Started in on early access for a game called Valheim. Viking survival and small group coop adventuring.
Basically you died and got dropped into a new world. If you want to get into Valhalla, you have to bring down Odin's enemies in this world. unfortunately you don't get a lot of help on this quest. You don't even start with pants
For an early access game it's been running pretty well so far. I'm up to day 5 now. nearly died from a tree falling on me. Nearly died when I set myself on fire sitting too close to the campfire, built some basic tools out of rocks and branches. Built a basic hut to live in and finally on day 5, pants.
So far it's been fun trying to talk some of my friends into joining me

I'm glad you're enjoying Pantsquest.
Can it be played solo, or do you need to do co-op to advance in the game?
Solo is working pretty good so far. although I nearly died of smoke inhalation when I tried to make a house with a fire pit inside. Chimney is important. I think I am at day 15 now. Trying to get enough leather to make a bow but the Boars are avoiding me. Combat wise I seem to be able to handle most anything it's thrown at me but that could change. The thing that is the greatest threat to my life is my own ignorance but I'm learning.
Always chop trees from uphill
find warmth and shelter when it gets dark
don't stand too close to fire
make a chimney
remember to eat
being wet and cold is a bad combination

So several of my friends have joined me and the game is much more fun with other people.
We discovered a Dungeon today. Thought it would be a good idea to build a base near it so Corpse runs would be short.
The Greylings who live in the forest....disapproved of this plan.
For three days and nights they assailed us in numbers I had never seen before. With poison spitting shamen leading the charge. I desperately trying to build something that qualifies enough as a house to have 4 beds in it, while my friends fight them off and bring me wood for building.
Come morning their numbers would thin, waiting for night to return, while we dash to the dungeon and back.
We did manage to clear the dungeon out but abandoned the base for lost as they ripped it down while we ran back to our tiny village of Lossvar.

We have built a mighty fortress on the cliffs above the Black forest. Here we smelt the Copper and Tin into Bronze. I am bedecked now in shinny metal and my bronze Axe and Shield ready to hold the line. I can stand up to around 4 blows from a troll now. My friends have chosen to wear Troll leathers instead, for their increase to stealth. Soon we will slay the Eldest
We collect honey from the Bees and the farms grow crops. We are still tying to tame some Boars. We set up some spiked barriers to hold back the greylings and each morning I repair them and collect the Resin I find on the ground. Little buggers don't know when to quit. We don't leave the fort at night though. Wolves come down from the mountains at night and honestly, they are more dangerous than Trolls.

We're in the Plains now, fighting a war against the local Goblins.
Built ourselves a fort, raided a few of their villages.
Then the little buggers used torches to drive a herd of Nox (think Dire-Bison) into a stampede right through our fort.
There isn't much left of it so we have abandoned the current effort and gone back to our main castle.
