PFS 2e Purchasing Scrolls

1 person marked this as a favorite.

While in an adequate settlement, I can purchase "Any common equipment in sanctioned Pathfinder content with an item level less than or equal to your character’s level (minimum 2)." Does this mean that as a level 1 wizard, I can just purchase a scroll for any 1st-level common arcane spell?

Grand Lodge **

A first-level scrollis a first-level item, so absolutely.

If a spell is a legal option in org play and you have your access sorted out, it should be fine ^^ do you think about a particular spell?

Is the Lodge an adequate settlement?

I think it would be useful to buy situational spells so I don't get blindsided in combat for not already preparing them. At later levels, I might get Earthbind for my spellbook but some emergency scrolls if I don't have time to prepare it.

You can always learn new spells between sessions, and a lot of missions start in a settlement. Though if the briefing starts with "you are walking through the wilderness", you might be too late for shopping.

It very much depends on the setup, but shopping between sessions should almost always be fine.
