Wabbit pushes forward, just barely getting in range of the Ogress with his enlarged waveblade. Though his attacks are incredibly powerful, the Ogress makes a guttural laugh as the pain only further enhances her rage. Furnok strides into the fray by attacking the bard, and stabs into the Ogre's shoulder. Cleo helps soothe Kemras' fear, while Aggah pelts the mage with more toothpicks, and Kemras unleashes a bout of fire from his mouth. The Ogress is slightly singed from the attack, but she rages on.

The Ogress leaps from her crouched position and pounces on top of Wabbit. She bites deep into his side, and with eager noises rips his flesh out with her teeth. She tries to hold onto him with her hands, but Wabbit is able to slip out of her grasp.
Wabbit takes 11 damage, Cleo takes 11 damage

The bardic Ogre plays a tune while stepping out of reach of Furnok. Furnok feels strange from hearing the music, but it doesn't seem to have any lasting effect. The mage continues to bleed, but he casts a spell that turns his hand into a slimy, decaying version of itself.

The two Ogress archers draw their bowstrings and loose an arrow each at Furnok. The first one is blocked by Furnok's armour, but the second gets through. Furnok takes 7 damage

Wabbits hp before the Ogress attack was 51hp. He had tumbled under the now dead Ogres attack with Dodging Panache. That was never corrected on the combat map After the Ogress bite Wabbits hp, thanks to CLeo's Shield Other are 40hp

Being diminuitive even for a halfling, Wabbit hates getting grappled. It reminds him of fights before he learned to harness his nimbleness with his blade.

Kemras steps shakily into melee range of the berserk ogress, thrusting his sword at her - despite his best efforts, however, the blow is not so powerful as he might like. Focus, Kemras! Fight through the fear - this isn't as bad as it could be... Despite his efforts, he can't quite believe it himself.

@Wabbit, I see there were two instances where you used dodging panache. The first time was against a crit that didn't confirm (which doesn't work), and the second one was a success. The damage and hitpoints don't quite add up, but I'm willing to go with your estimation of 40hp.

Wabbit hops onto the wild she-Ogre's leg and stabs her thrice. The Ogress is alive only by pure rage now. The stab from Kemras distracts her, but only produces some bleeding.

Furnok spikes the Ogre bard in the head twice, but amazingly he's not quite dead yet. Aggah looses two more tooth picks against the mage, turning him into a pincushion. Jakardros and Kaven add another toothpick each.

The she-Ogre bites at Wabbit again, easily overpowering his parry attempt, but not quite enough to really dig into flesh. Wabbit figures he's won, but suddenly he's grappled by her right hand. It would take some effort, but this Ogre could theoretically eat the hapless Wabbit.

The bard fighting Furnok sort of limps and sways his way out of Furnok's reach, doing a full retreat. The mage lets him go. His hand is still shriveled and covered in black, and he just hunkers down into a defensive stance. It does occur to Furnok that the mage's arms are comically short for his size. Four arrows suddenly fly over his head. Just as he's about to do something, a little crossbow bolt sticks out of an arrow-slit in the tower, and Furnok doesn't notice in time. Furnok feels a stinging pain in his back, which turns out to be a crossbow bolt.

Each square is 20 feet, so some guess-timation is required. Most male Ogres have a reach of 10ft, while the females have a reach of 5ft.

Okay, so... bless is 50 feet, squares are 20 feet. So why would the other's be out of range? Even if you went straight out 20 feet and down 20 feet for Furnok, he looks to be halfway in the block so would be in 50 feet then. Kemras as well. Wabbit is on the edge.

Kemras takes a deep breath and forces himself to move, dodging around the ogress to take up a flanking position with Furnok. "Wabbit, hang in there!" He calls, launching a quick thrust at the monstrous berserker's back.

Kemras reflexively stabs straight up into the Ogre's chest cavity, and runs the blade all the way through. She collapses and dies in seconds.

Furnok bashes the Ogre mage, causing him to lose the spell he was holding onto. Cleo and Aggah both rain toothpicks on him afterwards. Aggah's first shot misses, as does Kaven's shot.

Wabbit drops to the ground as the Ogress releases her grip in reaction to Kemras fatal stab. Thankful that he's not going to get the experience of flossing her teeth with his limbs, Wabbit searches out another target.

Seeing Furnok fighting the Ogre-mage makes Wabbits decision easy.
He rushes toward the Ogre-mage

Wabbit successfully climbs up the Ogre Mage's leg and stabs him on the way up.

The mage naturally stops bleeding from the hail of thorns Aggah and company have been raining down, but he has bigger problems to contend with. In a panic, the Ogre flexes his forearms, and suddenly bones erupt from his knuckles. He uses these sharp bones to slash wildly at Wabbit, and nearly succeeds, but Wabbit's small stature makes it too difficult to reach behind. He bellows in the giant tongue, which those who understand realize is a cry for help.

The archers both take aim to shoot Wabbit, but their arrows both miss their targets. One sticks into the Ogre Mage, but the other unintentionally clips Furnok. The bard continues to run away, while the two female Ogres with javelins and clubs get slightly closer.

