Saw a video featuring a dude who says he got to see The Flash (I think in a press screening), and he said it’s fairly decent, especially once they bring in Michael Keaton as Batman.
I probably still won’t see it in a theater. Primarily, once again, because of the run time.
Some times I wonder what it is that you can't spend 2 hours of your life (or even three) just to watch a movie...but whatever.

Interesting. I liked his work with It: Chapter 1 (still got to get around to seeing Chapter 2). I know he was brought in to The Flash (still too early to see if that’s going to be a big success).
Still, I’m mostly indifferent to the news, since the movie is DOA for me anyway. Unless I find out they actually kill The Abomination (aka Morrison’s greatest sin against comic book fans). Then I may watch it.
I wouldn't have thought of it, but I like Brosnahan for Lois a lot.
I'm meh but at least this can't be worse than some other reboots...
Love Rachel Brosnahan as a person, artist, and actor. She has the perfect spunk for Lois if she gets the right writing. Don't know Corenswet as well, but he has a good look and has been good in the things I've seen him in.
What I haven't seen talked about much in media is that Gunn and Safran seem to have retained Kristy Carlson as Casting Director. She worked on the DCEU casting and Watchmen and several other properties. I can't fault the casting of any of those.
Based on Gunn writing and Directing, and this cast, I'm excited about Superman, at least.
There is a lot of other heroes going to be in this Superman movie and I know a lot of folks have been saying it's a mistake to crowd the film like that but
What if they are doing the Public Enemy story; President Luthor Frames Superman for murder of Metallo and sets all these heroes to bring him in.
Gunn says these character fit the story so, what if they are who Superman has to fight while clearing his name.

Guy Gardner = most aggressive of the GLs
Mr. Terrific = Genius scientist and tactician
Metamorpho = can become Kryptonite
Hawkgirl = Nth metal weapon can hurt Superman

Considering that the movie has been described as Superman at the early part of his career, I'm thinking it's more going to be like Superman:Year One (have no clue if that's actually a comic storyline somewhere) but it doesn't fit with a Public Enemy/President Luthor storyline.

I saw an article stating that Nicholas Holt has been picked to play Lex Luthor in the upcoming Gunn Superman film.
I’m a bit iffy about that. Holt is a pretty damned good actor, I think. He plays super smart really well. And I think he can pull off sinister yet charming. However I see him as still too young. Especially if the rumor is true they’re running with the Luthor runs for President story. Holt isn’t even currently old enough to do that in real life. Though he’d probably be old enough by the time the movie came out.

I admit - I’m shocked they went with what seems a comic book accurate Jimmy. Maybe there is hope after all. It’s DC, though, so I remain cautiously pessimistic.
Seeing some talk about Bizzaro or Ultraman (but as a clone, cause multiverse is ruined for everyone these days) for the Superman movie. If so I think we are looking at a Superman is framed plot.
Which again leads me to the JL team is an Anti-Superman team trying to arrest him.
I will say that the casting make this movie seem way too busy with characters, especially for the launch of the new DCCU.
about on par with the Black Adam film I think. Which yeah was a few too many, you don't have time to give everyone the spotlight they deserve

First Look At David Corenswet In Costume As Superman Revealed
While I remain very cautiously pessimistic about most future superhero movies, I find some small glimmer of hope in this picture of the new Superman actor in the suit. They've got the red trunks again, which is cool. Very traditional.
That said, I'm not too thrilled with the entire cast. Lex is cool. And I like the guy they got for Mr. Terrific. But do they really need Hawk Girl and Guy Gardner?

I agree 100% - just give a good superman story, and save half the justice league for later. And while Lex is cool, can we get a Superman movie with someone else as the main villain? Brainiac, or whoever?
We pretty much get Lex, bad kryptonian, lex, lex, bad kryptonian, lex.
I agree, Joel. (I'm also tired of the Joker in Batman stories, but at least he's had some more variation.) Brainiac is a particularly good pick, especially given today's anxieties about AI.
Seeing some photos of Mr. Terrific going around and looks good. Not quite as buff as he is in the comics but other than that he looks pretty much perfect.
ok interesting, apparently people looking at some of the recent photos have spotted that Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl and Guy GL all have LordTech corporate logo on their uniforms.

Huge Booster Gold fan, and thought I was dreaming when I heard Gunn was interested in using him instead of one of dozens of higher profile DC characters.
My split-second reaction to the casting rumor was 'NOOooo!' but then I got that mouthbreather nonsense out of my system, remembered Nanjiani's role in Eternals, and thought, 'He kinda already has shown he can do this role, the superhero / celebrity.' And now I'm totally up for it!
I'd be utterly knocked out of the park if there was even a hint that Booster Gold isn't just some fame-seeking wannabe super-influencer with randomly high-tech for no reason, but actually does have some hinted-at-ties to the future and some secrets that could later relate the Legion.
Even just the ghost of a suggestion like his flight coming from a ring that the tech people can't figure out how it even works...
