Business... worth it?

Hell's Vengeance

Silver Crusade

I'm playing an Asmodean Advocate cleric, so I use Profession (Barrister) For Bluff and Diplomacy. I'm interested in using the Alternate Profession Rule (Running a business) from Pathfinder Unchained.

I have to pay into maintaining my business based on my Ranks in Profession and size of my Business. But I only get to make an Income check once a month. So I might be making several business upgrades before a single check to earn gold.

I don't expect this AP to drag on for moths between plot beats, but if this AP moves quickly, I'd be paying a lot into my business between checks. I'm wondering if anyone can advise me if it's worth investing into for this AP.

Probably not, RAW, but...

... it might be fun if you work out a side plot with your DM, say... like... you start out with a minor claim on a forest, or small sheep farm, and you grow into this massive monopoly of hell-capitalism, decimating entire ecosystems and economies as your business transforms into an all-consuming leviathan.

So... yeah. Go for it. Flavor alone it would be fun.