The sweet polite introduction in Wabbit's beautiful Soprano singing voice I'm Wabbit by the way. sends waves of unaccustomed terror through the large foe. Size and Strength have been decisive advantages for this beast all it's evil life and the thought that this little halfling is a mortal danger to him is scary and downright unfair (not that Ogres have a developed sense of fairness).

The Ogre-mage shakes its body vigorously. But all that does is allow Wabbit to grab onto a long lock of it's hair and the power of that shaking while not enough to dislodge Wabbit....Is enough to whip the braid around from it's back full circle with Wabbit swinging like it's a Mwangi vine, his blade extended from his other hand slicing clean through its throat.

Furnok gets ready for a battle of archers, while Kemras starts moving to close the distance. Jakardros and Kaven both lob arrows at their enemies, but as usual it's only toothpicks.

Cleo notices a crossbow bolt impacts her shield, but she isn't sure where it's coming from.
The javelin throwers sink into a stance, before lobbing a javelin each. Kaven does have to dodge one of the throws, but he's still a long ways away from them. One of the archers bellows out something in Giant, before both of them lob a hail of arrows directly at Wabbit. With some lucky shots, Wabbit is unfortunately hit by three arrows, though that will not bring him low.
Wabbit takes 14 damage, and Cleo takes 13 damage.

I need to apologize. I had mentioned at the bottom of a previous post that Wabbits ac with Cats Grace +2 and Shield other +1=28. I had forgotten to update my status bar with the buffed ac. With ac28 Wabbit will have been hit by one arrow for 8dam. With Shield Other that means 4dam to Cleo and 4dam to Wabbit. Wabbits current hp=36. Again my apologies. I've updated the stat bar to reflect ac28

Wabbit's not normally the one calling for a tactical retreat. But there's such a thing as pushing even Chaldira's luck too far. We're not a ranged heavy group, even with as much as Aggah loves shooting her toothpicks. And that's a lot of open ground to cover to reach the archers and once we get there we'll be Faaarrrr away from our retreat tunnel and might get cut off in the open with no where to go. Wabbit's not a brilliant tactical mind, but even he doesn't like this situation. So in a very non-Chaldiran fashion he's gonna call for a retreat and likely hang his his in shame afterwards.

He yells so everyone can hear Retreat! Back to the tunnel!

Special: If you have 3 or more ranks in Acrobatics, you gain a +3 dodge bonus to AC when fighting defensively instead of the usual +2, and a +6 dodge bonus to AC when taking the total defense action instead of the usual +4.

Wabbit stares down the archers playing rear-guard ready to dodge any incoming fire while trying to present them with a tempting target, but not pulling his pants down and mooning them just yet. Waiting for Furnok and Kemras to get behind him before retreating himself.

Cleo looks at the crossbow bolt in her shield "There is someone..." she starts to point out but is interupted by her cousin's yell, not something is Unfamiliar with. Not in these circumstances though. "Oh... good idea." she hurries back into the tunnel. "Aggah! We'll fight the bad people again, come on."

Aggah can't help but send another arrow at the nearest creature, then follows with minimal grumbling.

Kemras looks startled, before pulling back as he sheathes his rapier and draws his shortbow. "Alright. Hopefully we won't get picked off by ranged fire."

I understand, Wabbit. Please try to include your AC (and CMD would be nice) after each post, since it varies so much.

Furnok unleashes two shots from his bow. The first shot isn't of much concern, but his second shot drives deep into the Ogre's chest. Aggah launches another toothpick before getting out of the way for the big folk. Cleo is running so quickly that she leaps over the entire grease puddle. Jakardros and Kaven back up a bit before shooting, and Jakardros' crossbow shot sinks deep into a javelin thrower's thigh. Kaven's shot is about on par with Aggah's.

Both Ogres continue to bleed, but they continue the fight nonetheless. The javelin throwers advance, and start throwing their spears at Wabbit. With Wabbit actively anticipating and dodging all missiles, he easily ducks and weaves around every spear and arrow.

Everything seems to be going according to plan, when everyone hears a shrill cry coming from the sky.

@Cleo, the secret door is right where the grease spell is. Your mini is placed right inside the door.

@Wabbit, Kemras is 20 feet away from the door. You're 40 feet away. Furnok is 40 feet away. And Bacon is 30 feet away. Don't forget that you have to clear the grease before getting through the doorway.

Kemras only:
It takes a moment to notice it, but something is falling from the levitating barge hundreds of feet up above the fort. A creature is falling down, down, down, straight towards Kemras. It will impact next turn.

Technically these are acrobatics checks, but I'm not hung up by it.

The group hastily retreat back into the secret room, with Wabbit sliding through the grease and slamming the door behind him. At that moment, there's the sound of someone screaming. It gets closer and closer, before a very loud POP! is heard. The sound of an Ogre yelling out is heard thereafter, but the screaming voice from earlier is no more.

Combat over. You can lock the door, but eventually the Ogres will figure it out. As I said earlier, a female Ogre could squeeze in with penalties, but a male Ogre would have a terrible time trying to get in.
