Something else I really liked from PF2 was how magic staves work. I cannot recall ever seeing PCs using magic staves in PF1, probably because the gp value is so extreme that by the time PCs would likely get such a staff, it doesn't do enough to be worth the gold.
Staves are high-level items, so you won't usually see them much nefore level 10.
How are they not worth it after that though? They use your Save-DC,/Caster-Level/etc, so they're literally just bonus spell-slots.
Anyway I don't know how they do it in PF2, so I'd love to hear about it. Maybe it IS better and I'll be blown away!

Staves are awesome and there are cheap ones that still have strong value. I like being an Arcane Bond Wizard(Get the feat for free!) and crafting a nicer one though for half price.
A Staff of Fire for 18,950? Oof to the wallet. A Staff of Fire for 9,475 gp? Now that's pretty doable.
I wanna play a Staff Magus for this.
A Staff for 9,475gp?
How about a +3 weapon that also acts as a +3 Shield and a Staff, all for 9,475gp?

Not bad not bad, but I'd say that only gets really cool once you hit 10th level.
