Spellguard Blade and Twin Parry

Rules Discussion

So as written, the Spellguard Blade does absolutely nothing for anyone who uses Twin Parry, which means it's weirdly ineffective to anyone with it instead of a standard main-gauche. Should it work with Twin Parry (or any other future feat that does a similar thing)?

RAW it seems that way. I personally would give the +1 bonus to saves, but not +2.

Just to point out that a Spellguard Blade is still a weapon with the parry trait, and it still normally gives you a bonus to AC (in addition to the bonus to saves), so it works with Twin Parry the same as any other main-gauche works with Twin Parry. It's not worse than just using a normal main-gauche. The only question is whether or not you get the +1 to saves, which is probably table variation, though I think you probably should since you are parrying with that weapon.

Because the parry trait of the Spellguard Blade (a +1 striking main-gauche) triggers the additional +1 to the circumstance bonus to AC from Twin Parry, the wielder is, in effect, "benefiting from the +1 circumstance bonus to AC from this weapon's parry trait," thereby meeting the criteria for the bonus to saving throws against spells.
