I've put together the crunch for my character, still working on typing up the background and details. Just thought I'd get this out there to have Monkeygod and Anthorg see if there were any issues.

Student of Faith (Campaign Feat): While you have personally dedicated your life to a single deity, you study all religions and mortal faiths. Upon hearing that the town of Sandpoint recently completed a cathedral dedicated to the six deities most popular in the area, you had to see the place for yourself, and have arrived in time for the consecration of this holy edifice. Because of your strong faith and broad range of study, you cast all cure spells at +1 caster level, and whenever you channel energy, you gain a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of your channeled energy.
Birthmark (Faith Trait): You were born with a strange birthmark that looks remarkably similar to the holy symbol of Torag, his Iron Hammer. (Located on left side of his neck)
Benefits: This birthmark can serve as a divine focus for casting spells, and as a physical manifestation of your faith, it increases your devotion to your god. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all saving throws vs charm and compulsion effects.

| Aleksander Albus |
Okay, here's Ouavhitonian's submission. Aleks is a fetchling, come north from Nidal, where he's...no longer welcome. He's become intrigued by the ancient ruins of Thassilon, and in particular has been in Sandpoint checking out the Old Light for the last few months.
Mechanically, he's a Fighter/unRogue. All the Dex, lots of Int. But he's an odd Rogue. I took the Phantom Thief archetype, which gives up Sneak Attack and Trapfinding to instead get a bunch of skill stuff and greater flexibility in Rogue Talents (specifically they can take Minor Magic, Major Magic, and Combat Trick as much as they want, and take Skill Focus as a Rogue Talent). He TWFs with paired kukris (one summoned out of shadow, one normal steel. At least until I can summon two in a few levels.) So he's more a conventional crit-fisher than a Sneak Attack blender, offensively. But he'll have more out-of-combat utility than any fighter ever, and even most Rogues, except for not being able to disarm magical traps.* For my initial feats, I took the Fetchling Racial Feat Improved Shadowy Resistance (Resist Negative Energy 5, +2 on saves versus a lot of negative energy/death effect stuff. Take that evil clerics!) and Deepsight (double range darkvision with no light sensitivity!). Eventually, I plan on taking Major Magic a lot. It's not real casting, but being able to cast the right L1 SLAs a few times a day can still greatly improve my abilities.
*There is actually a Slayer Talent that lets you take Trapfinding. If the GM would be so magnanimous as to allow me to take it(Slayers can take Rogue talents, why not vice versa?), I'll do so at the first opportunity. If not, we'll figure something out.

Goliath isn’t from Sanpoint, but he’s been there maybe three times in his life and he knows the area, so anyone just getting to Sandpoint could maybe meet him on the road. Anyone who’s lived in Sandpoint for a few years might know him. He has a dinosaur so he’s kind of memorable. If anyone’s interested.

Still trying to decide what to pair Warpriest with, was leaning Fighter, but unsure if that's the final class I'll take.
Going to be a worshiper of Desna whose scared weapon is the starknife, and will likely be taking the Startoss Style feats.
Any suggestions? I know there's the Desna's Shooting Star feats, but idk if that's worth taking. Not sure I wanna go Bard or not.

Curious I'm not super familiar with that feat chain, so I looked around a bit and found:
weapon finesse (free with 'feat tax')
weapon focus (get whole group)
starry grace: dex modifier to damage
guided star: Add wisdom to damage and 'return weapon' for one round per level.
I'm not sure I love it, I guess I would ask if the modifiers for dex and wis, would be worth paying three feats to add. If there the primary stats. It might be. Especially with magnus you get weapon focus free, so two feats. I would wait and add guided star at like fifth or seventh level, just so the number of times to use it is higher.

Fighter doesn’t add much to warpriest unless you really want weapon/armor training. The bonus feats wouldn’t stack so you’d lose them on one side of gestalt, and bonus feats are 50% of what the fighter brings and 35% of what the warpriest brings unless an archetype removes the bonus feats. Maybe Flying Blade Swashbuckler? Full BAB and panache is CHA based, slightly better skills than warpriest. Warpriest + Swash would also give you best advancement in all three saves. Has the same bonus feat loss issue tho.
As for Desna’s Shooting Star “A cleric, inquisitor, or warpriest who worships a deity can choose to give up either the first power of one of her domains or a minor blessing benefit to gain access to her god’s divine fighting technique without having to meet the technique’s prerequisites (including the Divine Fighting Technique feat). In addition, a warpriest can give up a major blessing to gain the advanced benefit without meeting its prerequisites.”
Are there instructions for setting up an alias? I have not done so yet.
I don’t believe a profile is required for a submission. Some people don’t like making them until they know they’ll be playing the character.

