have time, we might re-run chapter 2 of Night of the Gray Death for Level 17 playtesting.

I was planning a tiny one-month campaign consisting of Fistful of Flowers and A Few Flowers More, just to relax after a multiyear campaign. We scheduled Session Zero for today. So I asked if anyone wanted to join the playtest. We will have both an Animist leshy and an Exemplar leshy in the tiny campaign, along with barbarian, rogue, kineticist, psychic, and swashbuckler leshies. The characters will be level 2.

I played the playtest Thaumaturge in 2 PFS bounties.

The very short format helps test a few things in a small amount of time.

My wife is running PFS 1-03 (“Escape the Grave”) for our daughter and me this evening. I’ll dual-wield an animist (sage) and an exemplar, and our daughter will play an animist (channeled) and a second character - maybe another exemplar but probably one of the iconic pregens. We’re building the playtest characters to level 4.
