When an archetype replaces a class ability, does the new class ability interact with things in the same way as the old one?
For example, if I'm a Master of Many Styles, I get Fuse Style, which replaces Flurry of Blows. Wearing armor of any kind (or using a shield) makes Flurry of Blows unusable. Does wearing armor have the same effect on Fuse Style?
I asked about this in the Rules forum, and someone replied that wearing armor only affects Flurry of Blows, but before I try doing something like this in a PFS game, I was hoping to get confirmation on the PFS boards.

The thing that prevents monks from flurrying in armor is in the Armor and Shield Proficiency section. So any Monk archetype that replaces the Armor and Shield Proficiencies, or any ability that replaces Flurry of Blows, would no longer be constrained by the verbiage about not flurrying in armor.
For this reason, Fuse Style wouldn't be constrained by armor as it isn't one of the ability listed as being lost while wearing armor.
On a related note, a Sohei can Flurry in armor because that archetype replaces the Monk Armor and Shield Proficiencies with text that lacks the clause about not flurrying in armor.

There's a precedent for this kind of thing.
The archaeologist archetype for bard (from Ultimate Combat) specifically says Archaeologist's Luck is treated as a Bardic Performance for certain effects, such as where spells require a bardic performance to be active.
I'd say the same thing applies here - it's only applicable to Fuse Style if Fuse Style specifically mentions something about it.