Why wouldn’t the bonus feats stack?
When you get the same feature from two classes in gestalt they overlap and do not stack, so you can't get sneak attack twice at the same level. A bonus metamagic and a bonus combat feat would stack, but bonus combat feats from two classes at the same level are the same feature so they do not stack.
| hustonj |
Toying with this.
A rogue/sorcerer (sage) or a bard (busker)/swashbuckler (flying blade possible, but unlikely)
Don't expect to get past toying, though, really. We'll see if I get inspired to flesh a character out.
The 15 point build makes the gestalt option more appealing to me, actually, as it becomes about what works well instead of how much you can stack.

Hmm. I know that’s the case for something like sneak attack progression, I’m not sure that the fighter and Warpriest bonus feats are the same feature though. Could be wrong. But honestly, I can’t imagine what you’d need *that many* bonus feats for.

With all the PF1 feat bloat, several types of pure fighter builds need more feats than are available without some version of The Elephant in the Room type adaptions. People have gotten used to being forced to build grossly over-specialized characters instead of getting the versatility the class was supposed to be all about.
Just an opinion.

I had not looked at the warpriest before, they do have a different feature of using their warpriest level as BAB for the bonus feats while a fighter does not.
It is similar/different enough to be arguable.
I could see using the bonus feats, there are about three or four combat feats that are really attractive at first level that I will have to wait until later levels to get in my build. Each extra action option or defense means more at lower levels.

As to how long this will be open for, how about we close new submissions at midnight EST on Tuesday the 27th. We can then give people till the same time on the 3rd to finalize PCs.

The bear of an Ulfen man can often be found at the Hagfish telling stories about freeing orc slaves when he was a pirate preying on the fleets of the southern devil worshipers, being knighted by the Queen of Mendev for his demon hunting, and other improbable tales. Few take his claims to being a wizard seriously, especially considering the axe he carries and the scars he bears, but he is quick witted and friendly and made friends easily in the small fishing town. Mostly he asks about local ruins and local lore, but he turns grimmer when talk turns to the murders.

Why wouldn’t the bonus feats stack?
I think strictly by RAW, identically named features ("bonus feat" in the case of warpriest//fighter) don't stack in gestalt, you just take the fastest progressing one. Personally I don't care, I don't know why I even brought it up. If someone wants to gestalt fighter/fighter and get 30 feats I ain't gonna complain.

Ok. I think I have all the details fleshed out. Please let me know if something looks out of place.
May I introduce Junsef Dosensa Mada Zim Daelsu of Clan Iru, House Citru , greatbeast-hunter of the line of Rof known as Jun Citru. She is a hunter of large and unnatural creatures (giants, aberrations, and magical beasts). She quests for alchemical knowledge and fortune to bring prestige to her wounded clan.

Junsef Dosensa Mada Zim Daelsu of Clan Iru, House Citru , greatbeast-hunter of the line of Rof had a fairly normal childhood as a member of her clan and house. She was born and raised as a nomadic hunter on the Felldales of Numeria. After 25 years of training as a hunter, her time of Tempering was at hand. A year’s walkabout refining her skills identifying queries and learning their defenses and weaknesses was briefly interrupted when she rescued a half-orc alchemist from a pack of hungerseed tieflings. His hands had been broken and he had to teach Jun the rudiments of alchemy to brew some healing extracts.
Returning to her clan with her refined hunting skills and newfound alchemical knowledge she found her clan decimated. An attack from suspicious humans had left her clan shattered. With little family remaining, Jun chose to continue her wanderings to gain alchemical mastery in the hope that further study might bring a prestige to her struggling clan. She set her sights on the Lost Coast, hoping to find scholars in Riddleport or Magnimar willing to train her, trading her hunting skills or further knowledge.
Only a few years away from her clan, she still finds it hard to trust those she thinks of as outsiders, especially after they killed most of her clan. She has spend some time defending Varisian caravans plying routes among the Storval Plateau. Word of the founding of a new Cathedral in the small town of Sandpoint has piqued her interest. Perhaps the ceremony will draw old Deadeye's gaze and allow her better odds of his intervention and assistance in her quest.
At just under seven feet, Jun’s 12 stones are stretched thing. She is tall and gangly with long delicate appearing limbs. Their thin, delicate appearance hides a graceful wiry strength. Her pale grey weathered skin is tight on her elongated frame. The black orbs staring out over the Varisian scarf wrapped round the lower half of her face look upon the world with a mix of interest and distrust. Loosely strapped to the heavy pack on her back, a longbow rests on either side, quick release knots ready to loose them at a moment’s need. Her long strides move her dusty leather boots and worn trousers over the terrain in a smooth practiced gait. A dagger and a machete hang from either side of her belt. The multihued leather plates that make up her armor are mostly tans, browns, and greens. A weatherbeaten cloak hangs from her shoulders, pinned to her back by her bulging pack. As she treads carefully through the wilderness, her lower arms are bent, hands resting on the hilts of the weapons at her hips. Her upper arms moving between the vials carefully strapped into the bandolier draped across her chest and the bows strapped to her back.
I'll create the profile for her if chosen.

