Changing horseshoes

Rules Questions

I have looked everywhere, but I cannot find the rule on changing horseshoes.

1 Do you need to find a harrier?
2 Does it cost anything?
3 How long does it take?
4 Does it matter if they are magical?
5 If so, can I change magical ones out quickly? Like a tactical horse reload?

Is this for PF1 or PF2?

I can only find one set of horseshoes for PF2, and for those, you "affix" them just like a talisman.

If this is for PF1, I can't honestly recall, but don't believe, you required any special ability to outfit Companions.

I am asking for PF1 There are horseshoes of a zephyr, horseshoes of speed, horsehoes of clobbering time or something like that to name a few.

I can't find any rulings on how long it takes, how often you can do it, or if there are any skills necessary.

Grand Lodge

Don't do it mid stream.

Horizon Hunters

Doing some quick research, it looks like people can re-shoe and clip horses between 20 to 60 minutes, depending on their experience. They need to be re-shoed every 4 to 6 weeks.

Unless something happens in the middle of a scenario that requires an emergency shoe replacement, it would be done during downtime and not really be an issue.

Also, a harrier probably wouldn't help you much.

Better seek out a farrier.
