Strength of Thousands, Looking for GM and group

Recruitment

The Exchange

Hello, I would be interested in a PbP for the Strength of Thousands and need someone who would be interested in GMing it and then a group to go with it. Anyone interested in doing this. sort of thing?

I'd be interested in playing.

I would LOVE to play in this.

The character I have in mind is an Inventor (Construct Innovation) with the Wizard multiclass archetype, with the dream of building her own golem.

As a little girl, Andra was used as an unwilling conduit for powerful magic and watched over by an awakened clay golem. She was rescued, but retains a natural aptitude for magic to this day and misses her mechanical protector. All grown up, she's ready to go off to study magic the right way at the Magaambya, and she's bringing the masterpiece of her studies - a (smaller) replica of her former guardian, powered by a fragment of the clay golem's shattered armor.

On the off chance a GM happens to show up, I've got an Inexorable Iron Magus (Wizard Multiclass) with the Sponsored by Village background that I put together not too long ago in case I got a chance to try this AP. He's got the talent to be a great mage, and absolutely no intention of learning magic. Too bad for him, it's not his choice.

The Exchange

To clarify, the character I have in mind is a cleric of Nethys.

If this got off the ground, I'd be very interested in rolling with a straight Wizard. My go to is usually a melee type martial, this AP seems particularly suited to allow me to play a caster, so I'd be glad to submit a character if this thread gets picked up.

If you do want to play a wizard, keep in mind that the way the free archetype for this AP works means you'll be given druid multiclass. So make sure not to dump wisdom!

Sounds like a solid party already...

This AP really seems like a unique experience and I'm hoping we all get a chance to play it!

I planned on concentrating on the Druid's animal companion feats, actually. Which brings up a good question, can you benefit from both a Familiar (Wizard) and an Animal Companion (Druid dedication)?

You definitely can, but you probably wouldn't want to command them both in combat.

The Exchange

Yep, we definitely have enough players, just need that GM. Looking forward to seeing this develop.

I have the first book but would need some prep work.

I think we would all appreciate that very much and I'm sure we can all be patient for any prep work that you'd need!

I'd be interested in joining in! I'm set on playing an Anadi, probably an Illusionist Wizard (and therefore taking the free Druid Dedication).

Definite interest...

Might have to swerve away from Illusionist Wizard, because I have just been informed a Trapper Spider Ranger would be incredibly cool.

Optimally It'd have to wait for just after this weekend. Very busy of course as I can be and need to familiarize myself with the AP.

I'd picking three, Orsen due to posting interest initially would be on automatically.

Standard set up for 1st lvl. Since this is a magical school I'll allow any race in the game from the books, same with classes. Everything else would be as suggested by the Player's Guide

Is that three including Orsen or three in addition to Orsen?

Three in addition.

Lot of ideas already, but I'll throw my hat in the ring with a gnoll barbarian looking to become a magic warrior.

Would LOVE to play this AP, didn't get picked for the last one.

Would play a sorcerer with an Air Elemental bloodline, proud worshiper of the recently freed Elemental Lord, Ranginori; will go all-in with the Wild Order so that he can Wild Shape into an elemental at 10th.

Planned progression will include all of the form control Class Feats (and really high STR) so that he can maintain his Wild Shapes, eventually forever.

I'll get to work on my Elven Wizard, likely going Ancient Elf, Druid Dedication, to get a jump on the Free Archetype model used in the AP. Planned Progression would be shifting towards Magaambyan Attendant and Halcyon Speaker as we progress, becoming a true Archmage.

I'm excited to put it together and submit the character, background and build.

Ok, I looked through it the whole day while at work (Slow day and the rains are customers off) I'll set up a thread and a discussion for me and Orsen if he allows?

Just let us know when you're ready for character posts, because I have a backstory typed up and ready to go!

Here it is. Orsen if you want to be in it let me know. You get seat 1 if you do.
