Seems a silly question but I just ran into the invisibility to technology spell so I'm a little confused on how they interact.
Invisibililty
The creature or object touched becomes invisible (see page 264). If the target is a creature, any gear it is carrying vanishes as well. If you cast the spell on someone else, neither you nor your allies can see the target unless you can normally see invisible things or you employ magic to do so.
Which combined with a tech upgrade on some things that lets them see invisible creatures seemed straightforward the old invisibility/see invisible interaction. However then we have. . .
Invisibility to Technology
The target and its gear cannot be detected by cameras, motion detectors, technological armor upgrades such as infrared sensors, biotech and cybernetic eyes or ears, or other technological devices, and it is invisible to constructs with the technological subtype. The target is missing from technological images captured while the spell lasts, security cameras do not display the target, microphones pick up no sounds the target makes, and the target cannot trigger technological traps. This spell creates disadvantages for the target, as well. Talking on a comm unit is impossible while subjected to this spell, and automatic doors do not open for the target.
So how exactly do these two spells and see invisible creatures work?
1) Invisibility is invisible to everything unless countered?
2) Invisibility is invisible to organic beings but gets automatically seen by tech?
3) Invisibility is invisible to most things but can be detected by others e.g. infared sensors?
4) Invisibility to tech is invisible to tech but visible to non-tech people?
5) Invisibility to tech is invisible to tech upgrades that let you see invisible creatures?

Well, two obvious distinctions of Invisibility to Technology are immunity to triggering technological traps and motion detectors, which don't rely on vision and wouldn't be affected by regular Invisibility.
Not much of a difference, but worth a spellgem or two.
The issue is you cast invisibility to tech and the other party member casts invisibility then you both walk in front of a security guard with the see invisibility upgrade. What does he see?
1) Does he see both of you. You because your only inviisble to tech and he's seeing you with his eyes, the other party member because his tech detects them.
2) Does he see only the other player because your invisible to tech AND non-tech.
3) Does he see both of your because his see invisible creatures upgrade negates both your invisibility even though your invisible to the tech that's seeing you?

*scratches head in puzzlement*
None of that has anything to do with what I posted?
No but those are the questions I'm pondering now that I've found out there's a "invisibility to technology spell".
I can see how motion/infared sensors might trigger a trap from normal invisibility (your post) I can't see how invisibility to technology interacts with the technological item that detects invisible creatures.
My concern is less when would this be useful but how do invisibility, invisibility to tech, tech based invisibility detection all interact so I know with this what the rules are for it. As far as I can tell invisibility to tech doesn't make you invisible to normal sight since it has no mention of "otherwise functions as invisibility".
So I think . . .
1) Invisibility = Can't be seen by anything but can be detected by other senses (infared and motion sensors, pressure plates).
2) Invisibility to tech = Can't be seen by technology but are visible to anyone looking at you.
3) Tech detect invisible = Detects normal invisibility and doesn't detect tech invisibility but the guard with the upgrade will see you anyway. However normal level rules would make me think see invisibility tech should see someone invisible to tech because its a lower level spell but its a spell that specifcially affects tech so around I go.

Invisibility - can't be detected except by see invisibilty effects
Invisibility to Tech - can't be detected by technology (even tech based see invisibility effects)
Hmmm so you really want both in Starfinder Invisibility to not be seen by people, tech invisibility so you aren't picked up by tech.

That is what I end up doing as a high level espionage based Technomancer, all the time. You can get Cloaking or Glass Skin augment so you dont end up using too many spell slots. I find in this kind of game you also might need Delay Countermeasure, Implant Data, or Manipulate Tech, even if you have a high-ranking hack focused exo-mechanic on your team...
I think Starfinder is a bit obsessed with all the ways that you can be or detect invisible creatures. We can have Blindsense/sight keyed to Vibration, Life, Thought, Computers(?), Heat, etc.. You can use a sonic weapon to tag creatures in a way that expands your Blindight to them. You may have to use a Silence type effect to counteract that. They seem pretty into complicating that area of the game.