I've reconsidered my character some, and I'm thinking either Heavens Oracle or Starsoul Sorcerer for my 2nd class.
However, if we're really in need of casting, I can instead drop Warpriest, and go both Oracle and Sorc.
Of course it depends on who you pick. But we have a variety of casters. We just don't have a straight up wizards but Geriatric_ is going that way.
My applicant, Eiril is oracle/bloodrager. I'll admit, I'm considering switching it to rogue/warpriest, sort of a nod to the "Gentlemen Bastards."
I'll get up another list in the morning.

Mr. Henry...Gentlemen Bastards?! Dude. The Lies of Locke Lamora and the books that followed were brilliant! Scott Lynch is an amazing writer.
And MonkeyGod, I can't believe I'm the one saying this since I was the one suggesting changing chars...but play what you WANT to play. Anthorg started this whole thing for YOU, specifially, so that makes our characters sidekicks or comic relief. :D

I could not agree more. Believe it or not, My daughter turned me on to them when she was reading them in college.

Firstly, I want to play both. Heck, if this was tristlat(no I am not suggesting that, lol) I would play all 3 classes in one character! lol
But, also, I don't mind switching my classes around to help the group. They all fit the overall 'worshiper/follower of Desna' which is more important than the specific classes.
Finally, this might have been started 'for me', but ya'll are just as important. None of this 'sidekicks' or 'comic relief' nonsense :p

To be honest, it'd be cool if we decide to enforce one of the sides of the gestalt to be like "bard" for example :) It wouldn't work for my Shadoo, but I'd gladly put something else together. I always loved the idea of having a party that is also... A rock band of bards! Lol
@Biggs/rorek: honestly, I don't really like the idea of a goblin in the party in this AP. I have not a say in it and don't want to discourage you, so do your thing - I'm just giving my two cents.

I have often thought that a group of musicians that were adventurers was an interesting idea, I'd do it. Literally do a Five man band

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I have no desire for that sort of concept for this game. All bards(or whatever other class) can be cool, but it's just not something I want for my PC.
As for the goblin concept, Rorek messaged me details, and I think it can work. It's not going to be easy, but with the way he presented the concept it won't be any more difficult than say playing a Drow in a game set in the Forgotten Realms. There's ways both characters can work, without being KOS.

Don’t worry, I don’t mind. Like I said m, the character id like to play (this one) has nothing of bard in it. That’s probably an idea for a different game. And about the goblin, I have no weight on the decision - it’s about you and the GM only. I just think that that are enough opportunities to play goblins in other APs, and an immense variety of races to play in RotR. As in, we’d have no reason to be “pushing” so much to get something to work.

Hey, Shadoo. Lemme know if you find a game to sign up for as a band of wandering minstrels/performers. I agree it's not right for this, but it could be fun.
As for Mr. Biggs, * I * will play nice, as a player, and keep my character in check, but fair warning, Sparklefoot, Grael has the usual dwarven disgust, dislike, and distrust of Orcs and goblinkind. Should make for some fun and interesting rp'ing.

Narrator Voice: And so the heroes approached the Evil Castle of Horrific Death with caution and stealth, wary of making their presence known before absolutely necessary. However, the bugbears and gnolls somehow found them quickly and attacked in large numbers with much slashing and maiming.
Party Member: I don't know how they found us. Really. We were all dressed like ninjas and everything. Even the four armed lady...and that was hard to find her a gi, lemme tell you. It just doesn't make any sense. By the way, hand this healing potion to the drunken dwarf yelling his head off at the giggling goblin on top of the dinosaur...
LOL

Yeah, that could be a good one for it! Or War for the Crown. In another game I'm playing, we came out with another idea to see in the future - Hell's Rebels, but all with renegaded imps seeking redemption. As in, actual hell's rebels... Lol
I did an all Vigilantes Hell’s Rebels one time that was really fun until the GM disappeared.

As to how long this will be open for, how about we close new submissions at midnight EST on Tuesday the 27th. We can then give people till the same time on the 3rd to finalize PCs.
I think I have everyone, IF I missed someone or got the names wrong, please let me know.

@ Monkeygod:
I built Eiril as a bloodrager/oracle. I've played a bloodrager a couple of time's. One in an RoW game which had an oracle in it. The oracle was probably the 'crunchiest' build I've ever seen, so I copied a lot of it. Once I started putting together the gestalt chracters personality I realized he was a clone of the bloodrager. And the most interesting thing about him was that I was naming his Jerboa familiar, Muad'Dib. I knew I would get bored with the character and started playing around with the idea of a warpriest/rogue.
Another recruitment for RoTL came open and I applies for it with a rogue. That games recruitment ends today. If I get in it, I will drop out of this recruitment; no need to be in two of the same game with so few of us having played it. If not, I will be applying to this game with a warpriest/rogue of Calistria.
I will get his crunch and fluff posted before the deadline.
